DICE should add the Battle of Bellue Wood. US Marines vs. Germans. Its perfect for apocalypse dlc. the French ordered an artillery bombardment on the forest, making it a fiery and hell-like place. there was so much gas that it condensed on the trees in liquid form, then dripped down and formed "gas puddles". at on point the Marines had to take a hill in the forest, and that resulted on brutal hand to hand fighting. I think this map is perfect for the dlc, because it will look like hell, and brutal fighting
I wish the battle of the Somme would be an operation where you will either have to bayonet charge in to the enemy trenches or either you will have 5 tanks at the beginning of the round (both sides will have 5 or more tanks )
Wolfarse le tankiste also if you listen to one of the Operations intros in TSNP a German soldier talks about hearing Schneider tanks over a ridgeline. I believe it's the Soissons map
Whippet tanks also saw a huge amount of action in 1918. And if we are going prototypes, then there are about six more tanks that could be added, e.g. Fiat 2000, Tsar Tank, etc.
If you go down to Camp Bovington, Southampton (UK) they have a 'Little Willie' tank on show, they recently had a tank festival there and they managed to show off (And drive) the only remaining St Chamoud Tank in the world, I was lucky enough to get some footage of it 🤗🙌😅
Saw the whippit tank the other day in Liberty Aviation Museum in Sandusky, Ohio. I was so fascinated by it and wondered what the name of it was. Thanks Westie!!
Totally unrelated, but Westie, we all know you have DICE's ear (when they choose to listen to you) and I personally think it would be really great if you could ask them to add a magazine cutoff for the Lebel 1886? I've been talking with my platoon mates about it, and we think that while you could make a magazine cutoff for all bolt action rifles by using the button that is usually for select fire, the Lebel benefits the most from single fire capability. The gun would function exactly the same as it does now, the only difference being that at any time, you could push the cutoff and single load it while keeping your magazine full. It isn't a difficult feature to include, but it seems as if they hadn't considered it, and I think the game will benefit from adding this WWI weapon peculiarity. Love your videos, I get most of my Battlefield news from you. Thanks for listening!
I don't think the little willie should be in the game because in reality it is a 3 man tank that goes 2 mph. It has very light armor. Lighter than the light tank. It has no guns either. I think they will add the medium tank mk A. It is also British and it would be more effective in the game.
Oropher420 Well, the Chauchat represented in game is most likely the original, French version. The French Chauchat chambered in 8mm Lebel was a good weapon. The American version chambered in .30-06 was the one that sucked.
You’re wrong. “Little Willie” was never meant to be a combat vehicle. It was only meant to see if the interlocking-plate design they were testing for tracks would be practical. It did not, as far as I know, have weapons, and was built from sheet-metal. I do believe, however, they will add the Whippet models, and possibly even the Flying Elephant.
I don't think that we are ever going to see "Little Willie" in this game because so far Dice has only focused on late war prototype designs not early war designs. Think about the Hellriegel or the Char 2C that you mentioned. Adding the Willie would be a direct downgrade from the Landship and nobody would use it. However I do think that the Whippet tank you mentioned could be a cool addition because it provides a completely new way to play with tanks. It seems to have a 360 degree rotating turret with 4 MGs which is something that we don't have ingame atm so that might be pretty cool.
I feel it could be like a buffed up Armored car, like an APC. Give it smoke screen and repairs to give it an emphasis on getting foot soldiers into an area safely.
Jonathan F I already left this game becoz of premium I was lvl 88 had a good record and had so much fun but the fact is that Dice releases new content only for premium we didn't get any new maps, guns all for premium we only got one free map, a mode with just base maps nothing new (front lines) and well guns which are basically just variants so I decided I'll only continue playing this series from the next game which will have no premium
For me As a premium owner I can say that st.chamond Is the Best tank in the game And I would give it to everyone. (but you must have grind it for example mission to take Down 20 tanks or get 150 kills with a tank) that would be cool
Ive always been interested in history and when I was a kid many years ago read a book called 'Ironclads of Cambrai' about the first big tank battle and the history of the tank in WWI. Good book, I recommend it.
They need a small fast tank that will carry a squad . Idk if this ones fast or not. Just a few machine gun with decent speed to take objectives or drop off your squad and go pick up some more troops and drop them off.
I'd also like to see the Medium Tank Mark A Whippet. A tank fast enough to break through enemy lines. One whippet company of 7 tanks destroyed two German infantry battalions and in another scenario, a Whippet tank named the Musical Box had advanced so far it was cut off and caught behind enemy lines. Nevertheless, for 9 hours they ran amok behind German lines causing all sorts of chaos and destruction
The term 'tank' was actually the codeword for the landship. It was used so the germans would believe it was the movement of water storage tanks instead of armoured vehicles
I say that they should go all out in the apocalypse DLC with all four maps have every country. And in those maps they have a prototype or concept tank or plane that has never had any battle in it. It would be interesting and awesome to combat more vehicles by surprise.
I've been saying this for a while but they need to add the whippet, that tank would have fit perfectly into the game, it was a lighter faster support tank that was meant to act as Calvary to operate with the heavier mk v's or for scouting, the the standard version came with four machine guns, the Russians modified it to have a small 34 mm cannon and there's one instance where one of these little guys singlehandedly took out an entire german battalion and they also saw action much later in the war. I'm telling you, this is the perfect tank to add especially considering that there aren't any like it.
+Westie If Apocalypse DLC will feature even more "this stuff never made it into the war" prototype stuff... What if I told you the prototypes of the Thompson submachine gun could make it into the game (don't get too excited, the prototypes were very different from the iconic 1928 or M1A1 Thompson you know and love). In fact, the first shipment of prototype Thompsons were sitting on the dock ready to be shipped to Europe for trials on November 11, 1918... Which, as you probably know from the date, is why they never made it. Had the war gone on for even a few more weeks, Thompsons might have ended up in the field and being evaluated. (I can provide a source alongside pictures of what the prototypes looked like, but links in RUclips comments tend to get auto-trashed.)
The Whippet Tank is far more likely. The French Schneider could also make an appearance. Would love to see the Thompson Persuader sub machine gun, Ross Rifle, and Farquar Hill Rifle make it in too.
Im personally hoping DICE will add the Medium Mk. A Whippet instead of Little Willie, but besides these two tanks there are actually plenty of opportunities for new tanks seeing that DICE is willing to add vehicles that were never mass produced or saw combat. For a new tank, I would be interested to see what could have been the first tank before the British rhomboids. The design known simply as the Burstyn-Motorgeschütz, with it being named after its designer Günther Burstyn. The tank could be added with similar specifications to the Renault FT-17 we all know and love as our friendly little Light Tank. Due to its small size, a fully revolving turret, a light 47mm Skoda main gun, a crew count of two, and its light armor plating. This design is also known for its unique articulated "arms" that were raised when crossing rough terrain so as to not get stuck, and lowered to allow for the crossing of wide trenches. The Motorgeschütz saw many innovative design choices that would not be seen on tanks again until 1917, and could have superseded British and German tanks were it produced, not only for its design, but also the fact that this idea was thought up in 1911, had it been produced it would have been the first tank in the world. Unfortunately, only one prototype was made and officers and staff were not at all impressed and immediately halted all production. For new behemoths, the Russian Tsar Tank a lot of us by now are aware of, I believe Westie also did a video of it. There is still a chance, but at this point I dont think we will see it as part of In The Name of The Tsar as I had hoped, but perhaps due to its prototype nature DICE will introduce it in Apocalypse. If we do not ever see the Tsar Tank, DICE could also add the Italian FIAT 2000 or the British/American Mk. VIII "Liberty". The FIAT 2000 being the first Italian tank to ever be built, and it is called the heaviest First World War tank though it never saw combat there. Two prototypes, however, did see a very small amount of combat against the Guerrilla forces in Libya, but its sluggish speed of 4km/h was the downfall of its career being unable to keep up with the enemy's fast movement. One of the two prototypes went on to tank trials before the King at the Rome Stadium, and despite its impressive display, no interest returned to the heavy tank and was then abandoned. It could be a behemoth due to its crew count of 10, 6 of which are machine gunner positions, and one which is the main 65mm gun in the large turret on top of the vehicle. Some people have already mentioned the Schneider CA1 which was the French's other tank before the Char Saint-Chamond, and is vastly different, it could also be added as a light tank. As I also said, they could add the British/American Mk. VIII "Liberty" as a behemoth, though I wont take as much time to explain as it is in essence a bigger and more improved version of previous British rhomboids, though it does drop the rhomboid shape. You can find out much more info about all the tanks I have mentioned here, and even more First World War armor designs on the Tank Encyclopedia website. Sorry for writing so much, I hope this could help for some more ideas for what we could possibly see DICE give us later on down the road :)
if they do include Little Willie I think like all other vehicles there should be at least three variations of it. One variation could have the machine guns and maybe be referred to as infantry support or something I don't know. Another version could have maybe a combination of machine guns or autocannons. But I think at least one version should have the front two weapons points on the left and right hand sides Be flamethrowers. I mean seriously can you imagine how terrifying something like that would be? Can you imagine playing on a map like let's say nivelle nights and then all of a sudden seeing this little thing trundling on up towards one of the trench lines and then all of a sudden both of the front weapon points just erupt in fire. I think that would be a really terrifying weapon design. And maybe the back weapons could be gas emitters. Now I know a lot of people don't really like the gas but remember gas was a very very big thing in World War 1.
Hey, I'm having an issue in Battlefield 1 lately. I join a server, and after the game ends it kicks me out of the server. This happens after every game. Anyone else having this kind of an issue? don't know what to do about it.
I think this tank, along with the Whippet would fit in Nicely to the Game. Little Willie itself would have a Vickers 2 Pndr gun along with some Machine guns, which would make it like a light Mk V. I also think Dice would add the Lincoln Number 1 Turret on top of Little Willie as a type of Variant. I would love to see more tanks in the game, and I hope Dice Agrees
They need to add a trench warfare mode, where one person gets chosen as a commander (like the vip on bfh) and he has the power to command other soldiers to attack the enemy trenches, whoever kills everyone wins, no respawn
I hope we get a vehicle map. 5 tanks on each side, 3 planes and some new artillery. Maybe each team has a base with radio tower that needs to be defended to use artillery
I think it would be great to add that tank in. lille wille could focus on suppressing the enemy and killing Infantry but have away to get out of other tank fights easy
I'd like to see them implement the Whippet tank in a DLC as an anti infantry tank I'd hope they'd have a skin for it paying homage to "Musical Box" a famous whippet tank that saw action during the battle of Ameins.
Westie, do you think there will be a update to the US forces? They seem to be rushed out and the uniforms are British uniforms with a few tweaks. I think it would be a nice fix and would make the two factions noticeably different.
I guess they won't do this in bf1 anymore but for ww2 they could implement a tank destroyer like the ones in World of tanks. I think if they do something like this, they should give him special anti-tank ammunition which isn't as effective against infantry and more focused on destroying the enemy tanks. I think he should have less bullet drop and higher bullet velocity. He should also be able to move a bit faster or at least turn faster because he got no turret which the could turn 360 degrees but have to turn the whole tank. I would like this idea very much because we never had something like this and i think that it would be a pretty good addition to the game.
well, seeing as they dont shy from prototypes, perhaps they'll hybrid the original prototype and the finished version. IE the build and design of the final, but give it its turret back?
What about the Whippet being introduced to BF1 instead of little Willie? It would fill a gap between the armored car and the ft-17, especially if it was given an autocannon for example
what about the whippet,ford 3 ton m1918,steam tank,lk I,lk II,Oberschlesien,Holt Gas-Electric,Steam Wheel Tank,Frot-Laffly landship,Vezdekhod, Fiat 2000
What they should add: Mannlicher-Carcano M91 - Italy Ross Rifle - Canada Canadian Army - Country Berthier Rifle - France Berthier Rifle with Chauchat Mag Prototype Winchester WW1 .50 AT Rifle - Elite USA
Justin Clonts I know this is cheap but it works. Place them at their tank spawn. Generally that is a road at their main spawn or road at their back flag. That is when tankers are least expecting mines, and won't be looking out for them.
#BF1needsFord3tonTank!!! I completely agree with the idea of a prototype dlc I myself have somewhat passivly advocated America's first indigenous tank as I've played bf1 with my emblem as seen in #. I think the ford 3 ton tank would have been a great tank to have in the base game. I've obsessively studied this tank over the years spacificly and let me tell you its definitely a much more important tank than people know. Henry Ford didn't invent the car but he introduce mass production to it, the same is true with his tank. He whould have dwarfed any single manufacturer of the famous t34 or the legendary sherman, which his company also helped produce, for a massive d-day-like invasion in 1919. it was also very advanced it was the fastest at 12mph NOT 8MPH as Wikipedia and other online sources claim. It also had the same frontal armor as the romboidal heavy tanks that where 3 or 4 times larger and less than half as fast.... 100 A DAY by 1919 for the great offensive. But the war ended so the production order of 15,000 was cancled, but it did see service as a light artiliery tractor after tests in france for a short while and it was used to gaurd a city block from a linching mob. Please fact check me this is an awsome tank and i would love to see more people interested. If you already are I created the best compilation of general knowledge for this tank i could find on my Pinterest board Ford 3 Ton Tank.
The game needs more standard issue rifles and other weapons that were more widely used. As well as more trench warfare maps and game modes and soldier customization based on the assets already in the game and are confirmed to be coming to the game. The game already has enough prototype and experimental things in it.
I for one think that because they seem to be bringing in new countries in each DLC, that Canada should be brought into the game because of the amount of iconic battles that we were in during the war.
I have a "little Willie"
eeckks dee
lol just about to make that joke
General Kenobi stole my joke
i have a high ground
General Kenobi but the vehicle was a prototype...
They could use the Flying elephant as behemoth. It's a prototype superheavy tank. You should check it out, Westie
They could also use the k wagen as a behemoth, similar to the char 2c
Joao Gomes there should be a way to have the two behemoths go up against each other
3:07 the guy that you were shooting at just killed your teammate with a syringe haha what a savage
I got a Little Willie.
lol just about to make that joke
from your mom's side or dad's side of the family?
Someguy12121 idk
I really hope the Apocalypse DLC focuses on the Somm- BODY ONCE TOLD ME
ThatGuyEli I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
Crimzon Empire she was lookin kind of dumb
im going to stop this before this continues.
Apollo's Knights Oi..do you like Apollo's skyrim campaign ?
Redx Hawk absolute no relation to what we were doing
DICE should add the Battle of Bellue Wood. US Marines vs. Germans. Its perfect for apocalypse dlc. the French ordered an artillery bombardment on the forest, making it a fiery and hell-like place. there was so much gas that it condensed on the trees in liquid form, then dripped down and formed "gas puddles". at on point the Marines had to take a hill in the forest, and that resulted on brutal hand to hand fighting. I think this map is perfect for the dlc, because it will look like hell, and brutal fighting
Belleau* and this would be a fantastic addition, however it would probably be very similar to the Argonne map and Europeans would complain
Jason Decker so Verdun heights with Mericans?
Gibson Neely yeah basically, but america makes it better ;)
I believe this battle was also talked about in Hacksaw Ridge. :)
Veteran Alpha yeah when the father was in court with his uniform!
for the apoc. dlc add the M1915 Howell Automatic (is a smle conversion intro a semi auto rifle)
WHY DONT THEY JUST GIVE US FREE SUPPLY DRO-oops wrong company
Super duper cooper excited!

I wish the battle of the Somme would be an operation where you will either have to bayonet charge in to the enemy trenches or either you will have 5 tanks at the beginning of the round (both sides will have 5 or more tanks )
Alle Mik but there wasn't tanks at the somme in mass
the Schneider tank was a french prototype very similar to this one
Wolfarse le tankiste also if you listen to one of the Operations intros in TSNP a German soldier talks about hearing Schneider tanks over a ridgeline. I believe it's the Soissons map
schneider tanks weren't prototypes. Many of them were produced, and they saw quite a bit of action, being more effective than the chamond

Douglas Hughes eh, close enough 😂 whenever I go down I always Southampton due to seeing friends and the aircraft museum down there
I'd rather see that Whippet over the Little Willie, since the Whippet actually saw combat.
Saw the whippit tank the other day in Liberty Aviation Museum in Sandusky, Ohio. I was so fascinated by it and wondered what the name of it was. Thanks Westie!!
Hello there!
General Kenobi
General Kenobi!
General Kenobi do you have the fight ground ?
Ahhhhhhh, GENERAL KENOBI.....You ARRRE a bold one!
KayosUnleashedxx dammit I was going to say that!!!
Totally unrelated, but Westie, we all know you have DICE's ear (when they choose to listen to you) and I personally think it would be really great if you could ask them to add a magazine cutoff for the Lebel 1886? Like so Westie can see.
Liam Hallisey Dice changes things so they can probably do the same with the tank
Dank Maymays42069 I know they change things but this would be a drastic change making it a completely different tank.
Oropher420 Well, the Chauchat represented in game is most likely the original, French version. The French Chauchat chambered in 8mm Lebel was a good weapon. The American version chambered in .30-06 was the one that sucked.
yes exactly
I'd like a dragon coming to BF1.
ImaStormXd how about a war elephant?
maybe in apocalypse xd
Westie, as a long-time military documentary fan, you should be making documentaries! Quite interesting.
I just can imagine competitive chats with friends and one saying he has a little willie

I hope when (if) this tank comes out in the apocalypse DLC, DICE should make the assault tank available for everyone (including non-premium players).

LowSettyns Battlefield will have premium forever probably so will all other best fps games
For me As a premium owner I can say that st.chamond Is the Best tank in the game And I would give it to everyone. (but you must have grind it for example mission to take Down 20 tanks or get 150 kills with a tank) that would be cool
The assault tank is available for everyone though
Kevin sSOLOo Beasley no It's not, Premium only you big baby
As always thanks for always keeping us posted on the latest and greatest battlefield 1 news!
Westie you got the care package skin for the m1911! Congrats :)
U-MAX I have it too but I have no idea how I got it

For the apocalypse dlc the fiat 2000 would be very fitting: heavy, well armoured, well armed and BIG
Then we should also see the Flying Elephant and the K-Wagen aswell. :)
At the very least the Whippet would be a welcome and interesting addition. To have something that is more of an APC.
What if the apocalypse DLC is alternative history and takes place in the destroyed capitals of major nations involved
Alexander Tsalg It does not. Read description on official BF1 page
Dammit... I can't get past the bit where you first say the tanks name with laughing.
Came down here to see how many 'little willie' jokes there were. 15 minutes in and there's lots.
It'd be really cool to see the Gun Carrier Mark 1 with the 6in 60 pounder gun be added into the game
The Landship had 3 designations: the male with the canons; the female with the machine guns and the hermaphrodite with both of them
if they do include Little Willie I think like all other vehicles there should be at least three variations of it. yes,DICE use the last DLCs for classified/prototype kind of weapons sometimes.
I would love to see more tanks in the game, and I hope Dice Agrees
i do think you are on to something there westie i think dice will listen to your suggestions and will add the "little willie"
That tank won't be the only "Little Willie" on the battlefield
The Kaiser has a little Willie.
Westie I think you are on to something and is a good consept I think that dice will mix the two armor vehicles to create a monster of a weapon.
with the "dumie" turret of the lincon machine 1 and with the tracks and body of little willie
Don't now how to spell "dumie" sorry 😢🔫
Germany: We have weaponry!
Britts: We have little willies!
I would love to see them add the whippet. Give players a cool alternative to the Renault FT-17.
I think it would be great to add that tank in. lille wille could focus on suppressing the enemy and killing Infantry but have away to get out of other tank fights easy
I'd say plausible to be in game but how would it function beyond what current tanks are doing? Looks alot like the St. chamond from french dlc too.
Westie, I have opened over 10 Superior Battlepacks from your revision and I didn't even get that goddamn Legendary Hellriegel Skin once
I got it my first try haha finally had some good luck
I'd like to see them implement the Whippet tank in a DLC as an anti infantry tank I'd hope they'd have a skin for it paying homage to "Musical Box" a famous whippet tank that saw action during the battle of Ameins.
Your revision is lit I got some really good skins I didn't get crap from the jack frags revision
There should be a railway gun like the artillery gun in verdun heights
I think the Whippet looks interesting. Those should be put if Little Wille doesn't make it.
Eyo westie, do you know where lupkow pass is located in real life ?
Africa
Ollithof I dont think so m8
Ollithof Its a russian dlc why should it be located in africa, lol
JackSpediecy 2 somewhere between Russia and Hungary I'm assuming
Bordeaux Nope i just looked it up, it was located in the carpathian mountains in romania
Westie, do you think there will be a update to the US forces? They seem to be rushed out and the uniforms are British uniforms with a few tweaks. I think it would be a nice fix and would make the two factions noticeably different.
why isn't there a tracker for the call for action mission?
This is the best history class I've ever had
I guess they won't do this in bf1 anymore but for ww2 they could implement a tank destroyer like the ones in World of tanks. I think if they do something like this, they should give him special anti-tank ammunition which isn't as effective against infantry and more focused on destroying the enemy tanks. I think he should have less bullet drop and higher bullet velocity. He should also be able to move a bit faster or at least turn faster because he got no turret which the could turn 360 degrees but have to turn the whole tank.
I would like this idea very much because we never had something like this and i think that it would be a pretty good addition to the game.
What about the K-Wagen as the behemoth? I think it would fit the "apocalypse" feeling better than a boxy tractor.
well, seeing as they dont shy from prototypes, perhaps they'll hybrid the original prototype and the finished version. IE the build and design of the final, but give it its turret back?
They should have a game mode in the last dlc, where its melee only. That would be sweet
What about the Whippet being introduced to BF1 instead of little Willie? It would fill a gap between the armored car and the ft-17, especially if it was given an autocannon for example
Hey Westie. Did you know when you end an operation it puts you straight into a new one. Just found out. It's great(on a different map)
what about the whippet,ford 3 ton m1918,steam tank,lk I,lk II,Oberschlesien,Holt Gas-Electric,Steam Wheel Tank,Frot-Laffly landship,Vezdekhod,
Fiat 2000
Were there any amphibious tanks at this time?
'HEY GUYS IVE GOT A LITTLE WILLIE GET IN IT QUICK!'
Can't wait to play this dlc in 10 years
you are onto something! the hellriegel was a prototype.
My little whillie just got bigger
What they should add:
Mannlicher-Carcano M91 - Italy
Ross Rifle - Canada
Canadian Army - Country
Berthier Rifle - France
Berthier Rifle with Chauchat Mag
Prototype Winchester WW1 .50 AT Rifle - Elite USA
What about the German K Wagon
any tips for getting a/t mine kills? hellriegel defensive continues to elude me :(
Sneak up behind a tank sitting still place the AT mines behind the tracks and run in front of them so they go in reverse.
Justin Clonts I know this is cheap but it works. Place them at their tank spawn. Generally that is a road at their main spawn or road at their back flag. That is when tankers are least expecting mines, and won't be looking out for them.
I am i The only One that spotted The CARE Package skin?
Do you know what would be better then a tank that never saw combat? A tank that saw combat, like the “Whippet”
Westie I got the archduke in your Revision!! Wanted it since the start!!
Man I wish that thing wasn't a behemoth( Char 2c) it looks so awesome
with a name like that we need little willie in the game
We need to start a campaign, "Free Willie."
Little Willie. Good name.
Idk, I feel like apocalypse will be more prottpes that are different from what we have already. This feels like it would just be another tank
Cheers Westie, got your battle pack, thanks again.
i hope the emphasize trench defense more in this dlc then gorrilla warfare tactics that most of the community uses in the present game.
The game needs more standard issue rifles and other weapons that were more widely used. As well as more trench warfare maps and game modes and soldier customization based on the assets already in the game and are confirmed to be coming to the game. The game already has enough prototype and experimental things in it.
Westie, you have a little willie.
Hey westie care to explain why I only got a special level weapon skin m8
You ain't crazy. That's a good idea. I hope the battlefield team goes crazy with wondrous weapons n vehicles in Apocalypse :-)
I for one think that because they seem to be bringing in new countries in each DLC, that Canada should be brought into the game because of the amount of iconic battles that we were in during the war.
