      figure out to see if the steering link is going to be in the way and also the front axle, I had to cut off my front axel from the frame and extend it 3" and I also dropped the steering linkage 3", its a lot a work but it can be done...good luck@@brockberry8343

    2500rpm plus is a bit too much for cruising. With max load. Engine is happy at 2000rpm power drops hard after 2500 i understand u kinda gota rev it more

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  10 месяцев назад

      Honestly with tuning I have no power drop off till almost 4,500 RPM and I gained four MPG by going from 2000 RPM cruising to 3000, these big rigs just need higher RPMs at least in the mountains from my experience

      @@TDISwaps yea iam sure its a weird dynamic i do get better mpgs around 2200 but iam pushing a semi aerodynamic car . gotten 33mpg with a trailer at about 1800lbs totall weight was 4760. Which barely slowed the car down . trailer was built too be aerodynamic with the car .

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  10 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately it is very uncommon to not have bent valves with a timing jump, there is just no clearance to allow off time

      Besides mine being a mechanical pump and manual trans. You and I have mostly the same setup. I have .260 injectors as well, Dana 60. I'm sitting at about 1900lbs with the body swap and wood deck bed. My egts are like 600C ripping up hill unloaded. It's nice to see your hp estimate as mine is most likely in the same ballpark. But I have no idea. It "feels 😂"like 250hp/350tq.
      I haven't done much lately as I'm trying to sell my house. But I ripped out the AC, because its a convertible, who needs ac and it was in the way of alot of stuff. I thought I would have more room, but it was AC or compound turbo. So I ripped it out before it was a problem.
      I have to drive the SOB across canada soon, and I have a whole tote of stuff still to install. Wheelwells , speedo, washer fluid. Glow. Plug relays. Reroute the coolant after the ac ditch, install the hitch bar. Reclamp some fuel lines, cap light, new seat belts. Clean up the rats nest in the dash and insulate the cab. Oh and attach the hood. Just a day or two of work right.
