Thanks for the honest review. I think they listened because the new marcum pursuit HD has IR and is a great run and gun type unit. I will be getting one ASAP!!!!!
Bought a quest. Loved the recording capability, liked the on screen ability determine which way the camera was pointing. Also liked the ability to read depth and water temp, and loved that the lithiumbatter was included. Hated cable storage on the 75 ft cable, and the detachable fin that could hold the camera in a vertical position was junk. But after 4 trips the depth readout stopped working so it went back to the store. Now have an aquaview on the way same price, less features but hopefully more reliable.
I am kind of sad to be spending the same money for a unit with fewer features. The Marcum quest comes with a case, lithium battery, water depth, camera direction indicator. The aquaview does have the ability to attach a trolling fin a feature that truly excites me. Will get back with a complete comparison when my new camera comes in. Tight lines
I bought one this year(2020) for ice fishing. Right out of the box the depth finder, temperature didn't work. MarCum wanted me to pay for the shipping to them to get it fixed. The adjustments to the screen (contrast, brightness, etc.) is difficult to use because the screen to chose what to adjust and to show how much adjustment you made is right in the middle of the screen, about 2/3s of the screen. The owners manual says after choosing what adjustment you want to make it would drop to bottom of the screen so you can see what it looks like while you are adjusting but it doesn't. I asked MarCum about that and they said it was a typo. The 2 complete sentences are a typo. The distance you can see is not far 3 to 6 feet. You see in this video the camera is very close to his fishing hole. So there is a chance you can get tangled up with the camera cord. I used the fin that lets you see straight down the hole and it's like your farther away than you are. Looking down the hole at my bait was better. the water I fished is pretty clear you can see the bottom from 15ft above. Yet I could barely see my lure from 6 ft away when the camera was horizontal. It's like looking through a cloud. Without seeing the bottom I doubt I could have found my lure. Maybe like the depth etc. the camera is screwed too. I don't know. I did catch fish I never would have had I just used my flasher though. Hopefully after I get it fixed it will work better.
MARCUM QUEST HD FOOTAGE - INSANE CUTTHROAT TROUT ICE FISHING - MONTANA ICE TOUR #3 Copy and paste that into the search bar & watch it. It's footage from a clear lake about 10ft away.
The Marcum Quest HD camera seems like a cool device... I purchased and used the Marcum M3 today, caught perch based on the electronics, should be a good year!
Ever have any issues with moisture getting into the camera housing, causing a very blurry image? Have had the same issue even with a camera/cable replacement.
I have the same camera, I love it and use it in my Castle fish house, but now when I put the camera down past 20' it goes from color to black and white. Have you ever ran into this?
Thank you. I’m trying to do my research to upgrade from my aqua view micro stealth. I need a way to see into the dark time. We catch fish after dark in some lakes. My camera is useless once it’s mostly dark.
@@RushVoorhisOutdoors lol 😆 I was actually being a smart a s s. You were clear the camera panner was trash. Good video I was just having fun, thought you would get a good laugh 👍👍
can you turn of the info on the HDMI output feed so it's just what the camera sees on the recorded video?

NEEDS the IR . Hope you enjoy it!
Great review. What Aqua-View camera would you recommend for depths below 30'. Thanks.

I kinda wish I had an aqua vu ...

Haha yes it does! Pretty nice little hut!
Rush Voorhis Outdoors absolutely exquisite!!!

No i haven't, could be condensation building up ? I'm not sure, but I've never had that issue thankfully
Amazing buddy!! Bro where's the big screen, the kitchen and the bathroom.. you would never have to leave!! 😂

Nah, that's just the camera. It does that in low light.
hey man is the camera on here the EXACT same as the one on my LX9? i've had my camera replaced 2 times now.
I'm not sure, too be honest. It's the Sony CEMOS 1080

They just came out with a1080 camera
Good honest review, Thanks Rush
Thank you buddy
How about the camera panner? Do you like it?
It's not the best
@@RushVoorhisOutdoors lol 😆 I was actually being a smart a s s. You were clear the camera panner was trash. Good video I was just having fun, thought you would get a good laugh 👍👍
Actually for the panner cut a couple inch off the top of a bucket and make a ring to suspend it over the hole.
Yeaaa maybe
Thanks man! Needed this!
Yessir!
What kind of hub is that? Looks nice!
The otter thermal 4 man. I'm gonna have a review video of it tomorrow
I'm about to go spend money on one or the other Aqua Vue or Marcum? Please respond within 20 min if you can.
Get the aqua vu
Rush Voorhis Outdoors Aquavu hd 7i pro gen2 or 10i pro gen2?
What about cable storage? The quest HD with the 75 ft cable is trash
I would 👍
I would agree, cable storage is shitty
What about the new pursuit
Haven't tested it yet, camera looks good tho...
