Hey Dr Frank! Your advice:
A. No negotiations with cravings
B. Dismantle all perceived benefits
really helped. I'm on day 15 of Zero nicotine.
First couple of hours quitting nicotine, wish me luck peeps
This channel has been huge for me quitting. I quit a year ago but slipped up and found myself back here again. But I've learned something since the last time. I am not a slave to nicotine! Here we go, baby, second times a charm! Thank you Dr. Frank ❤
i stopped over a month ago (34 days ) and the cravings have been harsh in the last couple days, so my question is, how were the cravings for you after a year of quitting ?
@RISETWICE honestly after a year the craving were about the same as they were in the beginning. But I also put myself into positions that would make me want to smoke like drinking or going to a party. That's what eventually made me cave in was drinking at a birthday party and someone had a vape and I thought I'd be okay just hitting it once. I've learned the cravings never fully go away unfortunately
Your channel really helped me while quitting 158 days ago now. I checked my app to get that number I stopped counting a long time ago. The reason I saw your channel was I typed in a song that had the word nicotine in it and RUclips recommended your videos again, I figured it's a sign to come back and say thank you. I don't think about nicotine, and I smoked for 9 years before quitting. Your videos were a huge help! Thank you
Approaching 12 days of my tobacco quit. Your work has played a part in helping me stop. Thank you Dr Frank.❤
@@jdelaney4158 Thanks, yes, I'd say it was. Some memories of smoking vaguely fade in and out occasionally but I'm quick to dismiss them. The cravings have gone.
I don't want to die of smoking related diseases. That was enough.
been using carts for the last few years and finally decided to quit. been binging your content, thank you for helping others with your experiences
Same been using carts and nic on and off since 2023. I’m almost 18 now I’m hearing about this stuff rewiring your brain, I’m trying to go to college. I can’t be slow.😂 and I’m thinking about long-term.
@@Mptappin12 hope you're able to conquer your addictions. I know you're dealing with two addictions instead of one which is harder. I would recommend you try to get off them now before it becomes severely habitual in daily life. I'm glad you're already thinking of quitting as you're younger
I was an alcoholic for 10 years. Last few years, my disease became life threatening. Since November of last year I haven’t drank alcohol. One year sober and then some. Now I’m quitting smoking marijuana. That was very difficult, but your videos explained my withdrawal symptoms. I have no desire to smoke anymore, addiction was pain, and I wasn’t happy. For the first time in my life I will be truly sober! I even went back to the stuff (weed) but nah, I don’t want to smoke weed anymore, it’s like eww man I don’t know why I smoked like I did.

@@jdelaney4158 thank you and thanks to everyone else for your support
Well done 🎉 I'm rooting for you. I'm sober 8 years, now on a path to quit vaping
@ thank you ❤️ you can do it!
Its day 9 being sober..... feeling happy🎉🎉🎉
hey y’all. i’m really struggling rn with the withdrawals. i’m only on day 2 and i feel like i can’t function. my anxiety is through the roof. to the point where i feel like im having a panic attack through the entire day. i can’t sleep, it’s currently 4:18 am for me. i know i need to quit tho. not just for the people around me but for myself more than anything. i hate using so much. i had a year clean before this and i just threw it all away. this really is a disease that doesn’t mess around. love y’all.
Stay strong dude, I'm just starting my journey today and I'm definitely feeling it. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one at this current moment trying to quit
Last puff was New Year’s Eve. Who’s with me?
There ya go!! 6 days in 👍💪
I wish but I could never
Me too!🤙
Mine was about 1 am on 27th December.
Yes! Took one last drag and then drowned my vape in water on new years eve! This is my second time quitting nicotine and I don't think I will ever go back. Here's to sobriety 🎉
Was smoking like 24/7 for 7 or 8years straight. Only smoked and drank, no other drugs or cigarettes. That occasional blunt wraps.
From 2004 to 2011 or 2012. So was either started 14 or 15 and stopped 21 or 22. Where I lived didn’t have medical weed. So it was either average stuff or hydroponic so good stuff if you knew a source. There was no dabs or vapes in my time.
I haven’t smoked since. You’ll think like how I’m going to function daily tasks while high. You’re going to have friends and friends of friends or strangers who will ask you to smoke. If you really want to stop, you’ll gotta know how to say no. If you gotta friends who still pressure you or mock you like I’ll be back to smoking aren’t Your Friends. Gotta cut them off.
If you got friends who know you’re done smoking either for good or for a long but never pressure you into smoking or mock you or smoke around you, Then you got good stoner friends .
I still talk to my few best friends stoners and talk about good times we had fun.
got my wisdom teeth out 20th of dec and managed to quit weed since at 21 been smoking since i was 12 247 now its time to quit vaping too
Just wanted to let you know that your doing gods work🙌
Gods work was done on the cross.
thanks for the kind words 🙏
Bro I’m for real going to be quitting successfully because of your channel
Been watching for a few months. Finally quit all nicotine 16 days ago now. I still feel the urge every now and then but I’ve been chewing gum and trying to ignore the urges
I sent this to my buddy he smokein’ like a chimney 😂
@ you can do it
Lol I relapsed again. Stress makes me do it. Work stress especially. Whilst I know I can quit vaping but when the stress becomes so severe and you know that vaping will help you get through that moment then it's so difficult.
90 day vape/smoke free 😃💪
I am on day 6 today. I have really been struggling this go around. I quit smoking a few years and was nicotine free for about 6 months and got back to it after hanging around smokers and drinking with them. I switched to a vape this go around and I have to say quitting this vape has been so much harder than quitting cigarettes. I went and bought a pack a smokes and have been using them to try and help me through the start of this process. Basically going until I absolutely can’t take it anymore between. My wife did the math on my vaping somehow and said that I was basically smoking 3 packs a day. I have been able to get by with 2 cigarettes a day just to get me through because I feel like the level at which I was using nicotine may be higher than the vast majority. My concern is that I’m just dragging out the process though and I’m beginning to wonder if my brain will ever function normally again. I’m trying to get through it but this has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done and I can’t stand the way I feel or the fact that my brain is just not functioning whatsoever.
I agree vaping is harder to quit than cigs not sure why
Vaping got me off of cigarettes. Patches got me off of vaping. Cold turkey after the 7mg patches was significantly less difficult.
Me personally, exercise and getting out in nature helps me the most with staying sober
Thx doc great video ⚡️, today I am 2 years 4 months clean from cigs , 5 months 14 days clean from weed and tried alcohol only 4 times total , pornography is the next addiction I am tackling currently 6 days clean
That’s huge!! Big props on that progress.
Hey everyone I just quietly vaping 72 hours ago at 9pm LA time. I am currently suffering with headaches, dizziness, nausea, anxiety and an over worry of impending doom. I have been sleeping a lot and my eyes have also been very sensitive to light. Especially driving around I have been very nauseas due to km guessing motion sickness but I can’t confirm. I’ve also had syncope episodes multiple times last month as I’ve lessened my nicotine levels. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms and can some reassure me that I’m not actually dying but that these symptoms match with actually statics on withdrawals from vaping?
Suffering from hyperemesis from chs :( this channel has helped me have hope but I feel shit after 4 days clean
That was great ty
smoked 2 packs a day. 10 day smoke free. Used lozenges 4 mg for 5 days, now switched to gums (4 mg). wish me good luck (9v battery tingle in mouth all time lol )
I've been a nicotine addict for 14 years. 12 years on dip, and the last 2 on the vape. Today is the last day I'll use nicotine! Wish me luck! 01/16/2025
How’s it going?
I highly recommend a wim hof style breathing practice for stress
a friend of mine gave the best advice when she said 'just don't go into the vape shop'
I second this! 😎
Had my last one 9/1 at 22:15. It should be the last day feeling empty and not enjoying all the things I used to, even training and videogames. It mostly hit me emotionally, crying and being angry for these cravings moments. I feel I am really lost, realizing another cig wont help but missing the act of smoking so much. Not having any symptoms from smoking or quitting i think is making it harder, at least it could be a wake up call. Any tips?
I’m a teen I don’t want to do permanent damage to my brain I have brain fog moderately. And occasionally experienced short-term memory loss, unless I go a few weeks. I’ve been looking at studies and I’ve decided I’m done, I need to improve my life
What do you mean by "your doctor"? Who has a specific doctor just for them?
Would some of those supplements work the same for someone quitting edibles ?
100% 😎
From my quit smoking person it doesn't matter how much you use nrt that is gum or lozenge as long as your not using cigarettes vapes or pouches or chew lol
When some people tried cigarettes and didn't like it that miight not be the same if they had tried a different brand or with vaping
If they start smoking at 12 dose that put the ex smoker at a bit more of a higher risk of getting a smoking related illness then if they had started smoking at 14 or 16 ?
Because some nun smokers or people who didn't become a smoker said they have still tried cigarettes. It could be normal for some people to want to try vaping and wonder what it is like even if they don't smoke
Yes this happened to lots of people who vape Ben! You are 100% right
@@AddictionMindset Because it's nicer maybe people are more likely to become a vaper then a smoker if they try it
It happened to me. Went my whole life up until about 30 years old never once trying a cigarette. Not even a single puff. Now here I am couple years later addicted to vaping.. like wtf 😤😤😤
@@amandajane22 Have you still never tried a cigarette ?
For the algorithm
Struggling with an addiction now, I want to quit and be healthy but my animal brain keeps desiring it. I will quit soon. Hopefully 🙏
Because there's more difference with the vapes the affects in the long run could depend on what they vape but with cigarettes it will probably be the same whatever they smoke
I quit nicotine
Same I feel slow and low iq doing it
@@Mptappin12 my 2nd week was worse than my 1st keep pushing
how are u now ?@@MorphedWombat
@@dwikiari8526 good I don’t crave at all
I don't understand why they don't have a 4 in one cola vape with all different cola flavurs. Like cola Cherry cola Vanila and Cola Lime and just Cola. Where I live the 4 in one Cola vapes are all just cola Lime I don't get that
That sounds like a wild flavor 😂
"Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established." Proverbs 4:26 KJV
