- This is my second video about my concrete mix, here you can see how i'm preparing it before making my vessel and how do i do.
Mesure in the video (for the powder):
1000gr white plaster.
500gr white cement
500gr building sand
(You can make as much as you want)
I use casting plaster ( mixture 1-2 mn, casting 3-4 mn, stripping time 15 mn)
Mesure for the mold:
230gr concrete mix.
115gr water. (Half the powder)

hello, than you for the video, I have a question what happens if you only use cement and sand for the candel, and not plaster, what would happen?
It will take more time to dry maybe 24h or more, be patient ;)

It's just a plastic lid from a glass jar that she is using for her mold, you can replace it with any lid that fits with your mold.

I've tried to make things using white cement only and they break even after letting them sit for three days in the mold. Is the formulation you're using easy to break?

You're welcome, Yes i always clean my mold before using it with a wet tissue ^^
I am following the exact same recipe and leaving it to dry for 24 hours, but every time they break while demoulding. can you please guide what's wrong with my method?
Same here. I had a discussion with her on the topic. I think the missing link is the plaster that we are using. I used plaster of paris.
She lives in Algeria and she is using plaster of a local brand. I asked her if she could tell me the name of the brand which she did but the company is making plasters of different types which come in different color packaging. i asked her which color bag she uses. Still awaiting her reply on that. If i get to know that I can check which type of plaster it is

No, when you are working with plaster you just have to realize that it sets up fast, if you use more water, you could compromise the structural integrity of your vessel. Try this, it seems to work for me. 190 Grams Plaster Of Paris, 95 Grams Cement, 95 Grams Sand, 190 Grams of Water NOTE: Humidity can play a role too, you may need to adjust your water, I just usually pour it in and stir and see, then add accordingly.

I made exact same mix. It was drying so fast that i didn't even had time to pour it in the mold. Then I added water, now it doesn't dry at all... I don't understand what is the problem

@@emanidiy if you add a teaspoon of lemon juice or white vinegar it will act as a retardant to the plaster without compromising it's strenght

Bonjour, merci pour cette vidéo update. J'ai essayée ce matin de suivre votre préparation en prenant exemple sur votre ancienne vidéo et le résultat que j'ai eu n'était pas concluant car j'avais mis trop d'eau vu que le plâtre avait tendance à durcir trop rapidement.
Du coup, je vais réessayer en suivant cette vidéo à la lettre. J'ai une question cependant, quel vernis utilisez-vous pour imperméabiliser le pot si ce n'est pas indiscret ?

Coucou, alors le secret dans cette préparation est de bien prendre soins de choisir un platre blanc (et non pas beige) qui lui va durcir moin rapidement que le beige, j'espère que ça pourra vous aider ❤️
En ce qui concerne le vernis je n'ai pas de marque à vous recommandez, néanmoins préférez un vernis a base d'eau non toxic

Il n'y a pas de marque, just des produits.
Sable, ciment blanc, platre qui a les même caractéristiques que j'ai écris dans la description sur le packaging.
Facilement trouvable dans un magasin de bricolage

How to calculate how many grams of powder is needed for a silicone mold?
