The Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a 3-1 deficit for the first time in NBA Finals history and brought the city of Cleveland their first championship since 1964. Let's take an in-depth look back at the classic 7 game series between the 2016 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.
About the NBA:
The NBA is the premier professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. The league is truly global, with games and programming in 215 countries and territories in 47 languages, as well as NBA rosters at the start of the 2015-16 season featuring 100 international players from 37 countries and territories. For the 2015-16 season, each of the league's 30 teams will play 82 regular-season games, followed by a postseason for those that qualify.
The NBA consists of the following teams: Atlanta Hawks; Boston Celtics; Brooklyn Nets; Charlotte Hornets; Chicago Bulls; Cleveland Cavaliers; Dallas Mavericks; Denver Nuggets; Detroit Pistons; Golden State Warriors; Houston Rockets; Indiana Pacers; Los Angeles Clippers; Los Angeles Lakers; Memphis Grizzlies; Miami Heat; Milwaukee Bucks; Minnesota Timberwolves; New Orleans Pelicans; New York Knicks; Oklahoma City Thunder; Orlando Magic; Philadelphia 76ers; Phoenix Suns; Portland Trail Blazers; Sacramento Kings; San Antonio Spurs; Toronto Raptors; Utah Jazz; Washington Wizards.
LeBron Raymone James (born December 30, 1984) is an American basketball player with the Cleveland Cavaliers. James first garnered national attention as the top high school basketball player in the country. With his unique combination of size, athleticism and court vision, he became one of the premier players in the NBA. After leading the Miami Heat to titles in 2012 and 2013, he returned to Cleveland and helped the franchise claim its first championship in 2016.

Wow. I'm 34 minutes in and I'm surprised I'm so glued to my phone and there is no narration or added clips. Just real footage. Bravo man. Someone said after he retires, this will skyrocket. I agree.
Michael Thomas that really means a lot thank you, did you end up watching it all?
AoTheGoat sure did. Great compilation. Gonna show my kids when they get old enough to understand how great he was.
IMO, comparing him to Jordan is wrong. Just like comparingKareem, or oscar, or magic. All different players who were the best at what they did. I think lebron will go down as a bit of a stat hunter, especially now that he's a bit older. Still great but I see more flaws in his teams now
Hands down one of the best videos of Lebron. The 🐐
@Please shut up thanks bruh, I forgot about this video until your comment
I always feel a tinge of sadness about how fast Lebron had to grow up. The pressure while still a teenager is nuts and he's done nothing but live up to expectation and outwork everybody for decades.
Yep for decades. He played his ass off
everyone i hear him talk i think about it
Awhhh he made a billion dollars so saaaddd 😢

Darius Miles and the others were talking like they had a winning record. They were winning like 19 games a year. There was no bandwagon to get on. He changed the team and the who city and state around. Ohio thrived off of LeBron. I've read the articles on how Cleveland revenue grew when he came to the team. Went down when he left and grew again when he came back.
They were just cocky, thought themselves better than a high schooler who obviously had more talent than they did so they felt humiliated and threatened
It is a business at the end of the day. Let me put it to you this way, the nba wouldn’t exist if there wasn’t money involved
But that's what made them pros. That supreme confidence. You don't make to the league unless you think like that. They were just wrong about "The King." And all of them who spoke like that were gone by the time bron took flight in the league.
@@Th3Illegal to be fair, alot of people didn't necessarily criticize him because "he abandoned his home" but because he made a show out of it. Don't get me wrong, they went crazy, but just pointing out that it wasn't just a sense of entitlement, I think even Michael Jordan thought he was too cocky for that
@@andrewsutherland133 yea that’s true, all the greats who were alive during that time told him he was wrong for that
Bron could average plus 10 in pts, ast, reb, stl, and blocks and people would still say he's trash if he lost the finals.
People love to hate greatness.
Garbage
Because they don't appreciate greatness
People will always hate greatness because they themselves don't have any greatness within.

I said it before and I’ll say it again. When LeBron retires they will realize how true greatness. Best player to ever play the game
When he went to Miami the Cavaliers went from winning over 50 games a year to barely cracking 20. Single-handedly. Coming back from 3-1 in the finals. About to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record, there's no way people who still hate on him are going to let up just because he's gone. Skip his completely sounded the trollhorn and they on him. Cleveland needed him to go to Miami so they could get back to the draft. They were never going to win a championship with the caliber of players they had and they sure as f*** weren't going anywhere high in the draft with him.

LEBRON's a tough enough player for THEM to use every scheme they had on ONE player (lebron)
an entire team focused on ONE PLAYER (lebron)
that's the POWER of Lebron 💪
By the end of his career there will be a documentary spanning +20 years of his career man, how crazy is that. Lebron’s story is not only about basketball, but overcoming hardship and struggle. This dude had the weight of the WORLD on his shoulders when he was only 16 years old, to think he seceded all expectations put on him 2 decades ago is absurd.
Lebron been my greatest athlete since he entered the league and on the night where he is 36 points away from being the all time leader in points, I finally decided to watch this documentary and OH MY GOODNESS. No matter who you got as the greatest of all time. This man should be appreciated from generations to generations.
Born and raised in Miami I remember being a kid when the heat one their first championship with Lebron. The craziest and most exhilarating thing to happen to our city. I was watching the full game in my house with my family and my cousins and uncles would make create a dog pile with their bodies everytime someone would score towards the end of the game. I remember all of the 3-pointers made in these highlights. When we won, we drove around and I swear the whole city was out, honking our horns, yelling, laughing, the traffic was insane, ppl were blasting music just celebrating together all night. I’ll never in my life forget that beautiful night and how emotional and proud the city was. That team was probably one of the best in NBA history.
multiply that by 1000 and that’s what it was like in Cleveland... good times

When this video makes it big. I was there for the journey. From the hype in HS. To exceeding expectations in 2003. To becoming a legend in between. I am...no. I was a witness.
I was going to like this but didn’t wanna mess up the 23 👍🏾
Damn those numbers from his 1st game in the NBA were awesome...He came in balling
This to me, is why he is the greatest. No other player had this amount of pressure as a young boy and turned out to be this Great. The average person feels pressure and gets uncomfortable imagine the pressure he had on him and he prevailed. Along with all the statistics this is why he is The Greatest.... To Me
For real, and they always want to talk about his finals record. Michael Jordan's greatness caused a ripple effect that turns up the whole world on basketball. So I would say the amount of killers on the floor has risen 10 times over. The MVPs for how many past years have been International Players?
@@caseyrayharris.esquire489 I just say this imagine Hakeem, Ewing, Karl Malone, or even Barkley able to bring the ball down the court like Durant and pull up from three 🤔

Draymond knew that Lebron was so good that the only way to beat him was to have KD on the Warriors. He is without a doubt a true titan of basketball. The owner of the Bulls said during Jordan's number retirement that anyone who wore 23 after Jordan would only be a pretender. 17 years old being compared to Magic and Jordan. No one ever had more hype, overperformed and delivered more crazy ass games especially in the playoffs than Lebron James. To me he's the single most valuable player of all time. He gives any team elite scoring, passing, and zone defense. He shows up when he needs to for rebounds and 1 on 1 defense, and his chasedown block is iconic. It took three all time 3 point shooters and a DPOY who can pass better than the guards to beat Lebron after the 3-1 comeback.

You really have to pay attention to what's going on in the world and don't let your prejudices blind you! Michael Phelps may be the only athlete who has been as dominant this CENTURY!
Ethan Ritter he lost but it doesn't matter because he carried a below average team to he finals
Don’t ever call this man soft! He’s faced struggles, adversity, and major odds his ENTIRE life and has come out on top from having more pressure at the age of 16 and up for 20 years and counting while he’s shined brighter than the sun for 2 decades from a young man to a grown man who’s an amazing role model, friend, husband, and father! He’s given so much back to the sport and to the communities of this nation making sure he helps kids go to school, charities, and helping families and organizations! LeBron James is the G.O.A.T on the court AND off the court! He was never a selfish man or a selfish player! Always has respect for others and most importantly has respect for himself and has always known his true worth against all odds he’s become a real life super hero that kids can truly look to for confidence, admiration, self-esteem, and hope, Hopes that one day they too can live their dreams out on the big stage no matter what job, sport, or goals they have in mind!

I think that you should have added LeBron's Olympic medals from 2008 and 2012 to the video. Great work overall, I trully enjoyed it, even tho I'm a GSW fan, respect is more than everything!
3-1 lead
Regardless of where he ranks on everyone's list, at 16, he said wanted to be the best.. I think he fulfilled his dream and lived up to all the hype.. There is no question, he's the GOAT of his era!!
I agree. He had so much pressure and he’s been a target since he was 16 and still lived up to the hype.
This should have even more view than 1.6 million. Awesome job on this man.
Imagine being a highschool kid at that time, you are only hooping for fun etc but people in Cleveland was waiting for you to enter the league, and relying to your back as they know, you will bring them a championship and after a few years, You Did! wooooow bro! what a story !!!Greatness!
Year 18 and still 💪🏽👑!
Can't forget that best NBA 73-9 record. HAS NO CHAMPIONSHIP RING TO CAP ON IT.
Lmao right
Can’t forget 5 finals losses
Lol.
They won it by suspending the best defensive player on the other team.
Shadow Massive He did play in game 6 and 7, right? Just asking for a friend.
Just seeing the cavs fans hate him for leaving after carrying them for 6 years getting as far as he could by himself really makes is that much sweeter that he won in Miami. And then to come back and win in Cleveland is just what cements his as the goat for me honestly
People don't give him the respect he is due. He led a bunch of nobodies to the finals in 07. he led a bunch of nobodies to the best record in the league 2 years in a row. SMH
Please stop. No one says he isn't great. But when you bronsexuals start with the "goat" talk, it's just embarrassing. And let's be honest, when you flop like a fish for a decade, choke in more big moments than you come through, you don't get respect. Being a physical freak of nature doesn't automatically get you respect. If he was Curry's size he'd be an absolute nobody and you wouldn't even know his name.
He didnt come thru only in one finals appearance. Other than that the teams he faced was way better the teams he had. Jordan the one changed all the rules to fit his game don't blame LeBron for something Jordan started. Yall people kill me with that bullshit. You couldn't blow on Jordan without a foul after the bad boys nearly beat him to death. SMH
Jordan played against a bunch of nobodies when he won titles
Tim Duncan swept him in the finals then Kobe was back to back finals mvp 5 rings best player in the league.
And he led nobodies to a 66-16 record
People speak as if mj only played 6 years in the league 👀 but criticize bron for losing to some of the best teams ever assembled in the finals ..wonder what happened the other years in mj career
Man I'll always get emotional at that buzzer sounding. And Lebron doing that interview. Especially because even Dorris interviewing him was about to cry too. Her eyes were watery and voice was shaky. She could really tell even she knew how special this was for Lebron

How was it shocking that bron, literally w no help at all, lost to a team w 3 all stars..? And rondo who is was about as good as he’s ever been around that time.
I moved to Miami in 2013. I was just a football kid. Lebron made me love basketball. For that I’m forever grateful
Did you notice the 2012 okc roster, they were so stacked, Durant, Westbrook, harden, fisher, ibaka, Perkins, etc. But I guess they were going up against lebron and the flash
I watch it from the beginning and I am proud that Im a lebron fan! Support him from 11 years old until now 22 years old! 11 years being his fan is awesome! Strive for greatness!
Man that I’m coming home song brought so many memories back I swear 😭🗣
You can’t help but watch this over and over, lebron wanted that championship for his city bad, you can tell how he played in that series, insane absolutely insane game play, he absolutely harassed the warriors every chance he got solid defense blocked shots, then dunks fast break points assists three ball, I mean my god, he was freaking ballin on ‘em period, thank you Lebron for never giving up.

I just wish that lebron and wade could have made this happen sooner they were such a great duo one of the best 1-2 punches in nba history even if it was very short lived they were so dynamic had they have been able to play together as long as scottie and mj i think wade and lebron they would have won at least 6 rings together as well
God, I’ve seen Lebron’s block at least a hundreds times. Epic!!!!!!
Im late, but this is the best lebron documentary out
For me the greatest ever, Lebron James, Im 35yearsold and a MJ airness fan but LBJ is on a SSS diff level, a complete player ma mans!
Y'all like to say Jordan over LeBron and I get that's just an opinion but you have to ask your self has Jordan ever received the expectations that LeBron had to over come and still Is over coming on a daily basis I mean look at the talent he's facing now I mean he's taking bums to the NBA finals never had a legit team like a Scottie or a Dennis rodman or a head coach I mean look how good these dudes are now so if you ask me LeBron is in a tougher era Skil wise just my opinion

It's just so sad how bad all his teammates were before Irving and Love. Bron been carrying since 2003.
Yeah Kevin, Kyrie, and LeBron did that. They won that championship together.
No homo, but I love this man! In my eyes, he's not only the GOAT, but someone worth looking up to.

I was watching this while working out. Great documentary.
Scott Stuart what a legend!!! The fact that Lebron returned to Cleveland to help them win a championship says a lot because all the hate from some of the fans! Others would not even want to come back! Would you come back to a team that hated your decision when on the contrary the fans would have pushed hard to keep him as a cavalier and the office provide him with a good supporting team around him? He came back in 2014 because they brought Love and Kyre plus Lebron wanted to bring a title home! Say what you want to say about LeBron but the respect and admiration is there!
I've always been a Michael Jordan fan but i have tremendous respect for Lebron James.
See that's the disrespect on espn. Just because you like one player doesn't mean you are sitting on another. People can have different opinions, and it is not outrageous that some people believe him to be the best ever. Skip just had a slow media day and wanted to say something controversial and everybody reacted as he knew they would and he's been milking that cash cow ever since. Somebody who's about to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record, has shattered many other records, was the sole cause of the Cavaliers going from over 50 wins to just barely 20 wins. One player left and all of a sudden they are bad enough to go back to the draft? Anybody who doubts his greatness is either ignorant and is just drinking skips Kool-Aid or a mother f****** troll
his first nba dunk gave them 23 points ..thats fate
Watching this before he passes Kareem always come back to this video!
I realize now, much more than I did then, how significant his 1st game performance was against THAT Sacramento Kings lineup! 25 and 9, with that team man! AND Doug Christie was on the floor, a well known defensive sg in his time
How many college players got pissed that a highschool kid was drafted b4 all of them and felt really disrespected?
I watched the whole video and it was really good and surprisingly it wasn’t boring it was actually really really good great video
End of his career he will be the best ever
No doubt

49:00-51:34 Character of a crybaby. None of these Warriors players have a million dollar shoe deal as a superstar from their rookie days. They played as a whole bball team unlike Cavs one man team and dream of stacking up stats. Lebron kept ranting "i don't have a superstar in my team to beat 'em." Weak ass loser.

This was totally worth watching, if you love Lebron and this video doesn't make you happy then i don't know what does
It's just amazing to see that his first stat was an assist.
After covid19 making us stay home, I had to watch my idol
This was well made and I watched every single second. This needs be put on Netflix, Hulu or ESPN.
In this season (18/19) the Cavs are currently the last in the eastern conference (21 of November), after 4 years straight finals and top positions. Here you see what one player can effect...unbelievable
One of the Greatest Of All Time in his sport. From the inception, some of us could've seen him as such. We have not seen anything like him and perhaps never will. His off the court actions are exemplary. He has lived up to the expectation of the monikers, the 'Chosen One' & 'King James' that other people had placed on him.
CORRECT!!!
that's "why" Nike reminded us, in the 2023 NIKE commercial
of that GIANT 2003 billboard they created of Lebron ..
which said: *WE ARE ALL WITNESSES*
So much respect for a guy that has never doubted himself regardless of the situations surrounding him.
Challenges from the day he was born, criticism from the day he entered the league and all he does is prove them wrong.
Lebron is not MJ, he should stop being compared to MJ as he is Lebron and writing his own script just as Kobe did, Bird and Magic before them aswell, however that's just what happens in sport and life.
He is a human firstly and a basketball player second, and one that all future generations can look up to for the way he handles himself both on and off the court. Best player ever, second best player ever, 124905th best player ever, the impact he has had on so many lives is what he should be remembered for.
And no I'm not a Lebron dick rider. I'm a Celtics fan and have thoroughly enjoyed the matches played against him for the past 10 years. From 2008-The currently 2-2 ECF now, I've ridden the rollercoaster of results that the Celts and Cavs/Heat have had and not once been on Lebrons side. Simply respect the person first and his game second.
Peace.
I completely agree and I'm a Celtics fan too!
Im so happy fans like yall exist. We should all just appreciate greatness. MJ Kobe Bron Steph KD etc. Its retarded hating on these niggas man, they work hard. Cant hate on em.

Greatest feat in NBA History...LBJ led both teams in finals series in all 5 MAJOR categories, and this was achieved vs a team that just posted the BEST regular season record (73-9, GSW) in NBA history (besting the Bulls previous 72-10). So till this feat remains unmatched, LBJ still remains SUPREME !!!! Long Live the KING !!!!!

A fabulous watch! Loved that final game 7. They had to recruit Kevin Durant, the NBA’s greatest shooter, to get them over the hump, all while LJ had no team, yet still got to 2 more finals! In my mind, GS only has won 2 finals, after 2022 finals. What Cleveland accomplished, no other team has. EVER!
Thank you for creating this. Good work.

He made the finals twice without Kyrie
Thank you tremendously for this.
Great Video man! Goosebumps!
Lebron James. Big ego yet humble. Always looking out for everyone yet sees the world a different way from everyone around him. Which makes him stand out, he doesn’t want to be a leader but his views are different which puts him in those types of situations. A tough childhood, turned into a hero, villain, and him finding him self. A role model for people who struggle against the rest of the world who want it to be better.
Know what's funny. He said he can't name anyone or a team that made it to the finals without 2 all stars... he just accomplished that this year so he'll be the only person to ever take a team to a finals without an all stars because love been "hurt" throughout playoffs

LeBron is easily the best basketball player of all time. His “legacy” might not be the most stacked, but by just watching this man play, it’s obvious he’s the best player to ever touch a basketball. The best passer ever, best all-around player ever.
Yeah. Michael is a great scorer, and so was Kobe, but LeBron can pass the ball and do all that. His weakness is free throws.
