I want to make a witnessing Bible... about Salvation, etc to have handy if i ever meet anyone who wants to know about Jesus. I can give to them and it would have verses marked to answer their questions

There is a man last name Larsen he researched wrote the documentaries The Star of Bethlehem and Christ Quake. One idea would be to take notes of each Bible Verse cited within them, then model this format in a Bible to gift the person to whom you are ministering.

I got my daughters together and we all made one. We worked on it for several hours and still want to add more. One tip is to use less washi tape it can be used on the bottom of the page and looks just as good. Thank you for the inspiration! I bought a bean bag “prayer chair” where I do devotionals and pray. My prayer life was getting very repetitive and this prayer Bible has helped so much! God bless you sisterritas! 💕🙏🏻

I started Theme Bibles by inspiration from God in 2017. I have 7 so far: one per year. I don’t think I’ll be doing anymore unless God instructs me differently because I ended up this 7 years with the theme,Prayer. 7 being The Perfect number, I feel this part of my journey is complete but just working in and through those Bibles now will be the focus in Prayer.

Also, I will probably use my Bible train method. Put your first tab as directed at the end of the first verse. Write the second verse go to the second verse in right the third verse so on and so on this will save on tabs. You can also write your subjects in the back of your Bible, and start with the first verse that will begin the Bible train.

@@machitect start with a verse. At the end of that verse, write the second verse (book, chapter, verse, )go read the second verse then write the third verse and so on… Bible train or Bible chain
This is a great idea!!! So an example You basically write “Jer 24:7” after the Ezekiel 36:26 verse to make it easier to look for the next verse for that topic. Thank you for sharing!!!

@Mom2joshuar yes! I am so looking forward to starting this. I have really grown in my walk with Christ in the last year, and I feel excited to learn more. I have needed to learn how to pray. It's funny, I feel like I've enrolled in school in a way. I am finishing up with university at 31 years old and feel like I am moving onto graduate school for Jesus !
I have ordered a small compact bible to make myself a prayer bible. I have believed myself to be Christian my whole life but have wrestled with lots of questions, etc. I've been reading my bible chronologically recently (1st time actually reading the whole bible), but I feel like I struggle with prayer. I'm so excited to make my own prayer bible to help me find words that speak more of what I'm feeling without lots of fumbling along. ❤ thank you for your videos!
I like to match my highlighter with my tabs as far as color goes😊
If you’re struggling to make tabs it sometimes easier to take a tab in the shape that you want trace on top of scrapbook paper and then cut it out and either tape it or glue it where you want it to go❤
I am thinking of using some of my punches and doing some die-cuts for this. It's a great way to use up those ever-present scraps, too. I also have a die set with several tab shapes which I can use but I want to use butterflies and flowers too. I have a lot of decorative gift bags which are made of quite tough paper - some are quite glittery or metallic and I have been wondering what to use those lovely papers for!

I was sent here, from following a Bible Journaling page and I cannot explain but this is definitely something I needed to hear, I find it so hard at times to find reading/praying. I'm early in my motherhood years, where my kids take all my energy but I'm so excited to get started on this ❤
This isn’t for everyone, it’s too much (chaotic) for me, but I can appreciate the VALUE. So wonderful!
Maybe there is someone out there that has an extra bible to give you. Something like a journal already finished.
Maybe if you used all the same theme of tabs..like solid green, potted plant paper, cactus, ferns, etc or matching color in floral, different colored gingham …too many different colors or patterns can seem overwhelming.
I use a little baby powder on the back of anything sticky I don’t want to cover! It also lets me not have to add extra thickness by covering the excess tape. I’m certainly enjoying this series!!

This is good idea because I started my prayer bible already and bought ribbon and glued it in. Now I have a few pages sticking together. Im going to try the baby powder suggestion. Thank you God bless

That's what I do too. I make albums and do other mixed media work, and often pages will stick together, and there are many other situations in the studio where this tip is useful. Baby powder is the best!! Isn't this series fun? So creative, and with such a strong spiritual foundation too. My prayer life has definitely been adrift lately and starting on this project is going to get me back on track again. I have a compact Bible on order now! It will also be a nice small Bible to take to Church on Sunday evenings as my usual one is quite large.

Great video. A great tip is to use a piece of waxed paper or reuse a piece of acetate packaging instead of the paper. It allows for easier release. Thank you and bless you.
I know this is an old video. But you can also use corn starch to get rid of the sticky stuff on ribbon. Or any kind of gluey stuff and then brush it off the access off. So you don't see the corn sdarch. Just put a piece of paper between the pages, brush it on. Brush up and then use something that doesn't have cornstairs on it and brush it off. And you'll never even see the corn starch and that takes care of the stickies. Baby powder also works

Also, you mentioning that you pray to Jesus and using his name over and over actually made me smile and reminded me of what I learned this morning.
1. When the angel tells Mary she will call her son Emmanuel/Immanuel it is more of a title (like saying, “Mr. President”) and means a variety of things like “King of Kings,” “God with Us,” and “Almighty God.”
2. Yeshua is the Hebrew and Aramaic name Jesus would have actually been called. Yeshua means “YHWH is salvation” or “YHWH saves.” “YHWH” is God, I didn’t add the English vowels because there seems to controversy on how to pronounce it.
3. Abba is Aramaic for “father” and what Yeshua and many others of the time referred to God as during prayer (also their earthly fathers).
Just tuning in. I started my Prayer Bible last night and I was thinking that I’m going to need so many tabs. I went to Walmart last night and bought a few packs. Using colored pencils is a great for highlighting scripture. I was finding all the different markers and highlighters that I was trying was bleeding through.
Brilliant! I’ve used colored Pencils for years. They’ve ever failed me yet!

I have a beautiful little leather-bound Sidur which was given to me by a lovely old gentleman who was a cantor in the Synagogue and a dear friend. At a pro-Israel conference once, he and I sang numbers from "Fiddler on the Roof" together - his portrayal of Tevye was unforgettable. Such happy memories. He loved and served God but sadly died without recognising Yeshua as his Messiah.
I was brought up in the Anglican Church and although I am no longer with them, I love to pray the prayers from the old Book of Common Prayer which are so beautiful. Also to sing all the beautiful Bible-based hymns from that tradition, which I grew up with.
I started subscribing as a Sisterita only yesterday!
I use a powder bag to get rid of the stickiness on the back of lace or any other Washi tape that is exposed. I purchased it from Scrapbook company. Works great. Not messy.

(I create junk journals currently) I recently was talking to God and realized I wanted to spend more time in His Word so when I saw your vid I was like Oh My Gawsh! I can spend time with God’s Word and be creative while doing it! So I ordered a beautiful Bible , hilighters, and tabs on Amazon for morning delivery and just received them. The Bible is gorgeous and when I opened it , I teared up. I’m excited to be a Sisterita and to continue on a creative, inspiring journey with God in His Word. Thank you for the inspiration!

Thank you so much. I probably would’ve messed up the lace washi tape on the Bible. I love your blue shimmer tabs and it just gave me an idea. If I have extra tabs for a color that I already used I think I’m going to try painting them with a pretty sparkly nail polish or even buy some cheap ones that aren’t so pretty and paint them. 😊

I am so delighted that the Lord led me to your channel. I have a compact Bible on order from Amazon and some highlighter pens too - things have moved on a lot in recent years and it's great to know you can get bleed-proof ones now. My prayer life has been adrift for some time and when I saw what you were doing, something clicked for me and I just knew this was the way to go. Also, being a creative person (I make albums and mixed media art as well as many other things) with a studio full of beautiful papers, cutting dies, punches and so on, this will be a way to combine my creativity with my faith in a different way.
I have a lift to Church on Sunday evenings as I do not drive. I have a disability and find it difficult to sit on a regular chair for any length of time but cannot take my wheelchair as most of the lift providers haven't got suitable cars to carry it, so I go with my crutches. I have to take a cushion and that pretty much fills my cross-body bag (need to make a bigger one!!) and my regular Bible is so big that there's hardly room in the bag for it as well. A compact Bible is a great idea, and I am sure that as time goes on I shall be able to share with people what its primary purpose is. When people see how pretty it will be with alll the tabs (and I intend adding beads and tassels and other boho embellishmens!) people are bound to ask, and it will be a lovely way to share a new way to focus one's prayer life. In any situation, a beautiful Bible like that would be a great witnessing tool, too.

I'm a 1st timer to your channel. I'm a sister in Christ and WOW I love this idea!!!! I've been struggling to figure out how to have a central prayer book to pray for family, friends and general requests. I use postcards; however, they're all in a zip folder and they are cumbersome to organize. I love this idea and will definitely create a prayer bible asap. I'm ordering a compact bible and tabs today. I'll incorporate my postcards somehow into this prayer bible if I can. 😃

I have been working on my Prayer Bible and have been enjoying the entire process. My Prayer Bible is focusing on Daily Prayers, the theme of Prayer, and Walking With God. This is going to be my first of several.
While working on my Bible, I was inspired to get a second Prayer Bible started for my aging Aunt and Uncle. My Uncle is critically ill and being 90 years of age, he knows his life on Earth is coming to a close. I talk to them often by phone and have not seen them since 2018. Both my Uncle and my Aunt ask me to pray each time we talk, or when we email. I am now going to give them a Prayer Bible to use for their prayerful needs, especially during those trips to doctors or the hospital. I will also write several of my own prayers for them and will glue them into their Prayer Bible.
I can't thank you enough, Jess, for all of your generosity and guidance -- without your efforts and your video that was placed before my eyes a few days ago, I would not have thought of making a 'special' Bible! ❤

Use what you have! You can use stickers or even card stock paper and use that to make tabs!!!

So I by chance I came across your video....got to 13min and paused it. Ran to collect all my washi. Didn’t have your pretty lace washi but found 🧡 washi and proceeded to follow you with your scriptures. Which were spot on for those that need a softened heart.
