So I think I see what your getting at (ruclips.net/video/N8kyzDO1_88/видео.html ?), however from a musically standpoint they are not all that similar, excluding the first five notes of main melody, and even still I believe that to be in a different key, needless to say the flute/clarinet (I believe those were the main instruments used, perhaps bassoon and oboe as well?) midsection of the piece, goes into, what I would like to call a minor key, however I'm never really sure my self alas, along with being a much quieter, though not imperative to similarity, and invovling a different. So from own standpoint, based on my limited knowledge of musical concepts, and I would assume that there are those that share my perspective and those that do not, that these pieces are not really all that similar, and that thus, the British Grenadiers March hardly classifies as a ripoff of the March of the Preobrazhensky (video name: March of the Preobrazhensky (Preobrajensky) Life Guard regiment. 1709). I wish to apologize as well on me misunderstanding you previous statement as a joke Yonbally Earlson. P.S. I hope this doesn't like a joke of any sort.
You bring points on the British that I have not heard. Thank you for bringing this to light. Still, part of Britain success is simply, due to it wealth from it's ventures, despite not inventing many technologies, it was able to put a lot more reasorces, mainly those naturly found in the British Isles, such as large amounts of coal, to use in those fields, outcompeting it's competors. It also was very hard to stop Britain in doing so, with powerful navy protecting it's overseas ventures and colonies, and the main British Isles from invasion. However, you must admit that when you say that Britain used the Indians to combat the Mughuls, they still had to face most of the Indian forces combined with the French forces. Only after defeating the French, and pushing them off the continent, were they able to finally deal the crushing blow the Mughuls, with Indian allies you stated, however they probably weren't all that large of powerful (correct me if I am wrong, I have not properly looked into the subject, but rather basing this off the following fact). This is because by the time French were off the continent, and in fact the French and British had gained significant gains in India (as in pre-Seven Years' War significant), the Mughuls were on they're final stretchs, collapsing due to internal issues, caused by and leading to leaders and nobles breaking apart from the {now} fragile empire, take swaths of the land from the empire for them selves with most of this process occuring before, during, and slightly after the Seven Years' War, or as known as in India, the Carnatic Wars. A similar, though not quite identical, process occured in the Americas {North, mainly}, with the notable exception of the Spanish, and of the U.S. idenpendence rather than merely just native forces like in India. With this we can see how the British succeeded, and your points are correct, it was rather good timing and good diplomacy that led to British success.* *Not Greatness P.S. I had thought that at least that part [But being honest when I said rip-off I was being a little... contentious (at the same time joking)] was definitely a joke. If you could, however, add a link to a more fiting version of the Preobrazhensky March/ March of the Preobrazhensky (whichever one it is, that would be most idle to correct terribly flawful mistake.

They even destroyed Japanese ships (see for instance the Battle of Fukuda) and were sending weapons in their bases at Kyushu to the various feudal lords of Bungo and its allies to expand their domains, which ended in the Japanese ceding Nagasaki as a Portuguese colony that lasted for about 50 years until the Dutch expelled the Portuguese almost completely from the Indian Ocean and took control over Japan as the Dutch East India Company's personal colony or semi-colony.
