  • In today's tutorial, I'll show you how to use the SnapMat feature on the Cricut Design Space mobile app! This feature allows you to take a photo of your cricut mat and drag and drop your designs to the places on the mat you want them cut out. This makes it really easy to use up your small pieces of scrap materials that otherwise might be tricky to measure.

Thank you. After finally getting the app to take the picture yeh! When I did the cut it was off not centered on my card stock. I was trying to cut in side a butterfly cut on the mat. Would love to know what I did wrong. Thanks

Hi! Yeah it takes a long time to line up the camera haha it can be so frustrating! So I can make sure I understand what happened - did you use snapmat to place your cut image, but it didn’t cut in the same place that you positioned it on the app?

Hmm that’s strange! Usually it will cut perfectly where you placed it. Is the cutting mat you’re using the official cricut brand, or is it a third party brand from Amazon or something? I have had a problem with a mat that wasn’t cricut brand because the lines aren’t spaced exactly the same as the official one, so if it was just slightly off that might have caused your problem. Other than that I’m not sure why it would be different than where you place it, unless you repositioned the card stock after taking the photo, or put the mat into the machine upside down.

@@ElizabethSparkles it’s a Cricut mat, I didn’t move any thing, it cut off to the right, top to bottom cut right. I tried to cut two of them both have the same off cuts, I wonder if it’s a calibration issue?

Hmm that’s very weird! I’m sorry that’s happening to you! Does it happen only with the SnapMat feature?
