Any Sarawakian people here? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♂️
ME!
Me. Not happy with the tempe accompanying the ayam pansuh. Rosak, rosak…
the person behind the camera needs to brush up her knowledge on sarawakian food 🥲
Here from Kuching city ❤😊
Mee
Mee kolok is one of underrated food in Malaysia. I thought mee kolok just another mee sup but I was wrong. One day I send my car for repair while waiting I look for restaurant to have lunch. There was sarawak restaurant accross the road and happened to be the only restaurant open that day. So I went there and ordered mee kolok. The best 'mee sup' I ever had and the rest is history.
I'm Melanau, and umai is something that I will definitely going to eat. 🤣 But it's ok, I understand if some people don't want to eat it since it's not really made for everyone hihi. And yep, laksa sarawak is a "must have food" in every special occasion in Sarawak!
Alana should visit Sarawak for the real Sarawakian food experience. The pink colored chicken meat of the mee kolok is quite a turnoff actually. 😂
I know right! Lalu sik jadi mok makan 😂
@@ireumiobseum Aok. Nangga rona nya mirah pink kedak lipstick ompuan alu gelik rasa. Siney nak kah sidak tok meli makanan Sarawak tok kah. Hahhaha
@@sapuvan kedong mok yg halal ba. Mun kmk producer, lekak shooting kmk mbak gi carik yang ori mpun 😂
Alana will enjoy sarawakian foods a lot once she goes there
I guess she will eat any damn thing as long as it's sweet.
This is the first time I have seen people eat umai with crackers 😆
yeah,i was about to think the oso🤣🤣
All hail to laksa sarawak 🏆🔥❤️
I still cannot forget about a mee kolok shop near old Kubah Ria area in Petra Jaya. That was one of the sedap mee kolok in Kuching. Open until midnight. Our supper food. After the renovation happened. Where is the shop right now?
is it mee kolok mangkuk merah? hehe correct me if im wrong
@@azzyrahman6884 Sadly, I dunno the shop name. All I knew was I went to that kedai and then tapau. Its was 17 years ago. Hahaha
Faatin and vinuji so cute🤗🙆🏼♂️🙋♂️🌺
The best version of umai that I have ever tasted in Mukah, Swak is called "Umai Jep". Umai is similar to Sashimi, but it differs in its variation.
Umai=Ceviche to be exact.
Alana. The expert of Malaysian food. 😂😂😂
the overrated
the overrated
@@rikiyaaragaki why overrated?
i guess there no sarawakian in world of buzz team to advise them on the food😅
Yeah they got a lof info wrong 😅😅😅
i was trying to say the same thing hahahh we lost the opportunity to represent our unique food
I hope you all are good at learning the Malay language, it's very beautiful
the ayam pansuh should have been placed in a bowl with soup haha
There is a herb in there that is highly secret no one in Sarawak will tell you what it is... its that jamu flavour herb called temu lawak...
Alana, if you want to eat mee kolok...you can find it in Sg Besi. It's in the parking lot next to MRT Station Sg Besi
If uncle Roger is a Sarawakian, he would make an hour long video reviewing this.
And a lot of putting down his foot.🤣
Westerner memang ramai yang tak beranj makan pickle fish, sebab banyak juga kes keracunan pickle fish belah sana.
Vinusi !! Soooo cute ❤❤❤
Look yumy
I like how she just pours the rest of the soup from her spoon back in the bowl. NICE!!!!!
You should feed them sabahan food next
Lurve Faathin and Vinuji ❤
More appreciation for the kek lapis please, people spend hours making it 😂
Makseh sebab dah cerik barang makan sarawak
People always choose Mee Kolo instead of Pure Kampua Mee, especially Kampua from Sibu made by Fuzhounese. They're the superior version of Wonton Noodle. At a glance they're look like normal Wonton but the ingredients is different.
P/s: No Wonton from Semenanjung ever captured my taste bud to this day. Kampua just built different.
They should have the shrimp umai one😭shrimp umai is so damnn nice. Add with ambuyat😍Melanau here!
Umai is my grow up food and my most fave food
Wow.....I missed Manok Pansoh our traditional dish in Sarawak. 😋👍
Umai is among of my fav...
wooooohhhh...🙋
pertama kali saya makan laksa Sarawak pun terkejut sebab rasa herba yang kuat tapi sedap, sampai ulang makan berkali-kali 😁
7:01 Bukan ubi kayu, tu pucuk ubi.
i love laksa sarawak. kalau makan, bertambah tambah. q
My fav.....laksa serawak❤😊
Wow serawak food i like so good 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 terliur tengok makanan serawak😅😅😅😅
mee kolo u need to taste the ori pork 1.. the ayam 1 is the modified ver for muslim friend
There's more to try! Like Kampua Noodles
Only ms Alana enjoying the food with heart haha
6:21 who the heck serves pansuh like that? 😂
and the umai served with crackers.. but i guess this is new fusssion style...😅
@@bearybear66i reckon they should call it sarawakian fusion instead,, like how Kantin does.. changing the perspective really makes the experience different
it’s so cringeworthy to me seeing them butchering our food and dishonouring our culture 😢
@@CeliaGoh yup.. i couldnt agree more with u.. i believe those umai is made from salmon fish, which is something not usually common..
@@bearybear66 yeah, because salmon is imported.. i dont think it could be obtained easily back in the days.. 🤷🏻♀️
Penang food please !!!! 🙏🏻
umai with crackers? fancyy👀
i went last month to sarawak cultural village (if im not mistaken the name), we served with umai, it was white and extremely good, there is no crackers, is it supposed to be served like that?
@@riesjx A BIG NO. It should be served with rice or linut.
@@riesjx never had i tasted red umai too.. 🤷🏻♀️ ones i had were white.. i guess the marination pretty much differs from families and region so i’m giving them some benefit of doubt.. but serving with crackers? 😂 it feels like the producers are just trying to be bougie 💁🏼♀️
let them try empurau done by good chefs
Umai is out also
how come tempe is in *manok pansoh* ?Eiiii....thats insulting our Sarawakian flavour wise
the semenanjung common mistake that always mix up everything
sumtim its not the semenanjung, sum tend to made things to suit others tastebud like making mee kolok with yellow noodles.I have eaten it in Belawai Sarikei, quite absurb tho
yes.. none of them serve together with ayam pansoh in Swk. Tempe only serves together with nasi ayam penyet or ayam percik
5.25 yup, pretty much like all British food.
Kek hijau tu should be kek lumut.. kaya+nestum+pandai
Kelantan food pleasee
I like the Maldives lady, she can definitely be Malaysian so easily😂
why not mix with sup the mee kolok haha.
Soup version with tons of meat is the best though!
This one part 2 ya haha
Oops : Forgot 2 see the word Sarawak😄😆
Rupa ayam pansuh di sarawak tidak sekuning ni😂😂. We usually will serve in a bowl with soup as we'll
that tajikistan guy is SO CUTE !?
kyojuro meme got me, came out of nowhere...editor spent some hours on this
Also the Laksa Sarawak should have prawn in it..
Am with the squad who don't really good at eating raw fish. Umai..!! Hihi~
I love raw fish but I already stop eating raw fish because we don't have the culture of eating raw fish like the japanese in Malaysia. In Japan, they froze the fish on the ship, process the fish when it landed on land and straight to the plate. All done in a day. In Malaysia, we never know how long the fish has been kept.
@@manalittlesis My mom only make umai if we have newly caught fish(es) on the day. If not, we don't have umai T_T I love umai though.
@@manalittlesis in my place, people only make umai with freshly caught fish, not sure the freshness if it is served in restaurant etc
@@rahmahhussin7869 @DChikaru well if the raw food prepare at home I'm fine. Cooking at home which means it was prepared by someone we know and I'm very sure they too will make sure it was the best fish. What I mean in my comment above is I stop eating raw fish 'outside' but it's my mistake for didn't mention about it.
@@manalittlesis no worries i got you! i think it is commonly understood by the locals to only eat/serve fresh umai. but in commercial world you'll never know hahahha i'm with you, i prefer to eat 'homecook' umai
I thought Alana is wearing FoodPanda T-Shirt
I'm Sarawakian and I just wanna say check the REAL DISH first before you tokok tambah. Lol😌 and the FAATHIN VINUJI kinda annoyed me🙄
Why is the meat in kolok mee... Red? I went to Kuching and have never seen that.
But the meat should be red. I'm Sarawakian. O_o Then again, I eat the original pork flavoured ones. The beef ones are not red, I guess?
each restaurant has their own style
They tapau from Dayang Corner
what kind of cake is spicy bruhhh
❤ laksa srwk .. saya org johor then kawin dgn org srwk .. nak try apa rasa laksa srwk .. dah try, sedap weyy .. suka sangat .. saya johor tp x minat laksa johor ..
laksa sarawak ftw! i love laksa sarawak than mee kolok.
6 years in Malaysia and never eat laksa? Lol
Tempe.. Makan dengan pansuh ayam.. Terbaik mangkuk kalau Di Sarawak.. Soo.. Jangan me nambah nambah pasal makanan kami..
Mana TEPUNG BUNGKUS?!!!!😂😂😂
🙋
nama utai padah kitak nya ndai paham inglish kami tu ar… akai
Kenak ada tempe dengan ayam pansuh? Umai dengan biskut? Pande-pande jak orang Malaya 😂😂😂 Tedahh.. not authentic for you guys😅
They all look like malaysian except alana.😂.
Alice join team balik ke? 🤔
Kan Alana dah masuk islam?? Saya tahu Baru LAGI. Tapi... Yelah
The bright pink chicken 'kolo mee' though 🤮🤮
WOB need improve their knowledge about Sarawak😭 not fair we all sarawakian know more about penisular but you guys never know about us
eh... umai is 12/10 la
Sarawakian is not so tempe 😮
You can only taste real Sarawak food in Sarawak. I just watched till the 2nd dish, kolo Mee. They don’t look like the real thing in Kuching, Sarawak.
the guy munir has been 6 years in malaysia but hasn't any laksa? what has he been eating all these years?
mi segera
idk atp they alrd have malaysian accent hahahahahahahaha.
Nak bagi dia org rasa makanan kena gaul semua baru makan bukan satu satu rasa
mee kolok ayam LOL, ori mee kolok with babi lebih sedap, bagi orang yang boleh makan bagi lah ori version
That does not look like pansoh 😭
That is not the way to eat Laksa Sarawak should give them one bowl each
borneo food (sarawak & sabah) differ from penisular malaysia in taste profile mainly due to lack of spices - which are influenced by spices from Thailand, India and Sumatera island. Whereas, Borneo taste profile is just bland.
guess u never been in the whole part of Sarawak
The only spice that you guys have is pedas and the reason why you think our food is bland is due to your broken taste bud thanks to the spicy foods you've eaten all your life. You people seriously need to be introduced to other taste profile like masin, masam and manis.
it's more complicated, the penisula is a bunch of mix from thai, chinese, india, bangladesh, sumatera, java, western and many more, i usually don't know what they're doing
@@fred1991 i've always wondered, although sarawak produces a large volume of black pepper, these are often exported, and (i think) seldom used in local cuisines of sarawak.
You have not travelled enough then. You need to sample all the food there ASAP!!
The laksa's sup made by what???? Please correct your lousy explanation!
Is that is cake not chilli is kueh lapis is sweet not spicy🤦
But thank eat and rating that food Hai I'm from Sarawak I'm know Bahasa Indonesia
cool la munir, ni jenis makcik kg suka nak buat menantu
How are ya'll not annoyed with Faathin? Every video she just irks me with her non wholesome vibe and the "I'm better than you, everything sucks attitude" Kudos to the rest though, but just ew on Faathin
Pls serve one person one bowl/plate rather than sharing saliva
soup is just condiment. don't put the soup into mee kolok
WTF? Why would you serve manok pansoh (Iban, Bidayuh, etc) with tempeh and other Javanese condiments? 😠 No wonder they thought it looked like ayam penyet, a Javanese dish. Dahlah mee kolok non porky, can you really say that you’re introducing Sarawakian food when you didn’t even try to do it as authentic you could? As a Bornean and Indonesian I take twice the offence 😑
chill u can?
Chill weh.
We are Malaysian, of course it's okay for us to change other race's cuisines but if they ever change ours, we will lose our mind.
Just relax. I'm Sarawakian and I'm not even offended about it. Why Indonesian always busy about Malaysia? Just take care of your own country. The reason they don't serve pork is because Alana was a Muslim. There is no wrong for them to eat pansuh with tempe. Even Sarawakian always creative in their culinary. Muslim Dayak also didn't eat pork for pansuh. Is that unauthentic? Don't say you're Bornean if you can't respect other people religion. Don't busy about Sarawak.
I do second u on the tempeh in manok pansoh. But there’s nothing wrong with non porky mi kolok, since Muslim Sarawakians too who invented the chicken/beef mi kolok.
Screw Alana
Im sarawak but im not really into mee kolok because it tastes like a basic me goreng instant noodle for me and my fav one was laksa and char kue teow ❤
