Thick & Gooey Caramel Filling for Cakes and More

This salty caramel filling has simple ingredients, (no corn syrup) and is thick enough to fill cakes and cupcakes. Flour gives it just the right consistency to be soft and gooey but still hold up between cake layers. It's also totally amazing in thumbprint cookies sandwich cookies, pies and crepes. Gluten-free option is included.
