I bought this for my baby when he started sleeping on his stomach. I got so much peace of mind, and it’s held up brilliantly. Well worth the money. I’m so cheap. I splurged on two items. Car seat and crib mattress.
I've had the Newton for the last two years, looks and holds up like the day it was purchased. Happy with our investment. Also love the video as always. Had to give it a watch still because it's always great content. With my son soon to be two, hope to continue seeing more toddler type reviews as you've spoken about before.

Going to be a new dad within the month here, so I cannot comment about the efficacy of the mattress. But what sold me was the wash-ability. All I keep hearing is that kids are messy, and rather than going with any waterproof liner (and the frequently vilified TPU *gasp*), I thought about what you said in the video. The kid will be using this A LOT. Being able to just hose it down if there's a huge mess is piece of mind.
My wife insists on cute bed sheets, which are all 100% cotton at least, but not super-breathable. But if we end up with a face sleeper, we have the option to strip it down and have piece of mind for suffocation risk too.

We’ve had the Newton and have recommended it to friends for their new babies. Fortunately haven’t had to wash it in the tub. Baby girl loves it. Personally bought it for the piece of mind of suffocation. We used the Snoo (which was awesome) up until she was 5 months and transitioned her to the crib with the Newton. Baby is now 18months and she regularly sleeps face down. It’s firm enough for her to jump.
Doesn't the mattress get cold? If the air can move through it freely, in the cold days what barrier is there for the cold air? And how do you keep your baby warm?
We have two of these. They make great crash pads for playing and very bouncy to jump on. Love how easy they are to wash.

I got this mattress for my daughter its been a year and it stills feel like new...I may or may not have slept on it briefly. Really easy to clean really cool in the summer, super comfy well worth the $300+

Great video! We've owned our Newton mattress for 2 years and LOVE it! We're expecting baby #2 and we'll purchase one for this baby as well. It's been super easy to clean, when needed. Breathes easily as advertised and can hold a good amount of weight. I weighed 150 at the time and it didn't dip at all (tested this before baby #1 was born). Love your mention of ABC. That's a great way for new parents and current ones to easily remember safe baby sleeping practices. Keep making great content! God bless bro!

Purchased this mattress for our first son and he loves it. At 5 months he started sleeping exclusively on his stomach , and this gave my wife and I a piece of mind knowing he could easily breath through it. Also, the first couple times sleeping on his stomach he wet through his diaper. Clean up was easy just like he demonstrated in the video.

Great question. We're actually in the process of moving our 3-year old into a twin and deciding which mattress. Possibly even considering a Casper but not certain just yet.
do you know the code for the newton mattress for this year 2021? Also I am going to be buying a Davinci 4 and 1 crib and the Dimensions LxWxH 54.5 x 35 x 42 inches but the newton mattress measurements are 52" by 28". would the extra two inches be the outside measurement of the crib? and 35 is far from 28 inches. that can't be all wood. there would definetly be a space between the newton mattress and the davinci 4 and 1 crib. how am i suppose buy the right mattress to fight the davinci crib i am getting. I like the newton mattress, but i want it to be safe. not for my daughter to fall and hit her head. what am supposed to do??

We got this mattress even before seeing this review but now my wife is concerned about needing some cover/sheets to protect the mattress. The review says everything is washable but she’s concerned about how frequently we might have to do that due to accidents and stuff if we use it as it comes. Can someone share his or her experience?
Newton sells sheets, we use bamboo sheets or Muslim sheets on ours which is also breathable

We went with standard. Our toddler son just puked into it and we unzipped, hosed it down and gave it a wash - turned out fine! I think waterproof is cool but not necessary.

Hey! Do you have any reviews on cribs? And also what crib do you have?
I don't, but really any modern crib will be made to regulated standards so you technically should be fine. We have the Babyletto Lolly and a cheaper one from Delta Children.
I've just watched several of your videos, and one thing that struck me is in the past you have mentioned DockATots and even said they are a good option for cosleeping. Since you are rightly concerned about making sure parents understand how to promote safe sleep, have you considered going back and adding notes about how DockATots ARE NOT safe sleep environments?
I have mentioned that in the past and I was wrong. Over time I've learned new things and have become aware of best practices and mistakes I've made previously. Will be making updates for sure.
A friend of mine unfortunately fell asleep with his daughter on the couch. Shes no longer alive after rolling off him. Scary but great lesson for me.

Heyy! When you zip off the cover you see the mattress, but when I zip off mine it has another cover under it.... Do i keep that one on too? Take it off so it looks like yours??? Thanks!
We got this for our baby and the only downside is our baby literally sleeps face down into it. I guess that’s a testament to how breathable it is but it worries me that it could create a problem when it’s time to switch to another. I have no way of know if it will though so I still highly recommend!
By the time the baby transitions away from a crib sized mattress he/she will already have enough of a reflex to roll over while sleeping.
Echoing what Alex mentioned above, I think by the time you make the transition it won't be as much of an issue and a regular mattress will be alright.

how can you tell which side is for infant and which side is for toddler? I removed the mattress cover to laundry and now i couldn't tell which side is which.

I think it offers decent firmness and support for newborns
Would be interested to know what weight range this mattress is good up to. Our 2.5 yr old likes to jump in bed and she's punched out a couple of mattresses already.
Not really worried about suffocation these days, more keen on lifespan of the mattress.

By thelooks alone the mattress did not seem sturdy enough. However, after getting it for our baby we promptly asked ourselves why was this company not making large mattresses. You can tell right away the material will hold up better than foam or springs.
It'll hold quite well for an active toddler. I can't say with certainly how much it can take before a noticeable sag, but from what I've seen/heard, it 's on par with most other mattress, if not better.
