I wished more reviewers mentioned the 60Liter Gas tank in relation to the 1100km range. Another article online claimed their car went to 1600 kms but they fully used their fuel and it calculated to about 26.xx km/l in reality its probably 23 24 because of the battery charge to begin with. Yes it's very efficient but I hope it would be more clearly explained to the public.
BYD's DM-i technology primarily drives the wheels through four modes: * Pure Electric Mode: * The battery directly powers the wheels without the need for a gasoline engine. * Suitable for short commutes or low-speed city driving, offering the lowest energy consumption. * Pure Electric Sport Mode: * Similar to pure electric mode, but with a higher electric motor output for stronger acceleration. * Suitable for scenarios that require quick starts or overtaking. * Hybrid Economy Mode: * At low speeds, it operates in pure electric mode. At high speeds, the gasoline engine kicks in to generate electricity and charge the battery simultaneously. * Balances power and fuel efficiency, suitable for various driving conditions. * Hybrid Sport Mode: * The gasoline engine and electric motor output maximum power simultaneously, providing strong power. * Suitable for scenarios that require continuous high-performance output.
Plus biggger and way better nvh. They don’t have the same hybrid system. Ito electric motor mainly nagpapatakbo, sa yx cross engine ang main gamit.
1100 range divide 60L tank equals more than 18kmpl. But thats just their take and remains to be seen on actual Auto Full tank test and not dashboard/computer figures test.
@@geraldreyes7835 BYD tested the Sealion 6 along with the AAP and they verified that it was able to do 1,608 km from a full charge and a full tank of gas. It roughly computes to about 24 to 26km/l, which is not bad
Walang ma comment or sagot ang mga Toyota Bashers dito oh. Eh paano dapat may kasamang isang box ng Biogesic ang sasakyan nato kapag bibilhin mo, Extremely poor after-sales customer service from All China-made car dealers eh😂
Is thete a confusion between a EREV and PHEV.? I know this is a PHEV, and should not call this a range extender ciz it is a totally different powertrain.. well i know the engine can act as a generator but should not call this a range extender coz that is different as i understand.. or is there something i do not know?
The host literally answers your question. It's PHEV by all intents and purposes but isn't called as such for "specific governmental reasons." Likely benefiting from a tax break on EVs
Toyota's new approach can be summed up as "if you can't beat them, join them." The all-new 2026 Toyota Corolla will be equipped with BYD's cutting-edge hybrid technology.

That was the 5th gen hybrid system car if I remner correct.
@@bno5357 The 4th generation DM-i is for global markets, but China exclusively features the advanced 5th generation.
This car uses 60 liters and 95 octane gasoline.

good video
Does this use the engine to drive the wheels or does it only turn on for charging?
Woooh... This car stole my interest in the yaris cross 😲
So good that Toyota themselves are going to use BYD hybrids in their future hybrid makes.

May Option ka na pwede gamitin ang Battery Electric pure... so no need gamitin ang Engine.
Hi. Nangangailangan pa ba ito ng 12v battery para sa ICE? Thanks for the answer.
yes po

@@lolmonkie Yeah I've seen that article. That is definitely not bad and I can say one of the best Fuel mileage in that size (midsize SUV) segment.
This IS NOT the 2025 sealion 6!
It's the 2024 version.
The 2025 sealion 6 drives 1,500 km vs the 2024 drives 1,000 km.
