I am going to surprise my family with this Pumpkin Chiffon Cake this Christmas. Thanks for the detailed explanation, and your pie crust recipe really helped me to understand my mistakes.. Thank you Aya and your daughter is really cute.
I went to Tokyo! So I`m late watching the video🙇 Recipes that use spices ! I have never eaten in Japan I have to make this!! I was wondering what happened to the child ‥‥Rei-chan seems to love it 🥰
I love a pumpkin chiffon cake with rice flour recipe from Alice Medrich. This one looks great, too. Pumpkin chiffon is delicious! It’s so light and not too sweet!
Hello Aya! This recipe looks wonderful; I will make this Pumpkin Chiffon Cake tomorrow. I do not have a small pan 6", only 9"; how shall I compensate the batter amount please? I do have 6x3 inch pan with no center ring, would that work? Thanks for the beautiful blog.Congratulations!
Thank you!! And thank you for trying a new recipe so early! With regular round cake pans, If the batter is very deep and the pan is too big, it takes a long time to cook through the center and that could dry out the side more. My chiffon cake pan is about 6-7 inches in size, so with a 9" pan, it shouldn't get so deep! If you are using 6", you can bake the rest with a cupcake pan as well. Or all for cupcakes. Adjust the baking time depending on the size of the pans and how deep/shallow the batter is! Hope that helps!
Aya not sure if you know it but please make Tuxedo cake. Here in California I see it in every grocery store and also at Costco. My family loves it but not sure how it's made. Please and thank you!
@@PastryLivingwithAya I would love to see you making it! It's delicious! It's not too sweet with a little tangy from the cream cheese (or mascarpone?) filling and also soft because of the hocolate mousse. Can't wait! 😍
It cooks more evenly with that pan but you can bake with other shapes such as cupcakes, sheet pans, etc. If you are using round pans, it'll cook a lot faster to use 3 pans for 3 layers, for example.
It was canned puree this time. Cut a pumpkin in half, and roast at around 400F until the center cooks through completely. And puree it. I also left a note about it in the video, you can check it there as well!
Happy fall! Enjoy the fluffy pumpkin cake😋 And stay till the end for a little announcement❤

Thank you! I love it too!
Love your videos bc I learn so much! You don't grease your pan right?
Thank you😌 Yes, you don't need to for a chiffon cake pan so that the cake can stick to the side and hold the height after it's cooled.
@@PastryLivingwithAya I remember you saying it but I wanted to make sure, thank you! 🙌😍

I have a bundt cake pan, would that work?

I’d never heard of it actually! I looked it up, it seems very popular. I’ll look more in detail. Thanks for your request!

Do we need that type of pan for chiffon cake?

May I ask your pumpkin puree is DIY or buy ? If DIY , how?
