Epson currently has a desktop “out of the box” sublimation printer, it’s the Surecolor F170
That is not a wide format printer. It only print 8.5 in wide.

My hubby bought me an epson workforce wf 4820. Can I turn this to a sublimation printer? I'm seeing some places say yes and they have the ink but then I'm seeing some say no.

What about epson Ecotank et-5170 ? Can be converted?
Epson 7820 you can no longer buy offbrand chips that will work. Refilling ink cartridges is a pain. Syringes don't work very well
I use 3rd party chips in mine. And with our 20ml and 30 ml syringes refilling is a breeze. Are you sure you are filling the correct hole.
@@HonestlySpINKing In my cartridges for a Epson 7820 the hole makes no difference I'm surprise u don't know that considering ur a "expert". The syringes work fine the first and second time but after that it is a pain trying to retract ink from the bottles bc the syringes are so weak.
@@daffyduck8244 there is a front fill hole. A middle hole and the back vent hole. You should be filling the front hole. The rear hole you can not put your needle all the way in. I use my syringes and needles over and over and over. You must be using the thin needle and 10ml syringes. Ours are 20ml and 30 ml with 20 guage needle so the whole is wider and easier to draw the ink. We have them at shop.hsink365.com.
I am a expert your comment implied there was an issue with filling the acuat cartridge but based on this comment yiur issue is getting it out of the refill bottle. Which can easily be rectified with better syringes and needles. I have 4 WF printers and never have filling issues.

I have the Epson 4105 printer. I receive my new cartilages with the the sublimation ink with the chip. My printer is not recognizing it . what am I doing wrong .I decided to put the ink that came with the printer back in and its recognizing it .

I personally love and prefer Workforce Printers. With the new ones you have to buy replacement chips

Hello, thank you for watching. Any Epson printer can be converted. You just have to find a seller of the. Compatible refillable cartridges.

I’m looking at the exact same thing I’m pretty sure it can but like you don’t want to pull the trigger and be upset if it doesn’t. Also don’t want to spend $250 more for the T3170 if the T2 works. So if you find out please let me know

Hi Kellie. It depends on which printer you get. The current wide format printers use the 812 cartridges we sell them on our site. You have to replace the chips on them once the 🖨 say cartridge not recongnized

@@fernetteshelton9289 any Epson printer can be used as long has it has available cartridges with the correct chips. If no Chios are available you have to buy Epson cartridges to take the chips off
