Oh my goodness Renee! I'm a avid reader, but "Verity" was the most dark and disturbing book I've ever read! I must say you were correct when you said "Verity" was a page turner! But OMG I was not ready for this book!! While reading "Verity" I would ask myself why am I reading this!! But of course I couldn't but it down! It's one of those books you will continue to think about well after you've finished. While I'm at it, I want to thank you for so many of your recommendations. Just rec'd the knit color block sweater in fall colors, and have purchased the bras and panties you have recommended on your You Tube channel. Thank you so much, all is appreciated.

I’m not a huge reader but enjoy a good read. I ordered Verity when you recommended it in the first video and was captivated, definitely a page turner, I finished it in one day, my husband wanted me to tell him about it since I couldn’t put it down. I have since purchased several other of Colleen Hoovers books and read, funny you did too but “It Ends With Us” this story was so emotional for me, I had to remind myself it’s a story. I have also been told to read Sally Beauman, if you want to try her books. Thank you for sharing your information about these books.

Well, I'm actually a librarian so I am biased, but I love reading and books and libraries! I'm also a translator (from English to my native tongue) and ever since I started translating literature, I was hooked and wouldn't go back to translating non-fiction.
I haven't read anything by Coleen Hoover, but I'll put some of her books on my to read list!

Hello, just wanted to tell you this, watched about half of this vlog, then had to pop out to get some shopping. I walked into my local supermarket and right by the entrance was a book stand with Colleen Hooves new release It Starts With Us ! Can you believe it?!😅never heard of this author before, so needless to say I will be starting this tonight. So, thank you so much my American friend for all your recommendations from books, to skin care, to clothing, I love it all. Much love from across the pond, in England. ❤xx

Remember you talking about how much you were enjoying reading Verity a while back so was super excited to see it included in the stack of books my best friend AKA my book dealer leant me. It did not disappoint, sooooo good!

Low carb and a Colleen Hoover fan...we are soul sisters! My first book of hers was Ugly Love, second one was Verity. I had several people read Verity after me. It was so hard waiting for them to finish so we could discuss it. So thought provoking! Even weeks after reading it, I’m still thinking about it. I have “It Ends With Us” and that’s my next read! Yes!! Renee! Love LOVE CoHo!! So, my mom (77) is an avid reader and turned me onto her. My first one was It End With Us. Wow oh wow soooo good and I’ve been on the waiting list at the library for the sequel for months now- I was actually high up on the list, so I should be getting it in the next few weeks I think. That’s pretty much my mom and I go to-The Library 📚
I too have also read November 9, verity, and Maybe Someday- definitely add that one to your list. It is a page turner and emotional roller coaster as well!!! I think that one is my second favorite after it ends with us.

I love to read and I love the library. It is the best form of free entertainment. Thank you for the recommendation I will definitely check out this author. Especially with winter coming I need good books to read.
All of her books are so different that I think you could enjoy lots of them.

I love reading autobiography books....as well as thrillers....also Mitch album books ..."The five people you meet in heaven",Tuesdays with Morrie".....Alice Sebold I believe "The lovely bones"......my best friend loves Stephen king....have to check out Coleen Hoover...I know a good Christmas gift for my friend...Thanks great job Renee! ❤️🐾
My brother I'm law lived Steven king I wish had lived to read " the fairy tale" by king...ut gave him a whole new world when I baby sat fir him he'd call up and breath heavy to try to scare me . my brother in law was a devil lol

Ive always loved books too but about 5 years ago my husband introduced me to Audible. It was suppose to be just for when we traveled to keep me from getting car sick, lol. I fell in love though. I listen to biographies, memoirs, historical non fiction. I do listen to some fiction novels too sometimes. I listened to 'Verity' with my bookclub and didn't care for it. With that being said, I couldn't put it down either, lol. It stayed on my mind for weeks after I finished it. It had very mixed reviews with our club and to date probably the most talked about.
When Joey from Friends read The Shining, he got scared and put the book in the freezer! 😂 These sound like freezer books or at least Verity does!😂

Love Love Love Colleen Hoover! Yes…Verity was so so disturbing and a page turner! Loved Reminders of Him is was so emotional! It Ends With Us…soooooooo good! Right now I am reading Heartbones and loving it! Will def read November 9th and It Starts With Us as well! Thanks for a great book review!
I have purchased "Verity"...but, I have not started it yet. Once I finish another book that I am currently reading...I will read "Verity". I love to read too. :) I love turning the pages of a book...& owning a book. I refuse to buy a Kindle. Maybe, I will break down one day & purchase a Kindle....but, not yet. LOL!
I'm not a big reader but when I do decide on reading a book I usually read it quickly lol My guy is a huge reader Steven King and Dean Koontz are his favorites and we have 5 bookshelves full 😳

There's 2 websites out there if you 1) want to know everything an author has written or 2) want to keep track of the books you've read (and if you read more then one book at once).
They're:
Fantastic Fiction
and
Goodreads.
Fantastic Fiction is a simple reference/bibliography website, but very good.
Goodreads is much more complex, but if you want to delve into a book along with seeing what other people think of it (but are not really into book groups), it's good for that too.

I read my first Colleen Hoover book, Verity, because you recommended it. I have since read 4 more from Colleen Hoover, and I am hooked as well. If you like a good psychological thriller, read The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides.

Just finished reading Verity. I would give it a solid 4 stars. I thought certain parts (can't say which parts without giving away too much) were too repetitive, and unnecessary vulgar language was used too often. But a good read, for sure. I enjoyed it enough I'm ordering another of Colleen Hoover's books now. The hard part is deciding which one!

I just finished Verity the day before your review of some of her books. It was not my favorite but would be open to reading another book by her.
Verity is in a class by itself. The rest of Colleen Hoover's books that I have read are completely different. You should another novel a try.
I read Verity and had to force myself to finish it. I actually threw the book away, I was so disgusted. I thought the writing was awful. To each their own though. Many people liked it.

Oh my gosh. My grandson’s girlfriend told me about Colleen Hoover. I was a little skeptical that it was a “teen read”. Then I heard you mention it and I jumped in with “Verity”. Then “It Ends With Us” and just NOW picked up “It Starts with Us” at Costco. 😊😂

Renee I just love you….you are a breath of fresh air always pleasant have a good heart and very down to earth but we are polar opposites when it comes to our entertainment. You mentioned a few times the movies you would like to see or TV shows you watch and now the books you read completely the opposite of your personality you’re unique sweet lady!

I've loved Colleen Hoover for a very long time! But, Verity is my least favorite of her books. Loved, loved, loved "Ugly Love". Glad you found her! She's a great author!

I usually read history books but I thought I'd give her books a try. I checked my local library and all of the copies of Verity are checked out or have a hold placed on them. I'm going to add myself to the hold list.
I read Verity due to your recommendation. You are so right!!! This book was fantastic and shocking as well!!. Loved it. I am an avid reader so I appreciated this book review video. You are a joy to watch. It Ends With US is my next pic. I also love a book in hand. My mom and I exchange books all the time. It's her birthday today. Celebrating her 84th. Happy reading!!!!

WORST. DAY. EVER! I am reading "It Ends With Us". Got to page 316 and the pages were turned upside down and the content I'd already read. I am returning it to Amazon but it's killing me not knowing how it ends!!!

Prepare yourself for Verity and allow a big chunk of time to read. It's not a story you want to keep putting down because you will be so into the story. Happy reading!

Thank you for telling enough so I know it isn’t for me! Even kids games have ads that are sexual, scary, disgusting content they use to entice kids to watch to steal their innocence.
I know a bunch of 15-16 year old girls that are reading Colleen Hoover books for a school assignment. Wow....I just wonder if the teachers have actually read what they are asking the kids to read. I don't think Verity was on the list thank goodness.
