This channel is about sharing how I craft leather goods in a way that hopefully inspires others to pursue their passion. For me, the word "legacy" has grown to mean 'to pass the torch.' That can be sharing a passion, craft, or heirloom with the next generation. My hope is that by showing, for example, how I cut my leather goods or saddle stitch a wallet that you might be inspired to either take up the craft or inspired to pursue whatever your current passion happens to be. I hope you enjoy and learn something about the craft.

I downloaded the money bag. I didn't think when designing a utility bag to do the process such as you did here. I enjoyed the rolled edges.

Be nice for a tobacco pipe, a tamper, lighter, couple of pipe cleaners, and a small bag of tobacco.

Followed the instructions but now the side pieces don’t match up with the top and bottoms pieces. I decided not to skive and roll the edges so I just took an inch off the length of the bottom piece so now it’s 11.25 inches. Please help good sir. Thank you

Hey Shawn! Looking at the information provided here... you trimmed off 1" from the bottom piece since you were not going to skive and roll the edges, leaving you with the 11.25" length of the bottom piece. So I imagine the gusset piece (zipper and bottom piece) is still too LONG and doesn't fit the sides, correct? Did you take off another inch for the other side rolled edge? So instead it should be 10.25" long. You should be able to back out the stitches of one side bottom piece connecting to the zipper piece, trim it by an inch, and then re-attach and stitch. Then the entire zipper + bottom should more easily align with the side pieces. Let me know if you have any more trouble or questions or concerns.

@@legacybrandleather you were right! Made the correction with the bottom panel and everything fit together perfectly!! Bag came out really nice! Thanks again for the video and pdf. So stoked on this thing even though I spent 5 years hand stitching the damn thing together lol

@@chromexcelcrafter4545 Huzzah! Glad it worked out! I would love to see it, tag me on Instagram @legacybrandleather if you can. Yeah, it does take a while to stitch! But the result is pretty fun 😃
