Hi pat, i have the aab400.4 how did you set your gains on the amplifier? With or without the speakercables connected... I tryed to set mine with a oscilloscope (no speakers connected) and after 2min it started to smoke a little bit and get hot.. just wanted to know i messed up by not connecting the speakers while setting the gain
@@bobbertomster oscope without speaker wires hooked up. Start low and work my way up to a comfortable level with a clean test tone. Always start with setting your input signal first

How’s that mfa 4.220 amp ? Any static floor noise idling ? Any interference I should be aware about ? Would you have gotten the jp84 instead of the 4 channel you chose ?
I’m very pleased with the amp. I do have some slight noise when volume is zero but had it before these amps too so I think it’s my head unit. Sound is clear. I’d choose them again
If I'm not using a dsp would that 2.80 still be ok to run a pair or two of tweeters? A little confused on that low pass filter on those amps. I mean if I set the high pass to let's say 4k, then it plays 4k & up but would you have to set the lpf as well. It says in the manuals the filters can run simultaneous, or just leave that one all the way down?

They dropped a lot of their tweeters for some reason including these, they're no longer on the site.

Very noisy, annoying buzzing sounds, impossible listen to low volumes since the noise is louder than the music itself. Returned it.

Just flip the switch to hpf and set it to the lowest frequency you want your tweeters to see and should be good.
