    No, I found out and it’s only 5.8 qts. Looking into a lot of posible options. It will take time, as the boat will need a lot of TLC and $$$$ to get it back to navigating conditions.
    It’s been sitting for two years untouched. The boat is in Miami and I’m having it towed down to first take off the existing motor and have it ready for a new rigging. I lot needs to go in before we have an existing operational boat, but we will get there, just like you did. 👍
    Keep on posting those very educational videos, you’ve both done a great job.

    • @perfectfitboating

      Thanks Nick! The upper most plug is supposedly a vent plug or a plug for filling if you don’t have a pump. Hope that helps! 🌊🤙🛥️

    Do I need to warm up my engine before draining the oil or can I do it on a cold engine?

    • @perfectfitboating
      @perfectfitboating  8 месяцев назад +1

      No, that’s not necessary. You also don’t want to burn yourself with hot oil so doing it cold is just fine! 🤙

    Have you had good experience with Suzuki engines dependability etc!

    • @perfectfitboating
      @perfectfitboating  4 месяца назад +1

      Absolutely. It’s never let us down. Fuel usage is incredible. It’s not a speed demon like a merc for example. But it’s also not as expensive as one or even a Yamaha.
      Here are some numbers:
      Cruise speed: 4,100-4,200 rpm’s 29-30 mph. If it’s flat calm it’ll hit 30mph at 4,000 rpm
      Max speed 47mph
      Fully loaded with fuel, gear and food we averaged 3mpg on a 220 mile trip to the keys.
      We’re very happy to say the least! 🤙

    When refilling the gear lube lower unit oil, spin the prop several times after the oil seeps out of the hole. Then continue filling (several more pumps) until it seeps out again. THAT'S when you know there's enough oil in the lower unit..

      They are rack them and Stack them indoor boat facility on the water. Also imagine the people that don’t have a choice. They have to use them for service.
