Hi Jessica I thought that I would share with you something so cool...as I have been finding scriptures for my prayer bible, I had pages of verses. My kids saw their names and became curious. My 10 year old was curious enough to grab her bible and look things up. There were some purity verses in there so we were able to talk about what God wants for his kids. For each verse I was able to explain to the kids things that I was asking God to do in their lives. This is a huge blessing to have my kids become more interested in the bible. I have reminded my kids many times over that they were answers to my prayers for many years and that they are huge blessings to me.
I’m most likely joining this late but I am loving the process. This is so relaxing and it feels so good to spend more time in the Bible and with the Lord Thank you for making this content
Grief should be included as well; at least I'm adding it to my prayer Bible which I'm about to start on. I've lost two grandbabies and need grief scriptures very badly. Thank you for sharing; this is the first time I've seen anything like this. I'm eager to start on my prayer Bible.

Thank you so much for this series. It's been transformational for me. I created a category for seeking wisdom and guidance. Here are the verses I used: Proverbs 3:5-6; James 1:5; Psalms 32:8; Proverbs 2:6, Psalm 119:5; Isaiah 30:21; Psalm 24:4-5; Psalm 143:10; Isaiah 58:11, and Matthew 7:7-8.
I have finally determined my categories and found the best 8 verses for each one. I chose no more than 8 because my tabs have 8 of each color. My categories are, in case anyone is interested are ) Revival or living in times likes these 2) Anxiety 3) Work and Provision 4) Spiritual Warfare 5) Salvation 6) Protection 7) Healing 8) Praise 9) Comfort 10) Resisting evil influences and 11) Gods love. I added the anxiety primarily for one of my sons and the resisting evil influences for another son who struggled. I will also add tabs for daily prayers and verses that are particularly meaningful but don’t really fit a category. Thanks for the I spirati9n!
Thank you so much! I used almost all of these! I didn't need the anxiety one, but I added parenting for myself and my kids who have children, guidance (for when we have to make decisions), and joy (both for seeking it and for a form of praise).
If you want some inspiration from someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, I suggest looking at “peace” as a verse theme, when you are looking for more ideas in the future. I like to add things to the mix, rather than removing stuff that is too much. It focuses more on what is desired than what is what one considers negative. I do love your theme of comfort as a theme that I will be using for my own prayer Bible. It’s a beautiful connection between peace and comfort. I hope you find this post helpful, and I hope that I’m not stepping on your toes.
I purchased 3 of the tab sets from Walmart that you currently use and they are the longer ones. I cut them in half to give myself more tabs. Just thought I’d share for anyone buying large tabs. If you cut from the top (colored part) down to the clear half it works best. God bless.
I did the same thing. I also started cutting off part of the clear sticky tab to make it shorter, cause I like shorter tabs and I realized that I can place that cut off clear section on the opposite page if I would need it for the same theme tab, instead of having the same color tab on the reverse page. I just place it at the top on the Bible page where the (same theme) tab is on the opposite page and right the theme. I hope that makes sense. It just saves on tabs.
How funny, I did the same! I was able to cut in half and in my slight OCD, I carefully cut a curved edge on the cut side so they would be the same and look natural 😅
Going to request again that you start a facebook group so we can all share our themes and verses! ❤ When i first saw your pilot video on this series shortly after it came out i scoured the internet for anyone else who had done this for inspiration. I came up empty handed. I posted in one of my fb groups and everyone was in agreement with what an amazing idea this is. I love that im seeing fb posts and youtube videos daily on this now. Just had to let you know that today when I was trying to print the themes for when I start putting together my prayer bible my printer started acting up horribly which it has never done before. I kept trying to print it and it was doing some weird stuff and not printing correctly and giving me a hard time. I imagine that was the work of the enemy! But I persisted and found a way around to make the pages print correctly :) Another reminder that God always wins!
The Lord led me to your channel and I keep watching these videos. My husband bought me a new compact Bible and it arrives tomorrow!! I simply cannot wait to make my prayer Bible!! I will be using scrapbook paper and stickers because I have plenty of those and can’t afford a bunch of tabs. Love this idea. I understand your process of making it, but can you tell us how you would walk through this Bible in your prayer time? Do you hit all of the tabs? Do you pick one tab to pray for the day? I'm not sure I understand how you do it.
I am so excited! I have been feeling lead to focus on the Lord’s Prayer- I have several (9)scriptures about God being our Father, then more on the fact that He is in heaven, then some on His name being Holy. Tomorrow I want to research verse on His kingdom and His Will on earth. Etc. So the Lords Prayer is my theme- but it will have 6 sub themes. I am still figuring out how I will do this but I am excited about it. I want to grab a cute Bible and start highlighting- but I feel like I am painting a room- and I have a pretty paint color picked out, but it’s important to tape the room off etc (all that important prep work) first… this getting my themes together and deciding which verses is so important before I start tabbing. ❤😀
One question I did not hear was, are you adding verses to the themes after you get started during the year. Do you recommend that every year you change and create a new “Prayer Bible”? If not every year, how long would you use one “Prayer Bible” before changing. Maybe it would be more about switching out the verses in each theme? Do you have a notebook for recording requested prayers and then answered prayers? I love this question! I was thinking about that, too. I wondered about using some of that post it paper I've seen for Bible Journaling. You could add prayer requests to that and post it inside the bible and check them off as answered??? Not sure. . . just beginning to thing this through. Question ➡️ In some theme categories I have 20 verses or more. Is that realistic number of verses, Or is it too many? Would it result in way too many tabs? (I am making cardstock tabs and have 17 themes.) How many verses per category do you have? I am in my mid 50’s and was praying for a way to strengthen and refresh my intercessory prayer life. I have all my supplies to begin, and I’ve got a small notebook where I’ve headed each page with a Theme, and listed below a number of bible verses for that theme. I’m ready to start the tabbing process, BUT…I think I have too many themes! In your opinion, what should the maximum number of themes be for our prayer bibles (or a good range to follow) ? How do you limit your themes to get the most impact without overkill? Thank you in advance. PS…in just the past week since I found your channel, it is amazing how your number of subscribers is just growing and growing! You’ve started a wonderful thing here and have encouraged us all to be more intentional in our prayers by using Bible verses to help connect our prayers with supporting scripture. Hello Sisteritas, Brotheritas, Mommyritas all over the world. 😊 just wanted to say a big big thank you for all the time you put in your videos. You popped up last Thursday and I’m all in. Love the prayer bible. I started a prayer binder a couple weeks ago but I didn’t feel that connected with god like I do with the prayer bible. I also have a few bibles 😅. Different languages ( German, English, Spanish because I love Mexico) and translations. Of course I have a study bible but it’s a big one. I also have smaller ones which are perfect as a prayer Bible. It feels so good to pray this way, to get closer to god speaking his words in a prayer. To me it feels like the conversation between god and I is deeper. If that makes sense 😊. It gives me so much joy to see and hear your excitement to spend time with god and be creative. God bless you. The Rita's part is what I didn't understand 😢...but in Spanish & other languages they do add an ending if ita no maybe that? Sorry I kept asking. I'm getting excited about starting a prayer Bible and have been looking for giant print in not too humongous a Bible like the nkj version i have now but since I don't get out much I can have a larger Bible. I love that you're making one for Lillian so after this one I msy just do one for one of my granddaughters & see how that goes. Excited. I would love the gold & embossed looking tabs but I can add them later. I'm on a journey here and adding actual scriptures to my prayers was sent by God through you to change my prayer life. I purchased both the Compact Leaf Bible (Jessica shows) for myself & a Large Print Thinline Bible for a friend. I love them both. The compact is very small font and will work since I'm highlighting a couple verse to see. It would be difficult for me to use as a reading/studying Bible. The Thinlne font is great for using as your Prayer Bible and/or study Bible. It's similar in thinness like the compact just a little larger in height and length. I hope this makes sense & is helpful. ❤
These vides on creating a Prayer Bible have blessed me so much! I have been wanting to pray specific prayers for my kids and this has really helped narrow that down and keep them all organized. Thank you for your work!!!

Also after changing my mind 3 times I got my bible tonight. Now that i look at this beautiful bible I can see my new tags wont work so returning those and will start over. The process of preparing to make the journal is part of this eternal journey. If that makes sense.

Thank God for your sharing especially the long list of bible verses, it sure save us a lot of time to come up with this list. This project is very interesting and meaningful. The only thing is I have searched many places including amazon for the mini tabs, they don't seem to have many designs like yours anymore. Only a few choices. Also, i think it is more expensive overall to buy all the enough tabs than the bible itself, lol.

You could also stencil and colour on to a mini white tab. I just got a pack of 80 mini white tabs from Amazon and will stencil hearts, stars, butterflies, etc.

I was somewhat discouraged yesterday when I was looking on-line for a Pastor speaking or message. I couldn’t find one to listen to. But in my search your channel popped up! It looked promising and intriguing since I had never heard of a Prayer Bible? My prayers were answered! I now am working on this project and I had to order the tabs. I already have a Bible I can use for this! In her previous videos she shared that once you start using your prayer bible on a frequent basis, you kind of get to knowing which color/design is for which theme. She writes the theme beside the actual tab on the page where the verse has been highlighted (not just once, but for every tab for that theme). I saw someone write a comment on a previous video about creating a sort of table of contents / legend in the front cover showing each tab with its theme written next to it ( I loved this idea and am using it in mine). I guess we should do what works best for ourselves. I'm using some simpler pastel colored tabs and I know I won't be able to remember what's what, so a legend is going to come in handy for me. I’ve thought the same thing and am thinking about how I can create a key using extra tabs that I can keep in the front or back of my prayer bible. I haven’t fully thought it out yet though.
You don’t understand how much of a blessing you and you videos have been for so many! Thank you for this great idea. One suggestion I would like to give, if you don’t mind… I do enjoy listening to you as I do chores around the house but if you can hold up your written Bible verses up to the camera for a good few seconds for people to screen shot the verses so we can do it on our free time if we cannot follow along with you, that will help tremendously. Wow! This is when I really love being a Catholic!! We have prescribed readings for every single day of the year, and every day, every single Catholic in the world reads the same readings. We have Liturgical Years A,B, and C for the Gospels. The other daily readings come from the OT. The unity this gives us is amazing. The daily sacrifice of the Holy Mass is a gift Jesus gives us. It is a daily reminder that we can place our sins at the foot of His cross, and He has already taken those into His Sacred Heart. While I take notes in the margins of my Bible, and underline special verses, I wouldn’t know what to do with a Bible with decorations all over it. The Bible is the Word of God, God’s Holy Word. No decorations are needed.
I like the name sisterita it's almost the word senorita in Spanish meaning a young unmarried girl. I love how you made your prayer bible I will be doing mine soon. Just had to let you know that today when I was trying to print the themes for when I start putting together my prayer bible my printer started acting up horribly which it has never done before. I kept trying to print it and it was doing some weird stuff and not printing correctly and giving me a hard time. I imagine that was the work of the enemy! But I persisted and found a way around to make the pages print correctly :) Another reminder that God always wins!

The Lord led me to your channel and I keep watching these videos. My husband bought me a new compact Bible and it arrives tomorrow!! I simply cannot wait to make my prayer Bible!! I will be using scrapbook paper and stickers because I have plenty of those and can’t afford a bunch of tabs. Love this idea. I understand your process of making it, but can you tell us how you would walk through this Bible in your prayer time? Do you hit all of the tabs? Do you pick one tab to pray for the day? I'm not sure I understand how you do it.

I am so excited! I have been feeling lead to focus on the Lord’s Prayer- I have several (9)scriptures about God being our Father, then more on the fact that He is in heaven, then some on His name being Holy. Tomorrow I want to research verse on His kingdom and His Will on earth. Etc. So the Lords Prayer is my theme- but it will have 6 sub themes. I am still figuring out how I will do this but I am excited about it.
I want to grab a cute Bible and start highlighting- but I feel like I am painting a room- and I have a pretty paint color picked out, but it’s important to tape the room off etc (all that important prep work) first… this getting my themes together and deciding which verses is so important before I start tabbing. ❤😀

One question I did not hear was, are you adding verses to the themes after you get started during the year.
Do you recommend that every year you change and create a new “Prayer Bible”? If not every year, how long would you use one “Prayer Bible” before changing.
Maybe it would be more about switching out the verses in each theme?
Do you have a notebook for recording requested prayers and then answered prayers? That would be another great book to rejoice and praise Jesus about❤️✝️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼

I love this question! I was thinking about that, too. I wondered about using some of that post it paper I've seen for Bible Journaling. You could add prayer requests to that and post it inside the bible and check them off as answered??? Not sure. . . just beginning to thing this through. Question ➡️ In some theme categories I have 20 verses or more. Is that realistic number of verses, Or is it too many? Would it result in way too many tabs? (I am making cardstock tabs and have 17 themes.) How many verses per category do you have?

Hello, I’ve been enjoying this series so much! I have all my supplies to begin, and I’ve got a small notebook where I’ve headed each page with a Theme, and listed below a number of bible verses for that theme. I’m ready to start the tabbing process, BUT…I think I have too many themes! In your opinion, what should the maximum number of themes be for our prayer bibles (or a good range to follow) ? How do you limit your themes to get the most impact without overkill? Thank you in advance.

Hello Sisteritas, Brotheritas, Mommyritas all over the world. 😊 just wanted to say a big big thank you for all the time you put in your videos. You popped up last Thursday and I’m all in. Love the prayer bible. I started a prayer binder a couple weeks ago but I didn’t feel that connected with god like I do with the prayer bible. I also have a few bibles 😅. Different languages ( German, English, Spanish because I love Mexico) and translations. Of course I have a study bible but it’s a big one. I also have smaller ones which are perfect as a prayer Bible. It feels so good to pray this way, to get closer to god speaking his words in a prayer. To me it feels like the conversation between god and I is deeper. If that makes sense 😊. It gives me so much joy to see and hear your excitement to spend time with god and be creative. God bless you. The Rita's part is what I didn't understand 😢...but in Spanish & other languages they do add an ending if ita no maybe that? Sorry I kept asking. I'm getting excited about starting a prayer Bible and have been looking for giant print in not too humongous a Bible like the nkj version i have now but since I don't get out much I can have a larger Bible. I love that you're making one for Lillian so after this one I msy just do one for one of my granddaughters & see how that goes. Excited. I would love the gold & embossed looking tabs but I can add them later. I'm on a journey here and adding actual scriptures to my prayers was sent by God through you to change my prayer life. I purchased both the Compact Leaf Bible (Jessica shows) for myself & a Large Print Thinline Bible for a friend. I love them both. The compact is very small font and will work since I'm highlighting a couple verse to see. It would be difficult for me to use as a reading/studying Bible. The Thinlne font is great for using as your Prayer Bible and/or study Bible. It's similar in thinness like the compact just a little larger in height and length. I hope this makes sense & is helpful. ❤

Also after changing my mind 3 times I got my bible tonight. Now that i look at this beautiful bible I can see my new tags wont work so returning those and will start over. The process of preparing to make the journal is part of this eternal journey. If that makes sense.

Thank God for your sharing especially the long list of bible verses, it sure save us a lot of time to come up with this list. This project is very interesting and meaningful. The only thing is I have searched many places including amazon for the mini tabs, they don't seem to have many designs like yours anymore. Only a few choices. Also, i think it is more expensive overall to buy all the enough tabs than the bible itself, lol.

You can buy some of the white ones and glue rectangles of printed scrapbook paper to them!
You could also stencil and colour on to a mini white tab. I just got a pack of 80 mini white tabs from Amazon and will stencil hearts, stars, butterflies, etc.

Hi 🙋🏼♀️ Jessica, I feel that I maybe should have shared a little more about finding your channel. I did find it by accident, but I didn’t share the deeper side of my gratitude! I was somewhat discouraged yesterday when I was looking on-line for a Pastor speaking or message. I couldn’t find one to listen to. But in my search your channel popped up! It looked promising and intriguing since I had never heard of a Prayer Bible? My prayers were answered! I now am working on this project and I had to order the tabs. I already have a Bible I can use for this! Wanting so much to get into the Word and have some direction as I read the verses and also be in prayer for family & friends and even the people I come into contact with! How do you remember what tab goes to what theme? Do you have some sort of table of contents for your tabs?
In her previous videos she shared that once you start using your prayer bible on a frequent basis, you kind of get to knowing which color/design is for which theme. She writes the theme beside the actual tab on the page where the verse has been highlighted (not just once, but for every tab for that theme). I saw someone write a comment on a previous video about creating a sort of table of contents / legend in the front cover showing each tab with its theme written next to it ( I loved this idea and am using it in mine). I guess we should do what works best for ourselves. I'm using some simpler pastel colored tabs and I know I won't be able to remember what's what, so a legend is going to come in handy for me. I do enjoy listening to you as I do chores around the house but if you can hold up your written Bible verses up to the camera for a good few seconds for people to screen shot the verses so we can do it on our free time if we cannot follow along with you, that will help tremendously. Thank you

Wow! This is when I really love being a Catholic!! We have prescribed readings for every single day of the year, and every day, every single Catholic in the world reads the same readings. We have Liturgical Years A,B, and C for the Gospels. The other daily readings come from the OT. The unity this gives us is amazing. The daily sacrifice of the Holy Mass is a gift Jesus gives us. It is a daily reminder that we can place our sins at the foot of His cross, and He has already taken those into His Sacred Heart. While I take notes in the margins of my Bible, and underline special verses, I wouldn’t know what to do with a Bible with decorations all over it. The Bible is the Word of God, God’s Holy Word. No decorations are needed.
I like the name sisterita it's almost the word senorita in Spanish meaning a young unmarried girl. I love how you made your prayer bible I will be doing mine soon.
