Gamez Trickz thanks, I left the ottoman mauser off because its essentially identical to the gew98. Maybe they could add an option to put the ottoman sights on the gew though

(Take time to read please) The Italians NEED their Carcano 1891! The Americans NEED the 1903 infantry variant, or at least add the M1917 Enfield rifle instead because it was more widely used by the American Expeditionary force ( believe it or not, there was an actual shortage of M1903s). Standard issue rifles need to be put in all base game modes because 9/10 servers on the back to basics game mode are empty, and that game mode is pretty much the only time you can use standard issue rifles. Class balance won't be anymore broken because most players are already running around with SMGs and shotguns. Each country should have at least 2 standard issue rifles. Reply if you agree!

why are we getting a new tanker/pilot weapon you almost never get to use them

i thought of a way we can all use the tanker/pilot weapon when you spawn in a tank or plane with someone you become a tanker or pilot as well so when you bail out the tank or plane you can use those weapon
If you drive tanks or fly planes and have to bail, you get to use them

Why not the carcano instead of the vetterli vitali?
the vetterli was used a lot in the first part of the war and in the end they rechambered for the carcano 6.5x52, so it has been used as much as the carcano
But it's not. the. freaking. Carcano. WE HAVE BEEN WANTING THAT FOR AGES! its like dice went "oh they want a Carcano, give em the Verrerli!" then proceeded to laugh at us.
daneil franklin They are both great rifles, the only reason that many wants the carcano is because they have not heard of the vetterli lol. They just assumed the italian army had the carcano from the start of the war to the end.
yeah... maybe they wanted something deferent too. I mean the Carcano is similar to the M.95 (en-block clip) that it does make it slightly unneeded. however with all of the fan requests, Why wouldn't dice put it in. It feels like a slap in the face (to me at least) to put the Vetterli in.
daneil franklin the Carcano is different from the m95, most important is the bullet 6,5x52, one of the smallest bullet but very accurate, it could be a very aggressive recon with a fast reload with the carcano clip system
Wow. Dice can't just add the Carcano. No no they will trick you into thinking they will by saying that the Italian standard issue rifle is coming but, its not the carcano instead it's the crappy one that came before.
ISOV To be fair, it could be an excellent rifle in game, best to wait until we see some gameplay before we're too critical.

The medic one sounds similar to the M1903 experimental sniper rifle, its main fire mode is semi auto due to the device it has attached to it, but when it is removed and K bullets are placed in, it uses a straight pull bolt

Hey, Westie, this is just a new idea for Weapon History: the Gewehr M.95 rifle. As I'm watching you use it, I see when you reload that, no matter how many rounds you discharge, the character model reloads ALL FIVE rounds into the chamber. I don't understand how that works, and I thought it would be a good addition to weapon history.
This made me so happy, I predicted the MGsmg and Perino a bit back and I'm glad to see them in game. Hoping the rest of my predictions come true later on

Hey Westie I really enjoy watching all your content. I wish DICE would include the Mauser Gewehr 88 bolt-action rifle, which was used by German soldiers who were not yet equipped with the Gewehr 98. I'd also like to see them add the Walther Model 4 semi-automatic pistol as an all-kit sidearm. The Model 4 was produced for the German Army in 1915 and it used a detachable box magazine with around eight rounds loaded inside, so it would fit nicely alongside the P08.
Westie, the lack of a stock on that lmg is totally viable. The weight of the weapon means the recoil would be nill

They won't we were promised 20 weapons, if you add those 5, it leaves 5 left for later dlcs, and they have two dlcs left. No one wants 3 weapons in one dlc, and 2 in the last one.
After Story One Dlc will not include weapons based on previous titles...

The unique Italian rifle sounds like it will be a good addition. Gives them a rifle but unique from the others (carcano would probably be similar to m95)
I was expecting the cut down bolties to be in the apocalypse dlc cuz that's where the maps with tunnels he mentioned will probably be and the whole theme of that dlc is makeshift/improvised stuff but... This works too

2 tanker/piolet weapons in one DLC seems like wasted effort. I think the short bolt action might have something to offer as sidearm or assault class weapon.
Westie you do have to realize that you should get exclusive items and maps for paying an extra $40 or else Premium would be worthless
Prmeium players were prmised 20 weapons, adding those 5 weapons in the video leaves premium player 5 weapons left scattered over two dlcs. 4 weapons from the french dlc, 6 from the russian, then you have 10 leftovers for two dlcs later. That's why those 5 weapons was probably never considered behind the paywall

I know lmgs are scarce now but I read about the rossignol machine rifle. Seems that it could fit in with the support class for turning tides
I don't think it's too likely the General (something) rifle will be partially bolt action, because the Mondragon could swap between bolt action and self loading also, and that's just semi in game

I think that it's awesome that DICE listen to the community and makes changes from the advice that is given. But in truth I think it's too little, too late. I think that if the battle packs system and if they had been smarter in the distribution of premium content (such as releasing some content to the whole community) as well as better soldier customization, then Battlefield 1 would be in a far better place right now. Personally I would love the idea of personalized helmets and such, but oh well at least I can't fault DICE for listening, even if it's 9 or so months past the release.

I'm loving the look of the medic addition.
I really think the maximum SMG prototype will be in Battlefield because will because you're holding C&D and you're getting. Trapped by the enemy soldiers you could easily probably hold them down on Lookout Pass

9. Obrez
The general Lee whatever will probably have different variations. Bolt action and semi auto with the same unlocking sort of deal as the French weapons. Maybe one for scout and one for medic perhaps ?

So you feel these additional 5 weapons should be free to everyone except Premium pass members who had to pay for it? (Yes, Premium did pay for it if it is given free to non Premium as Premium members advance will have paid for the development and have paid more for their game than others).
Don't get me wrong, I am not against the notion of them being given free but you seem to scotch over the unfairness to Premium members very regularly!
We can see the way DICE has decided to replace Premium in the new Battlefront by the way we all knew they would.....pure pay to win! You all asked for it now you will get it!

Except, Premium players were prmised a total of 20 guns, don't you think that with TSNP and in the name of the tsar, that they have already added 10+ to premium? They still have two dlcs left which will include the rest of the weapons. The extra five in this dlc was probably never behind the premium wall. 20 weapons were promised for premium. 4 from TSNP and 6 in the russial dlc, that leaves us 10 scattered over two later dlcs.
Now if you're gpoing to reply with, ''they counts within the 20 weapons''. There is no way these 5 weapons will count, for that only leaves 5 weapons left for them to give to premium, and they have as i said earlier 2 dlcs left to give us
After Story at no point was it stated all weapons would not be available to Premium members so your argument is invalid! Regardless it matters little, all the "give everything to me free" merchants and the lower take up of Premium has persuaded DICE to follow the play to win format going forward like I said.

I live the sound of these new weapons except for the 2nd Support weapon. It just sounds similar to the M1909 which I think is only decent. And I was hoping for the Remington Rolling Block in the Scout class, but never the less, this new one sounds interesting

I am hyped for this expansion! A bunch of cool new weapons, 6 maps, a few new vehicles and the horses with lances! I cant wait for this. The support class gun looks pretty good
These look awesome, although I'm disappointed that 2/11 guns are tanker/pilot weapons, because you barely get to use them. I do like the sound of the cut-down rifle though, I just wish it was given to a main class, like Assault or Medic, instead.

Well thatll complete Italian weapons across the classes. All we're missing now is that Springfield 1903 infantry. Hope they add more custom classes slots 3 isnt enough. Setting them all passed on country for country based maps.
I think if they put the better guns in the DLC and the non-russian guns for an assignment (possibly part of the new progression system) that'd be perfect. Also I remember them saying "New assignments" with "the revolution".
The new medic and sniperrifles looks like the current rifles which ones at the game right now. And the new support lmg looks like the attackplane's machinegun. They should put on some particulary weapon to the game, (i think).
Thats why they are adding that fantasy asssault lmg/smg prototype

I wonder if DICE would be willing to give the new Medic rifle the ability to use K-Bullets...if they include the bolt-action feature at all. It could give the medic another anti-vehicle option.
I would say that one of the best things they could improve with this game is suppression.. especially if it's an lmg/stationary machine gun. It would give more power to MGs on the battle field but have the flash from the weapons increased. These weapons were death himself and it would bring more intensity to the games imo
I'm really wondering what will they think of for the next 2, it seems like it will be scrapping the barrel for new weapons at that point

There could be a thing where if you have mosin nagant as a primary and obrez as secondary there could be a chance the when you switch the rifle to pistol you would just saw off the front of the rifle and when you switch back you firetorch the front back on
I'm still suprised DICE haven't taken the low hanging fruit of the annihilator 1. Wouldn't be the first weapon they've added that didn't see combat in the war but was developed during it

This sounds good, but I am cautious. It seems to lack the pattern Dice is so far setting for Tsar. As well, they seem to scattered and unrelated. Some, like the Italian rifle, dont make huge sense. But we shall see!!
I'm personally looking forward to the Mosin-Nagant and that Italian rifle.
A few weapons they could add are the German Kar Az, Belgian Gewehr 89 ,Canadian 303 Ross ,French berthier MLE 1916 ,Indian Kukri, German Gewehr 8805 ,and the American trench knife .

the italian rifle needs a scope variant of some type. we saw what happened wit the martini henry rifle and its lack of scope, people just didnt use it. even with carbine sights this rifle will fall by the way side with out a proper optic.
I personally want to see the Colt Single Action Army and the Trapdoor Springfield to give the game some Old West flavor (though those weapons, to my knowledge, were obsolete by WW1)
The italian rifle is most likely similar to the smle since the mosin nagant is more of a long range weapon in bf1 and i doubt dice will release 2 bolt actions in 1 dlc that have the same stats

Could you imagine that new scout rifle with a super close sweet spot range infantry varient? I'm talking 0-50 meters. That would fit my aggressive scout style perfectly! Or a bolt action medical rifle? My favorite type of weapon in my favorite class. This is potentially very exciting news!
So it looks like we'll be getting a lot more guns in the future. Dice is going Hardline on this game
For me, the new Italian rifle is the other "surprise" with the summer mission, because if we do all the mission, we will have the LVC Arditi, a "italian" cut, so i think it's logic... 🙄
Pilots actually didn't normally carry weapons, but the British flying ace did, but he said he would use it on himself if his plane caught on fire. Also parachuting was seen as cowardly so didn't happen
