I will never forget this finals. I’m a rockets fan, but I was literally crying tears of joy when the cavs won. It was the greatest nba finals in my opinion
This was the best finals in history no doubt. most memorable, most fun to watch, and best because it was just the best. Winning after being down 3-1 never happened before in an NBA Finals in the history of the game and probably won’t ever be repeated and if it is that will be decades from now. Lebron going back to Cleveland and fulfilling his promise was a tear jerker. The 52 year nightmare ended right there on that court.
I am blessed to be part of watching that live. Hands down to be down 1-3 in the NBA Finals and mount that historical against the winningest team in the history of the game and to lead in all categories of the game. Hats off to Lebron. It cannot be compared to anything we have seen prior and possibly forever.
True. Cavs and Warriors were 1-1 , they would've probably continue going to the finals and competing against each other. Could've been a Lakers/Celtics type rivalry
@@chrisshockey5845 what if lebron comes back from a 3-0 deficit against Milwaukee. Still think the clips making the finals but it would be sick if lebron does that
Philadelphia Eagles I didn’t say he’s going to lock down Giannis. I said if. Why are you arguing about something that hasn’t happened yet, but very much could happen? You’re gonna look real stupid in a few months.
I live near Akron Ohio where LeBron grew up. I don’t only look at him as a 3 time champion and NBA Superstar, I look at him as a hero for what he’s done for Akron. He’s created the I promise school for the people that can not afford school, he’s created the Lebron James family foundation for people who can’t afford education, and he’s donated millions of dollars to thousands of different charities. Lebron, thank you for everything you’ve done in our community and congrats!
Ghost Streamer Fan69 it’s sad everyone looks over all the great things he has done off the court by hating on him day after day. some nba fans are disappointing..
To be the only 3-1 comeback in NBA finals history against the best team in the history of the league.. this counts as two rings if you talk about legacy.
I WAS AT THE GAME: I’m from Cleveland. There were maybe only 300 Cleveland fans in the whole arena. Why? 4 reasons…1) There were only connecting flights from Cleveland to Oakland/San Francisco (no direct flights). 2) Tickets were INSANELY expensive. 3) If they lost, it would be a VERY depressing flight home…with a connector. 4) They are playing Game 7 in Golden State…the team that had the best record in NBA history. That said, it was a very high risk, high reward scenario. I spent $3,000 for an 18th row ticket. My heart raced the entire game. Didn’t eat and maybe took a sip of water all 48 minutes (severe dry mouth). Fast forward to when Kyrie hit the go-ahead 3 pointer (31:57)…this 65 year old woman, only fan near me, from Cleveland (I never met before) literally pulled an Elaine Benes and pushed me so hard and starting shaking me with complete and utter shock…”Holy sh*t…we may actually win this thing.”…and sure enough….I took a $3000 risk on the greatest NBA game of all time. 😊 PS: My profile pic is me at the game wearing the CLE shirt.
That must've been the most amazingly satisfying experience. I'm a lifelong Messi fan and part of me debated whether or not to splurge the $10k it'd cost me to scalp a seat, get flights and accommodation for the 2022 World Cup Final but ultimately decided not to. Not because I thought it was too much money or too much bother, but because I adore Messi so much I simply couldn't bear to watch him lose another World Cup Final, all the more so in person. Thankfully he and Argentina did win the final but just watching it on television was brutal; Argentina went up 2-0 in the first half and controlled the game beautifully for 80 of the 90 minutes, only to give up a stupid penalty in the 80th minute and France converted, and then they scored an incredible goal 90 seconds later and less than 2 minutes we went from 2-0 to 2-2 and France now had the clear energy advantage. It went to overtime being incredibly competitive both sides attacking and nearly scoring again and again, and then in the 2nd half of Overtime Messi scores putting Argentina up 3-2 and everybody celebrated assuming he'd just won it for Argentina, his crowning moment in the greatest career of anyone in the sport... Only for Argentina to give up ANOTHER stupid penalty with 4 minutes remaining... Making it 3-3... And in those dying 3-4 minutes both sides went for it with both Goalkeepers making incredible clutch saves and eventually, after 6 goals and 120 minutes of play it all came down to the brutality of penalties. Thankfully Argentina came away the winners but seriously it was the most emotionally draining experience of my life. If I'd had to experience it in person I'd probably have had a heart attack.
Sorry I enjoyed your comment story so much that I accidentally left my reply for the video under it lol. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story your comment, I will never forget where I was when game 7 went final to read other people recalling that exact moment is wonderful.

I replayed this about 10-20 times now and it never gets old, so legendary. And to top it off, Kyrie’s clutch 3 at the end to solidify the finals. Greatest Game 7 in NBA History and it’s not even a question.
It's actually crazy too how in the span of like 20 seconds during that play, Warriors had the inital inbound then Cavs took the defensive rebound before missing their shot leading up to that moment and Lebron was always there capitalise throughout

If u look closely, U can see the entire city of Cleveland on his shoulders. U can see the entire state of Ohio on his back. U can see the entire Cavs team in his hands. U can see determination in his eyes. U can see passion and his love for all those things in his heart. This is when he became a man. He won some championships in Miami but that wasn't his defining moment as a man. He didnt create that team. He didnt raise it. He didnt nurture it. It was this Cleveland Cavaliers team that he cherished. This team was his family. He cared about this team and I honestly believe he couldn't have done this on any other team. This was an emotional moment for him and he knew that if the Cavs lost this series, there wouldn't be another chance. He knew that this wasn't just a game. The city itself was at stake. The team, the city, the state, the fans, they all had a unique bond and an unspoken understanding of what needs to be done. It all came together to become one of the greatest moments in the history of sports. Well done, well deserved.
Nuttinlikeit it really was well deserved and that city really and loves him and their athletes because they love my brother n law and will forever love them...
Growing up in Akron, Ohio, I've always been a Cleveland Cavaliers fan. I've always looked up to LeBron as more than just an NBA Superstar. The stuff he does for my comminity. The examples he sets for all the kids coming out of Akron. We all grew up with that "I wanna be like LeBron" mindset because at one point LeBron was just a kid from Akron. So if he made it, why couldn't we? Even when he left Cleveland, I was still a fan of his, but my heart was still with the Cavs. Years and years went by. Cleveland had its ups and downs. In 2011 we drafted Kyrie. Although he left to play for boston, i will never forget him. He's got to be one of my favorite players of all time. All the game winners he's hit, all the crazy shots and ankle breakers hes had, it was just fun to watch him play. Now its 2014, off season and i hear LeBron is coming back with one of the best at the time big men in league and kyrie? We also have a young athletic presence (shumpert) and previous 6th man of the year (JR Smith). I was beyond ecstatic. But by the ens of the season i was pretty heart broken. I noticed the chemistry issues. People didnt wanna play their roles. Kyrie was still that young cocky scorer. Kevin Love still hadnt developed a solid shot. It was hard to watch. Post season came. Love got injured. So it was Kyrie and the king to the finals. Kyrie gets injured so now its just lebron. He put in his best effort but lost... I was so angry. Next season came we got more talents on our team. plenty of new players. Although the cavs had a rough start, we finished the season pretty well. Kyrie and Love were back. We basically swept the competition in the east. Made easy work of them. It was finals time again. Everyone was healthy. I knew this would be fair. Cavs lose the 3 out of the first 4 games. I thought it was over. Why would i even bother watching TV knowing we're gonna lose. Game 5 and 6 we won. There was still hope. I remember watching game 7 surrounded by family. Such a close and contested game. Every shot mattered. So far this series is probably one of the greatest finals series' of all time. In all cateragories of sports. The relentless scoring from the warriors. The beautiful playmaking from the cavs. Everything up to the final minutes of game 7, MATTERED. 3 minutes left both teams are tied 89 and they're exhausted. Miss after miss after miss. It was bad basketball but it was suspenseful. Wondering which team would score next and how the other team would react... Cavs put up an ugly shot and miss. Iggy gets the ball and storms down the court. And i can remember see just lightning in lebron's soles. He ran down the court so fast all i could see was this black blur. Then all you see is the ball fly backwards out of iggys hand and away from the basket. Cavs posession. Another back and fourth fight for the basket. Cavs get it again. Clock winding down. Kyrie has the ball. He sauces curry up a little bit and hits the biggest shot of the series. We did it. The game was over. I knew from that point forward. It didnt matter if golden state got a shot off. We won. I think i cried tears of joy watching that series. This without a doubt is the greatest finals series of ALL TIME.
Three of the greatest comebacks in sports in one year, 3-1 series in the N.B.A. finals, 28-3 game in the N.F.L. Super Bowl and 3-1 comeback in M.L.B. World Series.
Never forget that LeBron led both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks against a 73 win team. Jordan may have the best basketball legacy, but LeBron is the best human being to ever play basketball.
The question is how much you dominate your own era, that’s why MJ will never be beaten. He was 20 years ahead of his time, Bron isn’t. Simple as that I’m afraid.
People forget how popular Jordan was. Kids in Vietnamese villages knew Jordan before the internet was common. Kids in rural Australia wanted to be Jordan and they barely played much basketball on TV, let alone showed their news to build hype. He was an international superstar, before they existed at that level. He was an icon.
@@alexmansfield8676 The competition back then didn't have anyone like KD or Curry. Today's competition is definitely better than MJ's era, since there's some sort of science involved in sports and better nutrition now a days.
@@MINK2393 How is he?!? This was magic! I only put the Detroit / Mavs championships up there with this beauty. Keep in mind I am a Lakers fan, and have been long before Lebron came our way. This was a true David vs Goliath story.
Best NBA finals ever. Still makes me emotional as hell. I’ll never forget the feeling. Thank you to this great group of guys, Cleveland will never forget.
Yeah, KD left the Thunder and broke up the Cavs! Kyrie and LeBron both left, one by one. Cavs done! Now, let's see what each one can do separately. They made good moves: Kyrie finally with KD on the nets and LeBron with AD on the Lakers. Hopefully either one of them will get a ring, and better yet, hopefully both will get another ring or two.
yo... i remember watching game 7 live... a lady came into the store asking for help airing her tires in the last 2 min of the game, LOL. long story short, i told her it's easy and she can do it herself
True bro. I can't believe how many people who were rooting for the Warriors honestly (meaning non warrior fans). The Warriors were like the heavy weight champion, with the best record of all time, against an average cavs team. Crazy they pulled it off
@Rowen Rivahein RAPS got lucky as hell bruh.if only those injurie happen to the cavs when they were against the warriors. could have been 3-1 in favour of the cavs
I’m honestly kinda surprised how no one is talking about the fact that the Warriors had to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the WCF to get to the finals and then blew a 3-1 lead the round after😂
God still to this day I can’t believe the Cavs won. I was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio and rooted for the Cavs before these finals and I root for them still till this day. This is one of those games that you remember exactly where you were at, I was at my grandmas house and my eyes were glued to the tv while I sat in front of it on the floor . I remember being so nervous and scared that the Cavs were going to lose again because when they lost in 2015 I was devastated so I knew this year we had to win. I and everyone else watching witnessed history live, but as someone who actually is from Cleveland and suffered the lost throughout the years, seeing them finally win our first championship in any sport since 1964 was amazing. I remember the block, the shot, Kevin Loves defense on Curry, LeBron’s free throw and the sound of the buzzer going off better than the back of my hand. When LeBron had that iconic block on Iguodala I screamed of joy and when Kyrie hit that game winning 3 I started to celebrate but I was still terrified, until we were up by 4 points with 10.6 seconds left of the game. The Warriors had the ball with 10.6 seconds left of the the game and Cleveland was up by 4 it was at that moment I knew the Cavs won their first ever NBA championship. The Cavs were the underdogs and they were going against a 73-9 team, no one though they could’ve came back from a 3-1 lead but as a Cavs fan I knew that the could do it and I believed in them. This game was more than just basketball. This game was history, the first team in NBA history to comeback from a 3-1 lead in the finals, the Cavs first ever NBA championship, Cleveland’s first championship in 52 years and it was the best night of my life. I remember when the clock ran out and the buzzer went off I started to celebrate and jump around, I poured water and beer on me just because how happy I was and I didn’t know what to do. I remember the day after I had to check my phone and see if the Cavs actually won and I was so happy that it wasn’t a dream. To me as a Cavs fan this made LeBron the Goat, he did something no one else ever did. He came back after 4 years and told Ohio that he was going to give us a championship and he sure did. This game made me respect LeBron as a player and person forever and he will always be the GOAT in my eyes. When LeBron left Cleveland in 2018 I wasn’t mad because he gave us a championship like he said he was going to do. In fact when LeBron left I was a big LeBron fan by then and I told my self wherever LeBron goes I go and rooted for him ever since despite he’s not on Cleveland anymore. When Kyrie left Cleveland in 2017 I wasn’t mad because I was great full for what he did for the Cavs and the city and state of Cleveland, Ohio. I also have too much respect for Kyrie and I root for him and his team to this day. Kevin Love is amazing and I will always support him as well. Also I have to thank the Warriors for choking and blowing a 3-1 lead, seriously I really appreciate that. And in wise words of LeBron James “CLEVELAND THIS IS FOR YOU!”
Jayy Kau Chill out how was not chill, tf you mean that was the greatest finals of all time and Lebron proves everyone right again that he can lead a team. Jordan was never a leader he was a player who only cared about his legacy
Galactuz GC Why you talkin bout Jordan? I didnt compare him to Bron. Bronsexuals always assume before they get checked lmao. So, if it proved hes the GOAT. What did the one where he got swept prove?
@@ProfessionalFartSmeller Lol, you mean to tell me Jordan would not have been swept? Jordan would have a losing record had he played against the teams LeBron played against in the same situations. Probably a worse record than Bron actually. And thats facts. Bron does so much more with less, Jordan doesn't even compare in that regard. He couldn't even get out of the first round without Pippen/Rodman. Let alone make it to the Finals. Bron has never lost in the Finals and carried a team as the lone all star to the Finals. Tf you mean?

Loved when he call Curry a "bitch ass nigga" ... Because he is. Cavs figured out how to beat the Warriors and they knew it. That's why they went and cried for Durant. Play physical on Klay and Steph. They hate being bumped especially twig boy Curry... And force Curry to switch on ball handler. The Warriors system makes Curry look like a good defender. He isn't. He gets cooked 1 on 1 especially against someone like Kyrie.

Pulled an Elaine Benes caught me so off guard I choked lmaooo

This was an emotional moment for him and he knew that if the Cavs lost this series, there wouldn't be another chance. He knew that this wasn't just a game. The city itself was at stake. @Shea Thompson that's what she said
Growing up in Akron, Ohio, I've always been a Cleveland Cavaliers fan.

The question is how much you dominate your own era, that’s why MJ will never be beaten. He was 20 years ahead of his time, Bron isn’t. Simple as that I’m afraid.
People forget how popular Jordan was. Kids in Vietnamese villages knew Jordan before the internet was common. He will soon have the same legacy if not better

He couldn't even get out of the first round without Pippen/Rodman. Let alone make it to the Finals. Bron has never lost in the Finals and carried a team as the lone all star to the Finals. Tf you mean?
They missed so many epic moments in this mini-movie:
- "NO TEAM EVER CAME BACK FROM 3-1 DEFICIT" commentary
- "Lebron blocking steph and trash talking him"
- "Klay saying "lebron got his feelings hurt"
- "Lebron with sun glasses at the press conference"
- "Rdc world1 finals skits"
Yea, I agree
Kevin love defense, lebron greatest dunk in game 6
The lebron/ green interaction
That laugh after hearing what klay said was the moment shit got real.

As a die hard warriors fan, it's like a torture watching this video, it still haunts me even though it was 6 years ago. Huge respect for Lebron, Kyrie and the Cavs for that one, they truly earned that one. Good ol' days of rivalry.
I love Klay but I blame him for saying Lebron's feelings got hurt in a live interview, he woke up the beast 😂 but hopefully warriors will get this 2022 NBA chip

The best NBA Final I've ever witnessed!
A renowned movie director or novel writer could never create something as dramatic and epic as this series.
I remember when GS was up 3-1 I said that Bron just can’t do it. He finally gets a team that can win it and he goes up against the greatest team ever. He goes up against a team that nobody can beat. I remember feeling so bad for him because I knew he was about to be 2-5 in the Finals with no rings for Cleveland. Then... well the rest as they say is history.
Man is goated. Just unbelievable. This is some other level shit, I know it's a team sports but this man was DETERMINED to win this series, one bad play and Cavs would've lost the series. You just don't go 3-0 to close a series against a 73-9 team
