I have a 2015 ATS Coupe and thanks the the proximity function, I never have to take the fob out of my pocket. The hidden key function to expose the lock was helpful as was knowing that the dead fob would still allow the car to start when in its cradle. Great video!
you don't even need to do that to expose the key hole. Just lift the door handle and slide the cover towards the handle (the silver part). If you pry the whole cover and look inside, you can see the silver bit as something that can slide.
Great info, on the seats my 2018HD Denali if you have both seat functions activated, the climate control tells whether to heat or cool according to outside temp.
I agree with another viewer, you have provided info that the manual or sales-person didn't such as the camer feature on the rear-view mirror

I just changed out my Fob dead battery. Now I'm bummed that I did not get a chance to try out the hidden key and inner console Fob start option. But still good to know. Thanks

I never thought it would be this easy to swap the battery. My 2020 XT4 just started to give me the battery warning so I appreciate this video immensely and when I get my battery on Friday the quick steps here will mean I can swap the battery out in a minute or so.

Thanks Bear. Very useful and understandable. I have a 2016 XTS and was wondering how to increase the number of times that you can restart it. If ya start it like you did, ya get 20 minutes total. I’ve known this since I got the car that if I remote start it, I get 10 minutes of run time. Then I only get 1 more remote start of 10 minutes. (Sort of the same thing, 10 + 10 = 20 minutes run time total). Is there anything you can change to remove the amount of times that you can remote start it, ya know? So I can remote start it Twice and if I have to, start it a 3rd and 4th time. I have some cold Winter Days that I’d like to be able to do that. Thanks for your time!!
From my understanding it can only be restarted twice. The only way to get around this would be to install an aftermarket remote starter. I think this is something that Cadillac should change as owners living in colder climates really need more time to warm up in real cold environments.

You can also close the tailgate by just swinging your feet under where the hitch is located 🙂 (and you also open the tailgate the same way if you happen to have your hads bussy carrying groceries or whatever

Hey great video. What year is this escalade? I have a 2017 escalade sport and I cogent find the dead key hole under the cap. There was no hole under it for the dead key. Any other place that it could be that you know of?

Hi I also have a 2017. It’s in the same location however it isn’t the entire block. Instead, we have the silver trim that slides inwards. You have to pull on the driver handle, then push/slide the silver trim piece towards the handle. Then it just “pops” off

Should be able to close the windows remotely…just got an Escalade and I opened all the windows while playing and had to run downstairs to put them up…but good to know it’s not a feature I couldn’t figure out
How is your key not destroyed yet? ive got a 2018 and the rubber parts of the key are peeling off. the Front buttons and the whole back of the FOB. :(
The hidden compartment is also a wireless phone charger.

Yes. At least the 2015 does.
When you click to lock twice is when the alarm gets set. Hit it once and it only locks the door.

Damn on my Lincoln I could roll up the windows using the key fob.

The fact that you can drive off without the FOB is a serious over site by Cadillac , there should be a warning. They would be smart to offer an fix to their system.
