- One night, Siddharth Gautama left his palace in search of the knowledge of the cause of sufferings and became a Wandering Ascetic. He meditated under the bodhi tree and promised himself that he would not move until he attained ENLIGHTENMENT. He meditated for several days and visualized his entire life and previous lives. After meditating for 49 days, Gautama Buddha finally found the answer to the questions that he had been seeking for so many years. He found pure ENLIGHTENMENT, and in that moment of ENLIGHTENMENT Siddhartha Gautama became the BUDDHA, which means the AWAKENED ONE or the ENLIGHTENED ONE. At the time of his ENLIGHTENMENT, he gained complete insight into the cause of suffering and the necessary steps to eliminate it. He called these steps the ‘ FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS.’ After getting ENLIGHTENMENT, BUDDHA continued to sit in silence under the BODHI TREE for 7 more weeks. Siddhartha Gautama wandered for 6 years and tried different techniques under various Teachers before leaving all of them and meditating alone. This is I believe the general story.. not just meditating for 49 days after leaving the palace as described in the video.
Title does say it. This is about the 7 weeks right after He attained Enlightenment in the month of May ( Vesak full moon poya day) . Afterwards He decided to Teach the Dhamma, which happened to be in July. The first Discourse Dhamma chakka pawattana sutta ( setting in motion the wheel of Dhamma) was delivered in Esala full moon poya day.
@@deela262 at the start of the video it is said that Siddhartha Gautama left the palace, became an ascetic and started meditating for several days.. but that is just a part of the actual story that we have been listening to..He also worked hard for 6 years after leaving the palace. Thought that people should be aware of that too.

Faith that is faith alone,sometimes fails when the winds of bitter experience a blow .But the faith that is born of knowledge provides a foundation which is so strong that NO wind of circumstance can disturb it .Blessed are those who believe and have not yet seen ,but thrice blessed are they who know and , because they know ,place their faith in that which is not yet revealed to them , because they know that the laws of the universe are operated by power which is Love ❤ and wisdom .

These Masters need none of that....we need it simply because we think we do....Master have shut down the stupid mind and it’s stupid beliefs!
But we are bound to the laws of this material world.. no one is above the law of nature otherwise the Buddha wont die physically.. the moral of the Buddha's life is within the confines of logical and rationality. Even the Buddha encourages doubt. Belief from your own experience
He's at such an enlightened phase, he don't need food nor water because he didn't feel hunger nor thirst.
