Really looking forward to hearing how these and the radius compare when you shoot them at fifty metres or so. You're reviews are getting better, and better. Great job.
I have been shooting these arrows for about a year now, very pleased. Only one issue- I am having a heck of a time getting the heads to stay in using the Bohning Blue hot melt, had to use cyano based glue. I would like to use a hot melt and change tip weights if needed. I heat tip, then use hot tip on the glue, smear it up good, insert in a shaft that has been cleaned, bore brushed even for some scuffing, then spin in the tip/move up and down/spin, dip in cold water. At least 25% of tips are lost in first day of shooting- gave it up.
@@pipcountgps1 I have the same problem. After only two training sessions, 3 points remained in the target. Now I intend to put Carbon one points. I don’t know if the problem is in the points or in the arrow.
I have the Avalon Tec One. The G.P.I. of my physical shafts is miles out versus claimed Avalon specs chart. HOWEVER, my Avalon Tec One shafts ALL average to within 0.02 G.P.I. of the Skylon specs chart. The AVALON charts as published are bogus. Since my actual shafts DO MATCH UP with the printed SKYLON charts, I would believe that the Avalon and the Skylon ARE a re-brand.
Bought them in Germany (imported from the netherlands) as a result of your recommendation really like them for the price. the bulge points are just freaking sexy :D
I bought recently skylon brixxon.. i used 120gn points.. with 450 spine.. finished arrow about 385gn.. they flew great.. the grouping also good in 50m.
@@romans.8157 i use pse beast ecs.. ata 37..arrow length around 29.. arrow FOC 11.2% ..51 draw weight with 80% let off.. around 10 lbs on anchor.. have no problem getting 2 inch grouping with this arrow
Some people say these are rebranded Avalon tec one or Classic Arrows, so I bought some 700spine Skylon Radius tried them . In my opinion the Skylon is stiffer shaft as it writes on. May a 700 is a 650 or a 600 spine, and i rod the same in a forum. Please check this with a spine tester if it's for you possible.
The published GPI specifications for the Avalon and Skylon arrows are actually slightly different across the spine range, so it is unlikely that they are exactly the same arrows, which explains the different dynamic spine results that you have observed.

I've shot the sharper points and the more bullet shaped points and I prefer the bullet shaped points. The sharper points are more easily bent, making it hard to get them through the clicker with consistency from arrow to arrow. You can buy the points direct from China more cheaply than buying the same points through the major vendors.
Thanks for useful video. Think I'm going to buy this shafts. Could you also advise on points. Which ones of those present in the video are better and what's the difference between bulge and parallel points.
hi.. i know you not meant the question for me.. i bought the arrow with bulge point.. if you miss or the arrow the butt and point hit something hard.. i will regret using bulge point.. if i were you.. i take skylon radius point.. the bulge point have sharp point.. easy to bend compare to radius..
We have had a couple of comments from coaches regarding the Paragon, when compared to X10 Pro tour they shoot almost identically for a much lower price, ultimately the X10 are tried and tested where the Paragon are still up in the air a bit, but all indications are that they are fantastic value for money. You also don't have to worry about bending your Paragons, unlike the X10 which bend as soon as you breath in their general direction.
Our range is shared with a rugby club and we're restricted to arrows that can be metal detected. Therefore nothing short of an Easton ACG is competitive. Costs me a fortune in arrows.
@@garymickus6412 if we have a "record status" shoot we have to allow full carbon, and clubs that don't share a range with another sport allow them. Most clubs don't have their own land here though, as land is expensive here. My own club is looking to purchase some but it will cost $150,000 for just 150x100 yard field of unused farmland. Then we have to build parking, an indoor range, etc. After that we can use full carbon arrows...
You should do a review on the SAS Feud compound bow. I think you would actually be impressed on how it shoots for a getting back to archery bow!! I've shot one. I compare it to shooting my bowtech guardian I used to own. Actually think it's better than the guardian bowtech used to make
I just received the Skylon Brixxon shaft from China. I'm not sure if it's the original Brixxon or not. But the shaft comes with a plastic tube and a Skylon Archery brand sticker; it looks like an original Skylon. The price is a little higher than the Pandarus Infiniti and a little cheaper than the original Brixxon. Their straightness is 0.001.

Skylon were previously branded as Avalon and their .23 is a very popular indoor arrow in the UK.
