By the end of the sangoku jidai about 1/3 of all samurai used guns. Guns were extremely popular and prolific to samurai. The bow was always the most important weapon to the samurai and the first one all of them were trained to use. So the gun is a logical improvement. Japan was also likely the first country in the world whose military used primarily firearms.
@@robertharris6092 Didn't Japan become one of the highest gun producing countries at one point? I think they got really good at making them.
@@thepizzafoogle5481 I remember hearing somewhere that at one point Japan had more guns that European powers and had slightly better matchlocks than Europe. Can't exactly confirm it but I definitely remember seeing that somewhere.
A little while ago I did some research into which clans of the Sengoku era still exist and it turns out Shimazu is one of them. The Shimazu family run a pharmacutical business now, apparently, which manufactures hospital equipment.

@@luisitobardajibenitez8013 From what I've read, the Oda family still exists. The current head of the family can trace his bloodline all the way back to Nobunaga himself, apparently. He's an olympic figure skater and for years he lied about his name because he was worried he'd get special treatment if people found out he was an Oda.
The Uesugi and Date families are still around. The current Uesugi head is a famous astronomer and the Date family still has quite a bit of clout in their ancestral homeland.
From what I understand, the biggest reason they're still around is because during the Meiji restoration Daimyo were offered positions akin to a European Duke in exchange for their loyalty.

That mean when matchlok monk get in close combat, matchlok monk Will not resist to enemy because of their armor, but portuguese tercos, heavy Gunner, and matchlok samurai are have good armor, so they can hold their line while in close combat
Asli tercos, heavy Gunner and samurai match are considered samurai unit, that mean they have lower cost and lower upkeep

It's nice to see every video you upload, I'm amazed how you win every battle and counter the AI who seem to back stab you at the end unlike me who does not fit for this game because whenever I lose even in a single battle i quit and make new campaign.
