Your skills are better than mine hahahahha
hahahahaha
Absolutely!
Ooo. .you make me emotional...cause I'm sarawakian(born in sarawak) and I left sarawak since 1989(im a sailor) and never been back to sarawak since than...cause I live in usa( sweetwater texas since 1991).
I watch your vedeo learn how to cook sarawak food and it bring tears in my eyes....and I really missed my country.
Good for both of you for this vedeo....and now I think I wanted to going back to sarawak...maybe this year.
I do like both of you.
Happy food traveling adventure.
Ohhh thank you so much! So glad to know that we brought you back so many great emotions! You should definitely come back home at least for a few months ! ☺️
Pls make a video of your family reaction when they taste the Sarawak cooking style 😆
Tako is originated from Thailand, they normally put diced water chestnuts inside.
Yes it's similar to tepung pelita without the green pandan layer
What an unbelievably irreplacable experience that u guys had!.. Extraordinary execution, stupendous ingredients n the will to cook great dishes...its absolutely an exciting journey to be shared
soooo true, Razinul! We were super blessed being able to experience all of that!!!
You know how good you both are and how totally natural when the viewer feels like they are watching a professional cooking show. Totally a quality video. Love you both. X
Wow, Janet! Such a lovely comment, you have no idea how happy we are knowing that you appreciate of what we do 🙏
I thought beer4breakfast only for foods and travel vlog... but the cooking class??? 🤔🤔 Achievement unlocked guys 👍🏻👍🏻😉😉 #cheerstofreedom
hehehehe, huge thank you! means a lot to us!!
It's part of their experience of their travel journey and we should be proud that they have learned cooking the local cuisine...
Cantik and Ria, this is a very, very good video. The host articulated really well on the process and small nuances. I am impressed. I also love the shopping basket. I think I may get one of those as it also limits you from binge buying from the Jaya or Village Grocers in town.
Hey, friend! Hahaha, love the fact that some of you call us Cantik and Ria !!! Sounds so exotic to our ears haha! yeah, we thought that too!
Thank You For Coming To Sarawak..
May God Bless Both You And Family..Much Love
the uncle is so cute and friendly!
He was just the sweetest. He has been running these classes for over a decade. That is dedication for you
You can find Midin at Peninsular malaysia too.. In malay food shop @ Nasi Campur during lunch.. Its called Pucuk Paku cooked with chili & prawn paste too (Belacan) At the Jalan Raja Alang market @ Kampung Baru you can buy it there.Remember the Ramadham market where you had the Tepung Pelita, its there..
How dare someone gave this video a thumb down? This video is great, exciting and you're lucky to have Joseph as your chef.
soooo lucky!
For people who don,t like prawn paste, you substitute it with oyster sauce.
a little bit info for you too, 2:14 He mention about Holiday Inn. Current name is Grand margherita, a 4 star hotel facing towards Sarawak River (Dont forget to ask river view room!). During stay you can enjoy your night at Rajang Bar with live band. Their breakfast are one of the best hotel in kuching!
Wow! Great info! Thanks, darling! 🙌
As someone from Peninsular/West Malaysia, I always feel like we don't know much about our brothers and sisters over in the east, makes me want to head over there again sometime in the future. Thank you for showing us all the different food and culture on your travels!
Wow the cooking class was awesome, finally you guys got some serious skill and technic in cooking, no joke there. FYI midin is wild fern and midin can't be plant in a vase or in a garden, it's every where at the roadsides in the bushes also easy to pluck it and cook it.
Great Info, Johny!!!
Farmer's markets are always so beautiful to look at.
true!
"im such a good cook" i laugh so hysterically hearing this from micha.
Aww love this video. The sambal midin you gals cooked looks 🤤🤤 Also, Joseph is like the kind school teacher all the kids like 😄

hahahahaha, thanks, Marcel!!!
I wonder if you try to selling that kuih in your motherland should be a viral!
good idea haha!
U 2 do a creative job on ur video 👍😘
huge thank you darling! Micha spends at least 5 hrs editing these videos for you guys! 💞
Maybe you should cook someday and invite your subscribers 😂
agree😉
Didn't know the cooking class exist. Awesome!
Happy for both of you beautiful ladies learning to cook Sarawak dishes.
The Bumbu Class master like to compare with village and city peoples.
We cut the pineapple same way as he was cutting but he mentioned city people's cutting is different.
One more thing, his cutting boards very dirty!
Anyway his teaching is great 👍.
Justina & Micha, both of you can show your cooking skills when both of you back to your home towns!
Cheers To Freedom 😘.
Thanks, Jenny!!!! His cutting boards weren't dirty, he's quite a hygienic person! It was just worn off from the amount of people that come to his cooking classes :)
Beer For Breakfast -
Remove Stains with Coarse Salt or Baking Soda. Dry the plastic board completely and sprinkle it with a good bit of salt or baking soda. Scrub out the stain using a sponge or a brush dipped into hot water.
Or can change to new plastic cutting boards 😉.
Travel video, foodies videos and now cooking video?!! 😍 keep it up girls!! This is great 👍🏽
Awesome. There's always a new experience in your adventure. Cheers.
cheers, buddy!

Good training today
Cantik dan Ria (wink wink), you can find midin in the peninsular also, under the name of pucuk paku. Usually sold at the rural markets.
Poopmaster
Midin is different from pucuk paku. Pucuk paku is found in Sarawak too but so much different from midin. Midin is crunchy and not leafy. Taste much better.
Pucuk paku besar..midin halus2 je...
Pucuk paku is not midin
Oh ye kerrr...? My bad. Now I know.
Bidayuh..✌
yes thats the way to cut pineapple

How much is the fee for the cooking class???
It is stated not long after the video starts, its at 28pound. Approx about RM 150 rasanya.
Thanks darling! We get so many comments about prices, address etc when most of the time we include that kind of info in the video hehe
Haha.. I bet they are in bliss watching the video thus not aware of the info. Perhaps you could do spongebob-like transition to get their attention. hehe.
