I don't like savoury things for my first meal. So I eat porridge which is slow releasing carbs and helps me feel full for the rest of the morning ❤ I pair it with fruits

Porridge isn’t slow release… unless u add tons of fibers like flax, chia, psyllium. Anything with softer texture helps ur body to digest and absorb it much easier. Which means those carbs are being digest much easier and the glucose spike will be more enhanced. Adding fruits on top of that… that’s like additional extra sugar, unless it’s a low sugar fruit like green banana.

    So many “erm actually” comments
Y’all realize we don’t care, ya? If we are eating certain foods to the point of getting ill from it but we can’t stop because of emotional reasons or strong habit then we’re calling it an addiction and helping each other as if we were addicted, we can call it something else in the doctors office if differences between casual and medical speech bothers you so much

I hate when influencers start irresponsibly fear mongering/making dumbass health claims lol. 'Balancing your cortisol' oh yeah? what's a catecholamine.

If you have problems like this with blood sugar then you just need to change your diet or maybe you may need medical help. Sugar 'addiction' isn't a real thing your body does need carbs to survive and health is much more important than how much added sugars you eat.

Sugar addiction is real. Sugar releases dopamine and we like dopamine release that makes us happy. Read on it. The relationship between sugar and dopamine is very similar to how it happens in drug abuse. That's why people find it harder to quit sugar.

there is no such thing as sugar addiction. what you're describing is probably just binge eating and ed problems imbalance in diet can also affect this but also if you don't satisfy your cravings over time it can lead to more binge eating like eating an entire cake.

Actually it does exist but it's extremely rare and should be diagnosed by a doctor
