To the multiple comments on the beam pattern, these headlights have a lever inside the projector section which you can flip to change from eu to uk driving pattern so please stop commenting about it 😬
As people have said dude, the lights look to flick up on right not left. If they are depo or clones of the depo ones there should be a metal lever near the main beam bulb that flicks the tilt the other way to RHD instead of LHD
The car is worth under a grand, all these mods are pointless as they will not help the resale value. £200 lights on a £500 car is pointless but if you're keeping it forever then fair enough spend away
Love you James, you’re just too humble it’s unreal !! You’re like a brother to me now, I watch your videos everyday !! Loving the lighted bro 👍🏾 even that yellow looks 100 times way better that the original ones #SavageGarage
Am I the only one who noticed that the beam pattern is kicking up on the right instead of the left? It could be sorted with adjustment but I looks like you have the Euro spec headlights and not the UK variant.
They're for a left hand drive car. So the lights aim to the right hand side of the road instead of the ditch on the left ORRRR straight into oncoming traffic 😂
Look very nice, the beam pattern is so much better too. I love that the light just cuts off to complete darkness. Rain sounds at the end were great too haha.
*This Astra would be the ideal winter beater for the future cold days! Then you can use it as a daily and review how it's holding up with the fresh engine!* Would store the fiesta for the winter. Those fiestas are pretty sensitive for bad weather (the rust devil of course) so it would be better of in a warm shed or garage until the spring comes! Maybe you can do some videos about how to detail and sell a car on eBay/Craigslist using the 1.2 or 1.8 Corsa therefore? Like what to point out in the add and also some tricks and tips for selling. We know that you wanna drive the 1.8 Corsa a bit so the 1.2 would be ideal for that!
Can you make a video of the light output and cut-off line when driving on the road? And against a wall or something at a distance and driving closer etc. Thanks man
You have really turned what was car bound for he breakers into something great! Love the stuff u have done, keep up the good work! Very interesting that the headlights can be changed to suit right/left hand drive, could be handy when going on holiday.
James! I absolutely love those angel headlights! They look so much better than reflector housings especially with HID or LED bulbs upgraded! They are way brighter and way better!😍 I have a set of projectors for my 2001 Golf GTI and I’m so happy with them especially i’m currently running LED bulbs in so they will be nice and bright!
Hids would be more light output then a leds in projector housing. Cause leds intend to fade off towards the edge of the cutoff where hids don't fade off and your hotspot "center beam" is more focused in the center plus you can see much further down the road when adjusted right.
These look the business James!! Don't worry about the comments.. it's your car and theyre all wrong anyway ;) Ive got a silver MK5 Astra 3 door and this is really making me want to spend money on it and personalise it in the way you've managed to with the MK4.. Never really noticed how smart the MK4 can look until I saw what you've done to this either. Keep it up mate
I may be watching these out of sequence but the dials are no longer white, did you swap out the faulty ones and not film it? Keep up the great bids James.
James you need to address there are supposed to be 3 bolts per headlight, the 3rd bolt is on the tag under the light/behind the bumper, it's used to level the light with the bumper and bonnet but if it's broke because watching this vid just rag them out then the light unit will bounce over bumps.
Had a set of depo angel eyes on my old polo, didn't even need to use the extra wiring in the end, the angel eye rings came on with the sidelights, then with dip / full beam exactly the same as yours
You didn’t HAVE to use the loom and relay, BUT it ensures you get the full battery voltage at the lamp by bypassing the OE (old) wiring and therefore maximises light output
I had those depo lights many moons ago, You can wire the halo’s directly to sidelight loom , the relay is for auto on drl from the switched live. +1 on the uk/euro switch
Are these UK spec? The beam seems to be pointing right rather than left? Looking good but I'd be a bit concerned with the beam spread as they are right now.
I run led bulbs in a standard housing.. some cheap led bulbs do scatter the beam so I've seen and are effectively useless at night, I guess I got lucky with the ones I chose, I have a pair in the dipped beam a pair in the high beam and a pair in the fog lights. I turn all 3 sets on a dark country lane and it's unreal! Can't beat them for the price imho.
First. These headlights are for left hand drive Astra's due to headlight pattern making them an MOT failure and also they are project headlights which require headlight washers to pass MOT as well
Hi, firstly I really like the look of them over the GSI 'style' lights, and secondly, where did you get your gazebo from and how easy is it to take up/down on your own? Thanks
love the dislikes on this channel....you get a really nice guy who has a shed, (amazing) who is not a fully qualified mechanic but is better than some of the ones out there, try's jobs for the 1st time then put's his heart and soul in all weather conditions into giving us some great vids then gets slated by clowns...keep up the good work mate....best wishes from Edinburgh
those angel eye lights look brilliant mate. you inspired me into fitting angel eyes with projectors but im debating if i buy chrome or black? because my mk4 astra van is white and headlights are on the mot which aint far away.
... Was bit afraid you bought one of those very cheap headlights but to be honest these are really good looking one and even yellow angels eyes are okay on them 👍👍👌
Common misconception. All later mk4s had black headlights. Chrome were on the earlier ones. They just get referred to as gsi lights but were never limited to the gsi
You put LED bulbs to this headlights? Very nice white color on the end of video. Is that normal halogen? So white.. Yea.. again no answer from @The Savae Garage
hi, could you help me out? I bought a second hand set of these and fitted LEDs to the rings, they look really cool but after a couple of weeks the LEDs started to flicker which looked crap, they were not cheap either, I decided to fit the normal incandescent bulbs as I don't mind the yellow look and I managed to find some 2.3w versions instead of the normal 1.2w, but when I wired them up they were really dim, now I've just noted from your video that you have an extra bit of wiring with a relay and fuse, and that the wiring seems to come from the angel eye plug, have you any idea what this extra bit of wiring does and if you think that is the problem with mine? also mine is the 8v version and not the 16v, any help would be great.
I thought his Corsa 1.8 has projector style headlights. i know the face lift editions i think its after 06 on the SRI,SXI etc all come with the new angel eyes/ projector style headlights. if not then you can easily fit them on older corsas 2000 - 2006 but they are roughly £60 for a pair
Yeah mate they look good. HID/LED would look eve better and better lights on the road. I have a TS/ Astra G here in Oz. I have the OPC front end and a Audi type head light assembly with projector low beam. I LOVE THIS MODEL ASTRA
Nice mate! I have an i10 and they sold them by the BUCKET LOAD. I wish they made these for my car. But my car is mainly driven by old people and I don't think they will be interested in modifying their Hyundai.
Did you end up putting white leds in these? I'm looking to do the same with the ones on my astra van and could do with some pointers on getting them in there
To the multiple comments on the beam pattern, these headlights have a lever inside the projector section which you can flip to change from eu to uk driving pattern so please stop commenting about it 😬
😂
Did you change the dial metres in your Astra is look black to me then it was white ?????
They are all sad f**ckers who love it when things go wrong mate. You Tube is full of them. They just need a life that's all !!
The corsa for sale yet?
What bulbs you put into this headlights? Very nice white.
As people have said dude, the lights look to flick up on right not left. If they are depo or clones of the depo ones there should be a metal lever near the main beam bulb that flicks the tilt the other way to RHD instead of LHD
those headlight really do change the look of the car, i think wrapping the car in a nice colour is the way to go as the paint has seen better days
Jarrus Killa why would you bother wrapping a mk4 Astra. Wrap would cost more than the car..pointless
The car is worth under a grand, all these mods are pointless as they will not help the resale value. £200 lights on a £500 car is pointless but if you're keeping it forever then fair enough spend away

jamieclayton9 What do you mean?
jamieclayton9 they are eu variant, should fail on mot.
@@liviu2004 Hopefully he knows before the mot 🤣
They're for a left hand drive car. So the lights aim to the right hand side of the road instead of the ditch on the left ORRRR straight into oncoming traffic 😂
JohnnyDub 😂
Look very nice, the beam pattern is so much better too. I love that the light just cuts off to complete darkness. Rain sounds at the end were great too haha.
Saying the new Head Lights is much better is an understatement .They look awesome.

Where is the video?? I would like to see how good these headlights are :) The beam pattern, cuttoff line etc.
You have really turned what was car bound for he breakers into something great! Love the stuff u have done, keep up the good work! Very interesting that the headlights can be changed to suit right/left hand drive, could be handy when going on holiday.
They've totally transformed the look of the car, looks great!
It looking gd keep it up can't wait to see if it fly's through the mot
James! I absolutely love those angel headlights! They look so much better than reflector housings especially with HID or LED bulbs upgraded! They are way brighter and way better!😍
I have a set of projectors for my 2001 Golf GTI and I’m so happy with them especially i’m currently running LED bulbs in so they will be nice and bright!
I am lovin these angel lights, they make the car look aggressive, with the right bulbs in they look the part, good choice bud.
They look spot on mate next project I think is vectra b or vectra c
Vectra c face-lift
Hids would be more light output then a leds in projector housing. Cause leds intend to fade off towards the edge of the cutoff where hids don't fade off and your hotspot "center beam" is more focused in the center plus you can see much further down the road when adjusted right.

They are a great upgrade. Nice aggresive look to the front.
I may be watching these out of sequence but the dials are no longer white, did you swap out the faulty ones and not film it?
Keep up the great bids James.
Not the biggest fan of aftermarket lights, especially angel eyes, but these look pretty nice!
Easy to swap original ones back ;)
@armadillo platypus it's all a matter of opinion, he did state that, many, many times :) Opinions are like arse holes, everyone's got one 😂
James you need to address there are supposed to be 3 bolts per headlight, the 3rd bolt is on the tag under the light/behind the bumper, it's used to level the light with the bumper and bonnet but if it's broke because watching this vid just rag them out then the light unit will bounce over bumps.
just a side note. not sure if you can just change the angle eye bulbs but the normal projector bulbs can be changed for led
Loving the content on the Astra and your lights look epic on the Astra as its given it a more of a youthful look
Headlamp look great cannot wait to see them with hid bulbs. 😎
neil hibbert He's going with LED's not HID's
They improve that Astra loads it’s crazy how small things makes a massive difference
Why hasn't this guy got more subscribers, Love the daily vids James, keep them comin :)
Each to their own.
Had a set of depo angel eyes on my old polo, didn't even need to use the extra wiring in the end, the angel eye rings came on with the sidelights, then with dip / full beam exactly the same as yours
I've been dying to to this to my cabby, I have to get a respray 1st but God danm they look good brother ! keep it up man, learning loads from these !
You didn’t HAVE to use the loom and relay, BUT it ensures you get the full battery voltage at the lamp by bypassing the OE (old) wiring and therefore maximises light output
nice, I've just brought a MK4 astra myself I'm inspired to change the headlights to projectors now and change the front grill
wow back it up there, the white dials have gone black! new instruments to fix the intermittent reading issues?
Totally awsome upgrade looks nicer and practical. Love Astras.... Your's is coming on nicely keep going 👍👍👍
I never knew astra might look that aggressive. Cheers mate
I had those depo lights many moons ago,
You can wire the halo’s directly to sidelight loom , the relay is for auto on drl from the switched live.
+1 on the uk/euro switch
Keep up the good work pal, enjoying watching these videos 👍🏻
Got a set of oem Renault clio 2 phase 2 xenon headlights with ballasts and lights. Best purchase ever.
These look so clean! Definitely going to get them for my Astra:)
That looks quite good. I like it. It really looks quite aggressive. I also noticed you changed the speedometer.
Love these new headlights, looks absolutely brilliant! 👍🏼
I think the new ones make it look more modern.
Look decent an makes it a bit more modern an the main thing is that you like them so keep up the great work 👍🏻
they are very good looking the Astra is coming along so well ! I wish there was an out of box projection headlight conversion for my rover 45
With those angel lights in now it looks like it could turn into a transformer at any time lol... they look good though nice job 👍🏻
I was doubtful at first, but man that looks mean!
The Astra really starting to look grate now good vid love the new lights
Hi I'm customizing a transit so love seeing the little mods which I can add to my van CHEERS
RC 24/7 what are you doing to it
I think it’s a 100% improvement! I’d love a set for my Mondeo, where did you buy them?
wow,love those AE😍
Love the lights bit also love the old ones and thinking of ordering some of your old ones for my astra
I love the Astra 😍
lights look ace mate, job well done!
First. These headlights are for left hand drive Astra's due to headlight pattern making them an MOT failure and also they are project headlights which require headlight washers to pass MOT as well
Very enjoyable video as always. And the lights look great!
these are absolutely class looking really wish i had got a set for my astra 😍👌🏻
Where do you buy your parts ?
Would have also liked to see the full install.
Hi, firstly I really like the look of them over the GSI 'style' lights, and secondly, where did you get your gazebo from and how easy is it to take up/down on your own? Thanks
Love the head lights make it looks a lot more better led would look sweet
Pleasing mod, well done James.
Are you going to replace the yellow indicator bulbs with chrome bulbs?
love the dislikes on this channel....you get a really nice guy who has a shed, (amazing) who is not a fully qualified mechanic but is better than some of the ones out there, try's jobs for the 1st time then put's his heart and soul in all weather conditions into giving us some great vids then gets slated by clowns...keep up the good work mate....best wishes from Edinburgh
I had similar on my Veccy, there are 4 capless bulbs per halo and a proper pain to replace
What bulbs did you use mate?
Nice lights. Can't help noticing the bad paint on the front bumper, makes it look bad. No doubt you'll sort that when you can and it'll be mint.
Looking forward to seeing the LED bulbs in there, they’ll just finish it off nicely.
I really like them lot
They suit the car
Keep up the good work
The lights look very impressive, well done.
That's exactly what I want to do to my astra buy my astra it's an estate and it looks awesome
have the same car and i will change it on the weekend. looks so nice
What a difference night and day mate well done 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
those angel eye lights look brilliant mate. you inspired me into fitting angel eyes with projectors but im debating if i buy chrome or black? because my mk4 astra van is white and headlights are on the mot which aint far away.
... Was bit afraid you bought one of those very cheap headlights but to be honest these are really good looking one and even yellow angels eyes are okay on them
👍👍👌
Hi can you do a projector with led bulbs video as want to get leds in my projector just want to see what they look like. thanks
Man, it looks awesome!!
Very nice. I've been looking at these for my zafira but I'm not sure if they're available
Common misconception. All later mk4s had black headlights. Chrome were on the earlier ones. They just get referred to as gsi lights but were never limited to the gsi

I like angel eyes... but DOT regulation beam pattern? Likely to fail due to lack of 'kick up.'
My headlight will arrive tomorrow 😄 same swap as you did 😁
The use of projectors doesn't mean you can fit non-type approved LED retrofits.
Great video. Love that style of lights!!
Hello mate random question I know some of your cars are quite old but have you ever fancied a classic car? And if so what project would you have.
Look good, nice mod freshens up front end by taking few years off. Got some depo v3 on our bmw 3 series, really good lights
Should get the black tail lights now to match that black angel lights m8 good job
How did you take out that headlight motor? I changed headlights on my Vauxhall Tigra A but without that motor and the lights are too low.
They look great mate
They look really good
Actually quite like the look of them James.
Have you still got this car? Just fitted some to my van would be cool on a run down.
Those lights are looing good. They'll be even better once you've got LED bulbs fitted.
Yeah mate they look good. HID/LED would look eve better and better lights on the road. I have a TS/ Astra G here in Oz. I have the OPC front end and a Audi type head light assembly with projector low beam. I LOVE THIS MODEL ASTRA
Did you manage to change the angel eyes to white? Sorry if you already answered. 😉
Nice mate! I have an i10 and they sold them by the BUCKET LOAD. I wish they made these for my car. But my car is mainly driven by old people and I don't think they will be interested in modifying their Hyundai.
Got to get some for the old g they look awesome.

Good job again James I really like the headlights I don't think the two chavie they look pretty good keep up the good work mate
Looks like a real angel :D
