10:00 It's also important to point out that this is among one of the many reasons why a human needs tawheed to operate correctly, a person might take everything from Islam except tawheed but they will find that they will gradually eat away at those beliefs because there is no foundation. We see a practical example of this in how atheism has progressed from claiming that a person does not need religion to be good to over time growing to opposing those good values they claimed were obvious because they no longer make sense without the Christian foundation they were built on (although obviously the Christian aqeeda is extremely deficient but this goes without saying).

@@Adrian-yf1zg not just that he forgot to say insha Allah, but then Allah punishes him with a disabled child for it 😅 Dawah Man keeps cussing scholars who accept possibility of rejecting Khabar Ahaad when that’s basically majority of the Scholars of this Ummah. Even ibn Taymiyyah said it is not sinful for scholars to reject a sahih hadith in the same way the Companions did it, when they hold some evidence against it. This is in his al-Musawwadah. He creates a distinction between rejecting a Hadith whilst believing the Prophet said it and rejecting it whilst believing the Prophet did not say it, even if it is Sahih. He said many companions did the latter when they heard hadith from other Companions so it cannot be called sinful or disbelief.

@J A you need to learn what rejecting hadith is and what definitive conclusive knowledge is.
Da'wah man talks about here, but basically gives his modern salafi dumbed down interpretation for the internet crowd.
Ahad reports have never constituted definitive conclusive evidence. In fact the hadith i mentioned above is an example of a narration with many chains yet still flawed in its preservation.
Read what bayhaqi has to say about Munkar hadith even if their chain is sound.
Selective quoting suyuti is very superficial way to support these salafi ideas today

Yeah and also brain/neuron activity in different areas of the brain when people do maths or creative exercises etc 🧐
I think these verses where ‘aql and heart are mentioned together are talking about emotional intelligence, like in Urdu & English we say “think with your heart” to mean emotional intelligence and honesty 🤔 because the heart is associated with feelings and honesty because when we’re in pain we feel it in our heart and when we lie our heartbeat changes.. plus there is no verse that explicitly says “the intellect is in the heart.” It’s only interpretations.
I think Dawah Man was completely wrong in this one. Some scholars in the past said this too but this is the problem with using the Qur’an for biology loll. The Qur’an is for spiritual lessons.

@k h stop spreading statements based on nothing. stop spreading statements based on nothing. The ancient scholars - including the great scholar Abu Isḥāq ash-Shāṭibiyy¹ - generally cite two ways: 1) physically sitting with the scholars and 2) reading books or listening to online lessons. The first way is the starting point and the second way is seen as an extra aid based on that starting point. This is because of the many advantages that the first method brings, such as the ease of being able to ask questions directly, the code of conduct that you adopt from the scholars etc. Some scholars of this time - including our beloved Shaykh ṢāIiḥ al-Fawzān² - are so strict that they advise postponing the active acquisition of knowledge if one is unable to sit with the scholars.
Another group of scholars - particularly at this present time where 1) knowledge transfer from a distance can easily take place and 2) scholars are not everywhere - bring some more nuance to the matter. Despite the fact that they also recognize that physically sitting should certainly be the starting point for scientists, they also indicate very clearly that - if there is no other way for one reason or another - you a.d.h.v. self-study can also go very far and even become a scholar (ʿālim). In fact, some of them even mention advantages over physically sitting with scientists!
Below are some of the statements made by these scholars on this issue ⤵️
      ▪️ The great scholar ash-Shaykh Muḥammad bin Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn (رَحِمَهُ اللَّه)
"It is possible for those who limit themselves to books and cassette tapes to be among the students of knowledge if they make a good effort, just as it is also possible to even become a scholar if one takes knowledge from books."
      ▪️ The great scholar ash-Shaykh Nāṣirū ad-Dīn al-Albāniyy (رَحِمَهُ اللَّه)
"The statement that knowledge can only be taken by physically sitting with scholars would perhaps be accepted earlier, but at this time" you can acquire knowledge from afar, such as by emailing each other. A real-life example of this - without boasting - is someone who is among you, namely al-Albāniyy: he has not studied with the scholars as they intend. Although I did study under some scholars, I did a (long) period of pure self-study. And this experience must be more frequent, because it is an important means of preventing blind tracking. So their statement is false: you will even see that if someone has a little care and shows commitment to understand the fundamentals of knowledge - even if it happens on the basis of self-study - that one will have knowledge that the blind followers do not have
      ▪️ The great scholar Ash-Shaykh ʿAbdulmuḥsin al-ʿAbbād (حَفِظَهُ اللَّه)
It is up to the one who seeks knowledge to take care of verified books of the scholars such as the books of Shaykh Ibn Bāz, Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn, Shaykh al-Albāniyy; these three scholars and their verified books Allåh has made useful to all. So people can buy it and get it useful. There is nothing against it if one takes knowledge from their cassette tapes; if you are in a country where there are no scholars, you can purchase these kinds of books or cassette tapes and you should also maintain telephone contact (!) with them or with the person with whom it is possible.
In conclusion, one might ask: if it is not a necessary condition to have physically sat with the scholars for a long time or to have official diplomas to be or become a student of knowledge, how can one then distinguish from whom is becoming?
You could write entire books or conduct a series of lessons about this, but to be brief, a similar question has been asked of none other than the noble and beloved great scholar Ash-Shaykh ʿAbdulmuḥsin al-ʿAbbād - only this question was more about you does not require specific approval from scholars. He - may Allåh keep him for us - replied:
If a person is unknown, his case is left open. On the other hand, if he is known and people know him for his useful contribution to knowledge - whether he has studied, attended formal studies, and has qualifications or not - then he may be known. Namely, a person can acquire this knowledge through constant effort and self-study; it is not required to have an official diploma or graduate from a particular faculty or to sit with a teacher for a long period of time.So anyone who has some knowledge and has mastered it - even if it is just one useful tidbit from a scholar - he should convey it to others.
Final conclusion: physically sitting with the scholars for a long time - if possible - is a beautiful label of knowledge that should be maintained, but sitting in itself says nothing about the student's level of knowledge and thus should not be seen as a barrier to actively gathering knowledge and then sharing it.
May Allåh ﷻ make us all sincere and lead us to what He loves and is pleased with.
