So how are you all feeling about the OnePlus12R? Let me know! Thanks for watching! Dont forget to like and subscribe👍
Audio quality was solid and the cameras are more than serviceable. Far better option At the price point than a Galaxy A54, S23 FE or the Pixel 7A IMO.
Exactly, midrange killer.
You may as well get the Moto edge plus 2023, you can find this last year's phone with 3 very good rear cameras, and a 60mp front facing camera that can shoot video at 4k 60, wireless charging, 512gib of storage, 67 watts fast charging, Android 14, for around $599 or even less and without that huge camera bump, plus you have esim support as well as support HDMI monitors with ready for and Moto connect just in case you want to use it as an on the go computer setup.
That's still a $200 difference
When you go to multi app screen, can you restart the app by clicking app info in the multi window? Or do you have to close the app and re open?
Interesting, I just had this discussion the other day. From my perspective, the OnePlus 12 is a true flagship and really should not be considered a flagship killer. Conversely, the OnePlus 12R better fits the definition of a flagship killer and should be regarded as such. Strangely enough, there seems to be quite a debate on the literal definition of flagship killer.
Some people define a flagship killer as a flagship level device that simply comes at a lower price. However, that really isn't sustainable considering the cost of development. After all, manufacturers have to make a profit. On the other hand, my understanding of a flagship killer has always been a device that concentrates on power, speed and overall performance. This also means pairing away ancillary features such as wireless charging, powershare, flagship level cameras, quad HD display and utilizing slightly lower spec or older build materials. Thus, the very capable 1 + 12R.
Personally, I feel 1 + has moved to this strategy as a means to buffer their way into the flagship market. A few years ago, they attempted to do this with the 9 and 10 series. However, they did not offer a cheaper alternative and people didn't want to pay the higher prices for the pro level phones. In fact, for the money they were asking people could have purchased a Samsung or Google device of equal specifications. To that end, the hardcore 1 + fans felt a little betrayed and wondered what happened to their flagship killers. Utilizing this strategy, 1 + should be able to do both.
Ive been watching videos like this and im currently sold on the oneplus12r. Currently on a low end galaxy and the camera quality is better than my a14 5g. I saw you clean and clear in the front facing video and heard you just fine so the camera quality is better than my phone here. I spend alot of time in a game in my free time (retired all i have is free time 😂) so im hoping it handles it better than this phone as this one kicks me out every 5 to 10 mins. I do also enjoy streaming on max and starz but im sure that wont be an issue.
I'm sure this phone will hold up just fine for you 👍
Great vid as always thanks bro
Thanks!
JUST LETTING YOU ALL KNOW ITS 3-20-24 AND THEY ADDED THE ONE PLUS EAR BUDS FOR FREE just thought let people know.so now with any trade in it's $100 off and includes the ear buds for $399
Excellent deal!!
I recently purchased a OnePlus 12 r and is anybody having the same issue as my phone where the hey Google voice detection isn't working?
If you could add time stamps, it would be really helpful. It's a great video already and timestamps would be just amazing.
Definitely. Thanks for the reminder
Though it priced low , many will prefer to spend some extra bucks and get a decent cam phone.
Mic is great. But man the few things that let this phone down are wireless charging, not having IP67 or 68 rating, and then video stabilization/quality/lack of telescopic lense
Gotta agree you ain't killing no flagships if you leave out flagship features like wireless charging and full ip rating, don't get me wrong ir blaster is cool, I rather would've preferred a full ip rating, I can't even trip you get the fast charging brick in the box you charged up in 20-30 minutes so I can deal with that flaw
@@allenblaine2793 Yup on the other hand though you get a brick, cable, and screen protector with the phone. No flagships even offer that. It's also an 80 or 100 watt brick/cable which not exactly cheap to buy aftermarket. Personally I hate wireless charging. It is slow, heats the phone, and generally degrades the battery quicker so i would not miss it. But plenty of other people might. The IP rating on the other hand is huge miss. I would like the safety of knowing my phone can be dropped in a pond and to not worry about it. IP67 rating would have been so nice. It is annoying the Oneplus 12 doesn't get an IP 67/68 rating either. Only miss I could find with that phone.
25 years and never dropped a phone in water. Also never got on qi charging. Too slow. Cord is better. Cord for 20 minutes or qi for 2 hours?
@@Oldasianguy I own one now. I like to use my phone in the shower for music and I would like to go swimming with it too but I can't lol. Not a big deal but its just annoying.
@@ayushmalpeddi2793 you can't go 5 minutes in the shower without your phone? I think there's a bigger problem at hand, lol
Dope video bro! Looks like a beast for the price!
Thanks man!
So the chrome and Google lag all over the reddit and oneplus forums aren't true or just exaggerated?
I never experienced that with my device so I'm not sure
I don't know I got my OnePlus 12 trading in my OnePlus 9 pro with a coupon and a military discount I got it for 6:29 and that's the 512 gigabyte
You're going to love it. I've been using my 12 for nearly a month now and it's amazing. I purchased it and silky black with the 16 gigabytes of RAM and 512 gigabytes of storage.
Is there any 2x portrait zoom
Yes but it is a digital zoom not optical
Sony IMX 890 is a decent camera, it's been there for a while, manufacturers "master" it. Watching from OnePlus 12
Brother 4:23 wallpaper link?
Got it from an app called wallpix 👍

Having a hard time deciding between 12 or 12r
Check out my comparison video here👍

It's 2024 and it still can't shoot 4k videos in front cam..how on earth people considering it?? Ridiculous
Not many people take that many selfies
?
Could not care less about recording 4k video and most people shouldn't either. If you put it anywhere online it'll get so compressed to the point it doesn't matter. If it's just for you it takes up too much storage only to look marginally better than 2k
pixel 8a coming soon... no trade in required wireless charging and more updates
I'm very much looking forward to the Pixel 8a👍
8a costs the same amount 😂. 8a is a loser.
Actually, it should be "Midrange Killer" because it is between midrange and flagship, not better than a flagshiip.
I mean to call it a flagship killer, it would have to be better than the OP 12.
That's not what flagship killer means, oneplus was built off of bot as good as flagships, but much cheaper. This is by all means a flagship killer. A midrange killer would cost less than a midrange.
🙌🙌🙌🙌
Absolutely worth the price
Agreed
$500 for a budget phone is a lot you can get a Samsung for much less money
Thing is, this is not a budget phone.
Which new Samsung has a flagship processor for 500?........ Exactly. None.
Sorry, need better cameras on a smart phone now a days.
For the price, these will do just fine
To post a compressed photo on social media?
I don't trust this man and his sneaky chuckles
this is just a commercial
