Vegito has more power albeit slight, he has double the time limit ( don't be that guy to bring up the Vegito defuse, that was only due to poor energy handling that would also defuse gogeta), Vegito's ultimate attack final Kamehameha can be deduced to be stronger than big bang Kamehameha since final flash is more powerful than big bang attack. The newer Broly movie also seems to have skewed a lot of people's opinion as well but what some people seem to forget is that Gogeta blue's appearance happened much later the Vegito blue and not only that but it was after the TOP which propelled both Vegeta and Goku massively in power meaning a Vegito appearance post TOP would also be many times more powerful than during the Zamasu fight. Finally, the only scaling that happens with fusions is based on the two individuals fusing base power so where do you get that Gogeta has better scaling, they both have the same scaling except Gogeta has to take a power hit that Vegito doesn't so Vegito scaling is higher if you wanna walk that road at all.

Your head canon doesn't matter, Toriyama himself said it, and in case you forgot he created dragon ball as a whole so I don't know what orifice you're pulling all this from. You also neglected to pay attention to the fact that I stated that both Vegeta and Goku were leagues stronger in the Broly movie than they were in the Zamasu arc, I don't know why everyone ignores that. If both of the base parts of the fusion are stronger and have a higher limit to their energy the fusion will enjoy the same benefit. So no that's not "conceding" anything but nice try. The blue being Vegito's max and Gogeta's start is also incorrect, just cause Gogeta shows up already in blue doesn't mean his limit is higher, clearly you haven't watched much DragonBall if you think that the strongest characters just start off in their peak form blue is the max we've seen from either of them yet so how and when they choose to use it is irrelevant. Gogeta is inherently weaker whether or not it's by much as stated by the creator and that's a tough pill to swallow I see.
So all things considered, think we can all agree that even though they're short lived for a reason, Fusions are fun to watch and great. and that if all things were even and we had two identical versions of Goku and Vegeta fusing with one another and they both fought without a bower boost limitation that makes them defuse faster if they used too much power and they were both set to 30 minutes tops so that everything was equal in terms of the time limit too. Interms of raw power Vegito would probably come out on top, since (like everyone wont stop saying ,true or not) there is a boost that is higher than the fusion dance because I believe that the Potara act as a catalyst for both Goku and Vegeta to stay "stuck together" meaning the literal glue to hold both bodies together is the potara with mystical magical goodness. Which would then lead me to believe that because the potara makes the bodies not strain themselves to keep their powers exactly equal they can multiply their max power output more easily and thus win the fight in sheer raw power. However, the other side of that makes me believe that with that being said, Gogeta is a lot more crafty and inventive. Gogeta being born from the fusion dance would naturally be weaker since both bodies have to stay in perfect equilibrium for the fusion to work and to stay together. This would cause strain to the body and would make the catalyst for the fusion be a constant strain on the body until the body couldn't keep both people together and they inevitably defuse. This would be why Gogeta would hypothetically get less of a power boost than Vegito and what leads Vegito to be more cocky and chatty during battles, while Gogeta is usually all business when he starts and ACTUALLY FINISHES his fights. With this Gogeta could hypothetically win if he is able to outsmart Vegito in some capacity. But with all that being said, since both of them would basically be exact carbon copies of the people that make the fusions, they would eventually realize eachother's strengths and potential weaknesses and try to end things at the exact same time and end up in a draw some how, even if Gogeta is weaker but more of a end things right here right now kind of guy , while Vegito is an overconfidant blowhard but even stronger than Gogeta, things would end up in such a way that they both defuse at the same time and weren't able to finish each other off in time.

I aint gonna brag but gogeta actually finishes his opponents. I haven't seen vegito finishing his opponents. More like hes really powerful so he toys with them, still gogeta has really powerful moves compared to vegito. Also gogeta is a seperate being that is born from fusion dance. He lives just for 30min. He has a character and a personality.

You're in denial if you think Gogeta was made canon just to be Vegito's second fiddle, even for the movie they stated he's equally matched with Vegito and frankly Gogeta has displayed much, much better scaling
Fusion dance has never been stated to be equal to a potara fusion. Vegito has more power albeit slight, he has double the time limit ( don't be that guy to bring up the Vegito defuse, that was only due to poor energy handling that would also defuse gogeta), Vegito's ultimate attack final Kamehameha can be deduced to be stronger than big bang Kamehameha since final flash is more powerful than big bang attack. The newer Broly movie also seems to have skewed a lot of people's opinion as well but what some people seem to forget is that Gogeta blue's appearance happened much later the Vegito blue and not only that but it was after the TOP which propelled both Vegeta and Goku massively in power meaning a Vegito appearance post TOP would also be many times more powerful than during the Zamasu fight. Finally, the only scaling that happens with fusions is based on the two individuals fusing base power so where do you get that Gogeta has better scaling, they both have the same scaling except Gogeta has to take a power hit that Vegito doesn't so Vegito scaling is higher if you wanna walk that road at all.

Vegito didn't defuse because of "poor energy handling", that would mean you're conceding that Vegito doesn't know how to manage his power which is an immediate disadvantage in this comparison. Vegito defused because the Potara couldn't handle his strength in Blue form. And yes, in theory the fusion dance has these power and time constraints as well, but Gogeta was able to do much more than Vegito despite using the same power level (or higher, considering he appeared arcs later)

Gogeta has a higher scaling because the highest you can get Vegito is SSB level in base using the manga, which is the minimum for Gogeta's base. In the anime Vegito is just straight up worse, struggling with Merged Zamasu who moments prior was being overpowered by the Father-Son Galick Gun, Goku's full power Kamehameha and Blue Kaioken, and later was bodied by SS Rage Future Trunks using the energy of a handful of people on Earth 🤦♂️ yeah, Vegito Blue was putting in work to try and defeat this dude. To say Gogeta isn't Vegito's equal when he outright has better showings would be disingenous
Bruh, he defused because he used final Kamehameha which draws more energy and is more powerful than any attack gogeta uses. Canonically Vegito using the potara has always been more powerful. Your head canon doesn't matter, Toriyama himself said it, and in case you forgot he created dragon ball as a whole so I don't know what orifice you're pulling all this from. You also neglected to pay attention to the fact that I stated that both Vegeta and Goku were leagues stronger in the Broly movie than they were in the Zamasu arc, I don't know why everyone ignores that. If both of the base parts of the fusion are stronger and have a higher limit to their energy the fusion will enjoy the same benefit. So no that's not "conceding" anything but nice try. The blue being Vegito's max and Gogeta's start is also incorrect, just cause Gogeta shows up already in blue doesn't mean his limit is higher, clearly you haven't watched much DragonBall if you think that the strongest characters just start off in their peak form blue is the max we've seen from either of them yet so how and when they choose to use it is irrelevant. Gogeta is inherently weaker whether or not it's by much as stated by the creator and that's a tough pill to swallow I see.

So all things considered, think we can all agree that even though they're short lived for a reason, Fusions are fun to watch and great.
and that if all things were even and we had two identical versions of Goku and Vegeta fusing with one another and they both fought without a bower boost limitation that makes them defuse faster if they used too much power and they were both set to 30 minutes tops so that everything was equal in terms of the time limit too.
Interms of raw power Vegito would probably come out on top, since (like everyone wont stop saying ,true or not) there is a boost that is higher than the fusion dance because I believe that the Potara act as a catalyst for both Goku and Vegeta to stay "stuck together" meaning the literal glue to hold both bodies together is the potara with mystical magical goodness. Which would then lead me to believe that because the potara makes the bodies not strain themselves to keep their powers exactly equal they can multiply their max power output more easily and thus win the fight in sheer raw power.
However, the other side of that makes me believe that with that being said, Gogeta is a lot more crafty and inventive. Gogeta being born from the fusion dance would naturally be weaker since both bodies have to stay in perfect equilibrium for the fusion to work and to stay together. This would cause strain to the body and would make the catalyst for the fusion be a constant strain on the body until the body couldn't keep both people together and they inevitably defuse. This would be why Gogeta would hypothetically get less of a power boost than Vegito and what leads Vegito to be more cocky and chatty during battles, while Gogeta is usually all business when he starts and ACTUALLY FINISHES his fights. With this Gogeta could hypothetically win if he is able to outsmart Vegito in some capacity.
But with all that being said, since both of them would basically be exact carbon copies of the people that make the fusions, they would eventually realize eachother's strengths and potential weaknesses and try to end things at the exact same time and end up in a draw some how, even if Gogeta is weaker but more of a end things right here right now kind of guy , while Vegito is an overconfidant blowhard but even stronger than Gogeta, things would end up in such a way that they both defuse at the same time and weren't able to finish each other off in time.
