In fact if it weren’t for hitler declaring war on them, America really would only be dealing with Japan and wouldn’t have any justification to land American boots on European soil.
@@mr.cramps2117 It wasn't even truly one front, because there's a small little lake between North America and Europe, and another tiny little stream between NA and Asia/Oceania. In fact, the only area now considered part of the United States to be attacked was Hawaii. You could make an argument for Guam, of course, but since that's a territory, I don't count it. The US never had to deal with large-scale bombing, like Britain or France, and in fact had to specifically develop their weapons to be highly-reliable, as they were so far removed from the front.
I like how the "Scholarship" tech gives you access to guys who literally just hit people with big sticks and call it a day. Truly the intellectuals of our era.

Fun fact about the opening, Takeda Shingen was actually a Buddhist monk as well as a samurai.
A lot of them wear. Although not identical, many Samurai had oaths to help protect and guard monasteries and the monks with, similar to Western Knights.

@@MuchKoku Once as a Takeda I was outnumbered by 3 to 1. So I just held the bridge and sent a unit of spearman and archers to the river crossing where they killed the 2 cav units of the enemy. When my other army arrived 4 cavalries went to the crossing and attacked the enemy archers in the back. It was full rout in a minute. The same clan tried to pull the same shit for like 3 times after.
Uesugi: We are peaceful! We only build temples and farms.

@@askovtk4834 absolutely. Wonderful to see others who understand this. It was really the same way with chivalry in Europe. Honour and treaties is a good way to keep weak and indecisive lords from stabbing you in the back. Once the Tokugawa shogunate went into full swing, this system was doubled down, where lords had to live in Edo close to the shogun for an extended period of time, both to intimidate them, but also to keep their access to information from their local region limited.

@@Pilps one question, why in the end you attacked shiina clan, i mean i get you wanna leave at the beggining useless allies on stupid fights, or turn against small allies that were used as a distructing bigger ennemies, but a big ally holding up you left flank all the time seems wrong to be attacked just to make your provinces from 80 to 95 ..... was it so you wanted to finish the campaighn in one big scoop or was there any other reason like they would betraying ya at the last moment?

Canonically, there was a time when they would give each other weapons if there's a shortage before they would do battle with 1 another. A testament to true Bushido and Honor of the Samurai Era.

They produce historical, accurate and very beautiful battle recreations and historical topics.
Takeda Shengin and Uesugi Kenshin's rivalry is real and hard but bound by honor and courtesy.

Fun fact, no one is sure if Usegi Kenshin was a man or woman, but he still claimed to be the avatar of the God of War, hence the use of Sohei monks in game.

@@zillafire101 Yeah, he never had Children of his own. Both of his Sons were adopted. Although one of them was also his Nephew, the Son of his Sister, if I'm not mistaken.
Also Kenshin was also know to have a quite a feminine appearance and like stuff that was consider feminine at the time like poetry and novels aimed at women, and calligraphy. So yes Usegi, one of the greatest general of in medieval Japan that he was called the god of war was a femboy

The way diplomacy is implemented, having vassals is usually worse than letting them die, so the Uesugi start is a class on letting people down.
I only create Vassals when i want to feel empowered in humiliating a clan
The ending has a very total war aesthetic into it.
It's all have been a fun ride of epic conquest into uniting Japan (with a heavy extra dose of betrayal) until you reach the end where instead of glorious triumphant you are greeted with bleak realization of your action.
Nothing a bunch of meditating to the glorious Buddha Brudda won't fix! :D
