This is definitely worthy of being in the 'greatest' category. The album is perfectly constructed - there are a range of emotions conveyed by songs throughout (compare the ecstasy of 'The 5th Exotic' or the meandering of 'Common Knowledge' or the sadness of 'Time is the Enemy' for example), and while I believe lyrics can make you feel something so punctually, this album does almost the same without _any._ Certainly one of the most tasteful, well-produced, well crafted albums ever... what a masterpiece
Absolute masterpiece! An album that most definitely deserves to be called MASSIVELY underrated. Thanks for uploading this hidden gem! The 90s was such an exciting and experimental time in electronica, it was AWESOME!

I like the hypnotic vibe constant stream of sound landscape for your pleasures let your mind create your canvas any way you wanted, good city tunes for walken.
I am fucking blown away. The production level alone should be complimented, but these are some of the nastiest fucking beats I've ever heard in my life and I've been here for a minute. Fav album of all time contender. Top shelf.
Sometimes I wonder if, if I know where I'm going . I go for a walk like this, and it seems I have been walking for years and years and years. And I don't know where I'm going . I hear the sound leading me on, And I don't know where it is taking me. Sometimes I feel as if I'm getting closer . Like now. Yes, I am getting closer It is . The sound is getting louder.
Has to be some open space out there, headed west, no guessing, beaches near, waves whispering, sands glistening, happy, barefooted, glowind sunset, so there.
It may be starting to work on me, spontaneously arriving to that moment, where the rhythm is slamming, my toes tapping, so what's happening! Some exotic rollover? Crash not worry not.

Would never have guessed this is over 15 years old, it aged well.
Imagine being just 20 years old, with no equipment and making an album of this magnitude in your own room

Favorite tracks: Infinte Regression and In the Key of Blue
I stumbled across trip hop by accident and when I found this album WOW ! Amazing not a bad track on the whole album.
this album was my introduction to the world of lofi
It's one of those things a person has to do; sometimes a person has to go a very long distance out of his way to come back a short distance correctly.
I know, right? You just summed up the human condition. All is meaningful, all is meaningless.
@@nicholastrice8750 Wholesome.

Brilliant especially from 144.40 to 22.30 this track is just great how it slows down .
dont quite get what track you mean?
probably 14:40 - 22:30
Grasping that hold, clinging to the edge, swinging into action, inching over the lip, seizing the right moment, climbing now it is true.
My thoughts, Absolutely!
This stuff is already 15 years old, time really flies ... oh, wait...
don't say that, i have such a tenuous grip on my forever-teenage self image. time really flies ...

Make it a Quantic, straight up, Fifth Exotic, a double bubble at that!
It may be starting to work on me, spontaneously arriving to that moment, where the rhythm is slamming, my toes tapping, so what's happening! Some exotic rollover? Crash not worry not.
Quality musicianship.
Do not point that at me, soaking up Quantic, wide-eyed mystic, logistically challenged!

04. Infinite regression
Here is the painting of a landscape
But the artist who painted that picture says
- Something is missing. What is it?
It is I myself who was a part of the landscape I painted
So he mentally takes a step backward
- or 'regresses' -- and paints...
...a picture of the artist painting
A picture of the landscape
And still something is missing. And that
Something is still his real self
Painting the second picture. So he
'regresses' further and paints a third...
...a picture of the artist painting a
Picture of the artist painting a
Picture of the landscape. And because
Something is still missing, he paints a
Fourth and fifth picture...
...until there is a picture of
The artist painting a picture of the
Artist painting a picture of the
Artist painting a picture of the
Artist painting the landscape
So infinite regression is--
--It is the moment when our artist
Having regressed to the point of
Infinity, himself becomes a part
Of the picture he has painted and
Is both the Observer and the observed
Well, in that peculiar condition
What would he be observing if he were observing
Time?
He would perceive, Mr. Bonds, that Time is like
A freeway with an infinite number of
'lanes'
-- all leading from the past
Into the future. But not into the
Same future. A driver in Lane 'A'
May crash, while a driver in Lane 'B'
Survives. It follows that a driver
By changing lanes, can change his
Future
Mr. Bonds, i think that time can
Fully be understood by an observer
With the Godlike gift of infinite
Regression
Do you believe that?
Absolutely! I think it is the only explanation
31:35 the drums is amazing!
Alguien sabe quien es el baterista?
Where the eyes wander!
