Altough if you take a look at the comics, you can find that that's the lesson Spider-Man learned when his uncle was killed.
"I am Iron Man" doesn't deserve a spot on this list. Only Batman can state his superhero identity and make a catchphrase out of it. Besides, Iron Man is overrated as hell. He's super, but he's not quite a hero. Heroes don't save lives for their own self image.
Alpha Sanismar the words "I am Iron Man" are never technically said in the song. CLOSE (I'm Iron Maaaaan), but not exactly. The opening line in the song is "Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind? Can he walk at all, or if he moves will he fall?" The term "I am Iron Man" has been around since he debuted in the comics, and in the 90s cartoon where the second season did a version that sounded very Black Sabbath-esque and THAT said "I. AM! I-RON MAN!!! I! AM! I-RON MAN!!!!!" It is also used in all 3 movies. "I am Iron Man." - end of Iron Man. "I am Iron Man, the suit and I are one." - Iron Man 2 senate hearing, and "I *am* Iron Man" - end of Iron Man 3.

Either in the beginning, ending, or when people ask why does he go out of his way he says "With great powers comes great responsibilities. "
johnathan clark His uncle actually said it never in the comics. A variation of it was said in the narration box in the last panel of amazing fantasy #15. Most other media just have Uncle Ben say the line because it is an easy way to show peter's inflating ego at the time.
www.spiderfan.org/comics/title/spiderman_wgpcgr.html A volume collection called Spider-Man: With great powers comes great responsibilities. Uncanny X-Men#346: where Spider-Man answers Marrow question on why he's helping her. He introduced the doctor to his dead uncle that nobody sees and then passes out. Bitchin art by Erik Larsen.
"Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man"... really? And Shazam as just an honorable mention!?!? Who else on this list can literally KILL SOMEONE with just their catchphrase? And it only gets an honorable mention? But "Cowabunga" is on there? C'mon now...
Iconic superheroes get special treatment :PPP Spider-Man and the Turtles are ubiquitous, while that blowhard Captain Marvel is only relevant to very adherent comic nerd. I hope Black Adam rips his entrails out one of these days :)
You know watch mojo doesn't know their comics when they put "bub" instead of "I'm the best there is at what I do, and what I do aint pretty" Or "your friendly neighborhood spider-man" instead of "with great power comes great responsibility"
I know! At least This looks like a job for Superman was there, but I would placed it higher than "Bub" from Wolverine. That was a sad entry. This was a disappointing list.
My favorite Superhero Catchphrases are "Back in a Flash" "In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night..." "I'm Batman" "Bub" "Cowabunga!" "Avengers Assemble!" "It's Clobberin' Time" "HULK SMASH!" "I'm Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man"
I know the Terminator isn't exactly a super but " come with me if you want to live" is a pretty badass catch phrase. It's probably not even a catchphrase now that I think about it lol
Ahhhh.... That Avengers circle shot never gets old! It's as epic now as it was the first time i saw it! Can't wait for Age of Ultron to see what momorable scenes they'll have. According to Mr. Joss it'll be many this time around. MANY! One being Hulk vs Hulkbuster. That's gonna be amazing!
+laz kar He doesn't need to say anything more. It isn't his arrogance it's his character. It's always business. There's more meaning to what he says's unlike most characters in comics Batman has deeper meaning within the psychology and philosophy of the character.
laz kar Smmh... ahaha sorry marvel fanboy, if you actually good comics you'd understand. Like read Arkham Asylum or court of owls and then say Batman falls apart.
You don't understand the character if you say he "falls apart" that goes against so many writers and obviously people like him. He isn't what you say he is if he's been this successful, and such a pop culture icon. Oh and i have read The Dark Knight Strikes Again. That, and DKR are considered else world stories therefore they don't directly attribute towards the continuity of Batman. You can't pull two comics then say based off that he falls apart. Tower of babel literally pits Batman against the whole JLA and he beats them. How is that falling apart? Your arguing against the majority, and what most if not all Batman writers have stated.
laz kar Most iconic hero ever. 75 years strong. Best comic book based movie ever. Most Oscars. Stop thinking your smarter or more aware of whats happening within the world of comics. People like Batman for various reasons. Unlike one-note Marvel characters Batman has many layers. See the funny thing within your whole argument is you've probably only been exposed to the popular story-lines. You must have this hipster complex within yourself to feel the need to bash something just because people like it. They like it for a reason. I' am not saying every popular thing is great, but when you have been popular for 75 years, the content creators must be doing something right. You are the one who appears blind to what quality story telling is.
laz kar Yet you keep replying. I don't have to explain anything to you. You're an ass and i have just enough people to disagree with you to make it laughable you even say the idiotic things you have.

Bayley Milliner What are you talking about?. The Flash was a main character in Justice League (2001-2004) and Justice League Unlimited (2004-2006). They were talking about the Flash in Justice League but they mislabeled and showed clips of the Flash from Young Justice (2010-2013). The Flash in Young Justice is different from the Flash in Justice League. Sonic and Mario are all the same character in every appearance. There are different people that wear the Flash costume.
As kickass as the line was(and no matter how much Kevin Conroy uses it as a badge of honor at conventions), the character only said the line that one time, which discounts it as a catchphrase.
Actually a catchphrase is " A well known sentence or phrase, especially one that is associated with a particular person". Straight from the Oxford English Dictionary therefore it counts as a catchphrase.

***** So... a _magic_ phrase, then.
***** Universal? Has any other character in the DCU said "Azarath Metreon Zinthos" and had anything happen?

Meh "I'm Batman " is by far the most popular and iconic of the bunch should have been first
Not really, "I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man" is known worldwide and batman only by tumblr users and fanboys that claim to be comics fans because they watched batman's trilogy
+Sebastian Escobar It should have been in top 3 atleast!!
I'm not a comic book fan so It's look like i'm representating the major part of the population and I've heard the phrase "I'm batman" more often. And I think none of the other phrases are as popular as batman whatever the reason is. Comic or movie it doesn't matter.

sebastian you realize most Spiderman fans are people who watch the movies
"I'm the God Damn Batman" from the Scott Snyder arc was so much cooler than normal old "I'm Batman"
I'M BATMAN is one of the most iconic catchphrases. I'M THE GOD DAMN BATMAN was in all star batman and robin
That's Frank Miller's Allstar Batman not Scott Snyder's Batman
I love: "Bring it on bitch, I'm Batman" from Epic Rap Battles of History :).
In fact, the first time Batman said "I'm the God Damn Batman" was on All Star Batman and Robin by Frank Miller.

YES
SO MUCH YES
Definately, fucking love that phrase
1st ''I'm Batman'' should be on the top and 2nd U put it below ''Flame on''? Seriously? What is wrong with you.
Even ''Shazam'' or Green Lanterns Oath is way better than that.
The oath doesn't really seem like a catch phrase to me.
ya flame on does not belong on this list, it should be replaced with SHAZAM. the other ones are ok though.
Kenny aka TI I think you have a point there.

His uncle actually said it never in the comics. A variation of it was said in the narration box in the last panel of amazing fantasy #15. Most other media just have Uncle Ben say the line because it is an easy way to show peter's inflating ego at the time.

A volume collection called Spider-Man: With great powers comes great responsibilities.
Uncanny X-Men#346: where Spider-Man answers Marrow question on why he's helping her. Bitchin art by Joe Madurai
My favorite is Amazing Spider-Man#350 Where a delusional Peter Parker has a long conversation with Uncle Ben on the subject, when visiting a Doctor about his concussion. He introduced the doctor to his dead uncle that nobody sees and then passes out. Bitchin art by Erik Larsen.

"Im not locked in here with you , you're locked in here with ME!!"
+Bounty Ultron H Yes... A quote that will always make my bones tingle!
typical rorshack fan.
Sounds cheesy and antiquated by today's standards; very much like what would astonish magic show spectators in the '20s.
You know in the new Turtles show they don't say cowabunga, instead Mickey shouts booya-ca-shaw!
Quinn Fletcher
I hate when Mikey says that I miss cowabunga.
"With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-man.Tobey Maguire
With great power comes great responsibility
cl4ymore123 your mom's
You know watch mojo doesn't know their comics when they put "bub" instead of "I'm the best there is at what I do, and what I do aint pretty"
Or "your friendly neighborhood spider-man" instead of "with great power comes great responsibility"
Or maybe it's the people voting that don't know shit.
Spiderman barely ever says with, great power comes great responsibility, it's usually his uncle
with great power comes great responsibility is more like a motto
I agree with you on the Wolverine, "bub" is more like a nickname or insult. While "I'm the best at what I do" shows that Logan means business.
Agree with the Wolverine thing, not with Spiderman. "With great power comes great responsibility" isn't really a catch phrase. He barely ever says it.
"it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's WatchMojo fucking up a list again!"
2:17 "...acts both as a SCARED vow" Nice job
"The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway!"
AnimeFreak27 he was joking. right RIGHT
who says that?
dumbduff Elsa! From the movie Frozen.
thats lonestar from spaceballs
AnimeFreak27 Just pointing out Anna proves to be the real hero of the story not Elsa.
My fav superhero catchphrase is batman's "SWEAR TO ME!!" He usually yells it
"I swear to God"
"SWEAR TO ME!"
He said it once
No no no, Batman usually says in a calm voice, with a smile, "It's the car. Chicks dig the car".
ResaleRookie That's actually Robin.
Robin Ludvig Isomaa
Batman say's it first
1.I'm Batman 2.Back in a flash 3.Spideys catchphrase
Changing batmans to 3 spideys to 1
+KillerInstinct u crazy
No Spider-Man's should still be number one
"I'm the best there is at what I do. But what I do isn't very nice." - Wolverine
"Autobots roll out." that's the best one.
Ohhh i thought it was "I'm Batman" from Wonder Woman
Someone has been watching CinemaSins. xD
Jason Carson just a little °J°
Pinky Wolf2004 i love how youtube just flagged your comment and i couldn't see it because of that XDD
You mean that Superman's "Up Up and Away" wasn't number one? Wasn't on the list? and wasn't even an honorable mention?
I know! At least This looks like a job for Superman was there, but I would placed it higher than "Bub" from Wolverine. That was a sad entry. This was a disappointing list.
Because of you're friendly neighborhood spider-man :D!
elitebelt Hey, I love Spidey, I really do, but, the rest of the list is just bad.
My favorite Superhero Catchphrases are
"Back in a Flash"
"In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night..."
"I'm Batman"
"Bub"
"Cowabunga!"
"Avengers Assemble!"
"It's Clobberin' Time"
"HULK SMASH!"
"I'm Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man"
fuuuuuuuuuck!!!!!!! no. 1 its suposed to be "i'm the vengeance, i'm the night, i'm BATMAN"
Shadow Oskay fuck off
Knight
i love them all. but this is my favorite. IT'S NOT REVENGE. IT'S PUNISHMENT - The Punisher
Yes Punisher should have definitely been on this list. Thank You for pointing it out.
your welcome
Love it, love everything about it
NICE :)
Transformers roll out
*Autobots
Let's Roll*
You best not disrespect my boy static
“The names static i put a shock to yo system-“
I know the Terminator isn't exactly a super but " come with me if you want to live" is a pretty badass catch phrase. It's probably not even a catchphrase now that I think about it lol
Or" I'll be back"
Yo Momma Also not a hero.
Let's not forget WyldStyle's "Come with me if you wanna not die" lol
nadda sleepy He was when he said that.
Minor error: The first two and final clips used for The Flash came from Young Justice, not Justice League.
I saw it too
Yeah, I think Optimus Prime's, "Auto-bots, roll out", catch phrase should be somewhere on this list.
what about "YOU HAVE FAILED THIS CITY" from arrow season 1?
exactly
they shouldve included that one
"By the power of Greyskull" - He-man, could've been on the list.
What about Robin's "Holy.........Batman!"?
Holy shit, Batman!
"Teen titans go!"Robin
+Grace Goodenberger I would have gone with anything Robin said in the 60's version of Batman. "Holy****, Batman".
true
My favorite catch phrase is "I'm whelmed." From Robin in Young Justice.
Age of Ultron comes out on my birthday! I cannot wait!
Man, you watch that scene..even when it was just in a trailer and you had yet to see the movie...and you just knew shit was going down!!!!!
because i'm batman and SWEAR TO ME!!!
I'm sure "I'm batman is the most famous out of the lot though"
+Viyom Varma no Avengers Assemble is very well know as well as Hulk Smash.
Braiden Baker Batman look on my channel
'I am the vengeance, I am the k/night, I AM BATMAN' greatest superhero catchphrase if all time, should have been number 1
Whist about he man "BY THE POWER OF GREY SKULL, I HAVE THE POWER!!"
AND I SAY, HEYAEAEAEAEAEAEAYEAYAYEA
How didn't "I'm batman" came I first that's the best line in like... EVER
How was " I'm Batman" not higher up?!
I have no idea.
BECAUSE IM BAAAAAAATTTMAAAAANNNNN..... AND I KINDA WANNA KEEP A LOW PROFILE.
People complain that Batman is always in Top 3 on WatchMojo vids, and people complain about when Batman is low on the list. I dont get it.
I know it should have been it least #3
Because you're friendly neighborhood spider-man that's why.
did anyone else catch when she said scared instead of sacred
Ye
You forgot "I'm ron Wilson bus driver" if your a 2000s kid you should know this line

gamernation210 They did The Avengers.
^
gamernation210 They put in the ENTIRE green lantern Corp.
Im Batman should be #1
Its too simple. And Batman always wins most of watchmojos lists so dont worry. Spidey is my favorite
+BECAUSE I'M BATMAN! Why ?
+Maria Lopez true that
Okö
Just coz he's the coolest character doesn't give him the best catchphrase
"Autobots, ROLL OUT!" Is not even on the damn list?!? C'mon watchmojo! I'm starting to think monkeys using typewriters are creating this list.
Yes. but they technically are not superheros.
Tots agree
stwcrusher yes transformers are super heroes they saved the world multiple times
Should've been an honorable mention
Amen.
"I'm the Doctor."
And don't you _dare_ say he's not a superhero.
No love for He-Man? By the Power of F*cking Grayskull, WatchMojo!
Better than 'I'm Batman'. at least
The scene from 1:50 was not from the Justice League, but was from Young Justice.
Exactly, WatchMojo doesn't know their shit.
There was no rule about it being there own series,Just there appearance,Thats like saying because Sonic in mario and sonic olympic games is not allowed
Dude he was just making a correction... You don't need to get all rude to watch mojo. It was an honest mistake. No big deal.
"With Great Power Comes Great Bitches"
It's Hero Time deserved to be here
My favourite superhero catchprases : "FUS~~ RO~~ DAH !!!!!!!"
I know its not from comic, but he/she is really a superhero, dont you agree ?
No, just no.... I was going to comment that, but then I took an arrow on a knee...
No...
Antiheroes then?
JustAskMeTV101 Can't count as anti-hero too, because you can kill almost everyone in the game as you please.
You never actually play as Dovakiin, plus he was never in a comic and you could be bad in skyrim if you want
"It's a bird" "It's a Plane" "NO! ITS SUPERMAN!" Why didn't it make the list
iiHaven | MCSG & GFX because thats not a superhero catchphrase
Cause that's not his catchphrase..
Sherlock Holmes no shit sherlock
juliet treacy no need to be rude
Up, up and away is more of a catchphrase. It should have been mentioned.
For Batman it should have been "I am VENGEANCE. I am the NIGHT. I AM BATMAN!!!!!
He said it once
As kickass as the line was(and no matter how much Kevin Conroy uses it as a badge of honor at conventions), the character only said the line that one time, which discounts it as a catchphrase.
Actually a catchphrase is " A well known sentence or phrase, especially one that is associated with a particular person". Straight from the Oxford English Dictionary therefore it counts as a catchphrase.
Don't make me angry , you wouldn't like me when I'm angry should have made the list
"I'm the Goddamn Batman!!!"
by the power of grey skull???
I have the power!
heman
Gilgameshᴼᵖᵉᶰ ♥ don't forget his battle pussy.
Gilgameshᴼᵖᵉᶰ ♥ Skeletor is not a superhero
Arliss Caruso
Heman
Hulk Smash needs to be #1.
Damn it was #2,
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man is much more iconic.
***** Yea it is pretty iconic, but I think its because Spidey is more popular. Hulk at his earliest just smashed.
not super hero but
batmans enemy
joker:WHY SO SERIOUS
lets PUT A SMILE TO THAT FACE
how about "*insert name*, you have failed this city" - The Green Arrow
