Imagine the most kindest, most caring person you have ever met or could ever think of. If you know someone like that, think of how much you love that person and how kind and caring and merciful they are. Now try to truly grasp that Allah is the MOST MERCIFUL. You can NOT come CLOSE to even understanding the mercy Allah swt has yet you’re thinking of the punishment Allah will give to certain people. That speaks to your perspective on things and is a fault of your own, not Allah’s.

Eternal torment in hellfire is in my opinion an unfair punishment. I don't know what Allah really wants to do. Perhaps time passes differently in afterlife, and the concept of eternal hell is fair there, but to us on this world, that concept is unfair and that's one more test for us to endure on Dunya. Just my thoughts.
