I seek Jesus everyday. Even when I feel like giving up I will keep faith no matter what. As a single mother. I’m struggling to make ends meet. My husband passed years ago. I have no one to turn to but you Lord JESUS. Both of my sons are special needs and require so much from me. Lord I’m afraid. Every month I struggle trying to provide for my children struggling to pay rent and to buy groceries. Lord help me and hear my prayers. Amen.🙏🏾

I do this but is quite different. I draw each day a verse and I draw it 2 ways depending on how my journal gives me the space. I create a picture and draw something that can relate to the verse. For example: celebrate with all bounty that the Lord your God has given to you and your house Deuteronomy 26:11 I may draw and color something with celebrate, like balloons, house, a music sign, I insert the verse in the pictures. I noticed for me , I remembered more the scripture. If I'm in hurry, for work or something I color some what I have previously drawn but it th gives me a chance to re read the scripture. Depending of what comes to my mind I may do this several times with a scriptures. I have never been the same since I started doing this. I remember better the scriptures like never before..

I take sermon notes using a College Rule Composition Notebook. After the sermon is over, I take time later in the day, and I write out all of the scriptures referenced in the sermon. I use sticky notes and different sizes of note paper to write on, then I washi tape them onto the page of notes. Not only has this practice helped me to better understand the sermon, but I often find myself reading verses around the ones that were given in the sermon, just to see the context of the verse and, I have occasionally found that there were a few times a particular verse was placed in a sermon, but not actually applicable to the subject. This practice has helped me not only understand scriptures better, but to pay attention to context, which is very important. I've seen a couple of comments here, asking where to start. Start with sermon notes! You'd be surprised at how that will inspire you to find your "starting place" because the Holy Spirit will make something stand out to you. Then you will be off and running! Enjoy! :)

I have been writing few verses from my daily reading for years . But as I am in my 70s and my eyesight has declined along with the duration of concentration I am indeed grateful to God that I am still able to do so though quite a short time. But it comes in handy to share with my friends over the phone some which I had noted down recently. If not I may not be able to share appropriate verses for their situation. So I am indeed grateful to God for helping me continue.

  • @carolyn5360

Yes! Thank you for sharing about scripture writing. A friend told me that she writes through The Bible verse by verse and recommended scripture writing to me. It has been a wonderful life changing and challenging experience. It has made the scriptures real to me personally. It has taken me from thinking I had a relationship with Jesus to discovering that I had a lot of religious and wrong thinking. It really made the scriptures about my people perish for a lack of knowledge and understanding of The Word, not leaning to our own understanding and interpretation, not thinking like Jesus, and the need to transform and renew our mind to think like The Trinity thinks become real to me. It has challenged me to be a doer of The Word and not just a hearer. Writing and meditating on The Word has shown me that we can mistaking think we know The Word when we really don't know "The Word Jesus Christ's" mind and will nor truly have a relationship with Him. Writing scriptures makes Jesus sacrificial love, care, and correction as The Perfect Father real to me. Thanks again.

Thank you so much Andriana this is my confirmation ! I always wanted to hear from God to listen to him, and one day I was in my bedroom and I picked up my bible and I prayed for him to speak to me and he did! I opened my bible and it was Mathew chapter 4 verse 17 and I started reading and every page I turn it was in All Red! and then I knew it was Jesus speaking to me at that point,I started crying out to him thanking him. And here I am in my bedroom the time is 10:44 pm pick up my phone strolling through RUclips and there is your video shows up on my feed and something inside of me said to click on it and I did, and the tears coming down especially number six. Thank you 🙏🏿

Writing AND using color helps us to remember! I alternate colors of ink for each scripture that I write. I am a retired teacher and always told my students to use color when taking notes. I have been writing scripture for years and have quite a few notebooks full of themed scripture verses. I love it! I agree with every benefit you listed at the beginning of your video, Andriana! I am a creative person, and love to include decorative stickers, washi tape, stamping, etc. I mean…God is the ultimate creator…why would I not use the gifts and talents I was given for, what I consider to be, an act of worship. And, YES…music is more often than not a part of this time with the Lord. I’m a new sub! Just found you…Cindi (from WV). 😊

I've been scripture writing for about 3 years now. I began with a book from The 17:18 Series for Acts. Writing the Word just gets it into my brain and my heart more than just reading it. I find more things that I'd "never read before" although I'd read the passages many times. But because I was writing it, it slowed me down just enough to notice something new. My church has group Bible studies on one book at a time, one chapter at a time and I've written several books. I sometimes had to spend some time for several days to finish a chapter because of the pain in my hand or arm. But I was successful. It doesn't have to be all at one time. If you haven't begun writing yet, let me encourage you to start as soon as you can. Tomorrow!

@123scrappygirl, have you tried to find RUclips channels by Messianic Jews? I know they exist and they spend time in the Old Testament, and connect things to the New. I wish I could remember a couple of people for you to check out. I'm not Jewish, but I was briefly connected to a couple of Messianic Jews on RUclips because they were friends with Christian pastors I had occasionally listened to a couple of years or so ago. They are out there to find, I promise. Unfortunately, it does take some time to find the one(s) who can connect to your spirit at this phase of your walk. Good luck to you dear lady. As a septuagenarian myself, I am also aware that time is a bit shorter for us, so don't give up. The Holy Spirit will guide you. God bless.

It's neat that I found your video today, Adriana because I just started scripture writing a couple days ago. I did want more connection with God's word, and I have been doing some memorizing, but I really wanted to go deeper and get more from God's Word! I want to use a translation that I really like but don't already have, so I'm using The Amplified Bible, and I write a few verses from Colossians each day! I have finished the first chapter already, and that was 22 verses in that first chapter but I felt that I got so much out of it! Thanks for your 7 points, (yes, it made me very thankful to God)
Thanks for encouraging more and more for scripture writing. It's a wonderful daily habit for seeking God! Lori ❤️

Also, I enjoy making journals and mixed media art. But this new addition has really gotten me into reading the word more! Like you I realized I had difficulty sitting still all the time when I was young. In fact, I would drift off to what I use to call "La La Land". I indeed was a dreamer and I literally fell asleep dying from boredom! Later, I learned that writing was very therapeutic for me. I got in habit in writing everything down especially in Church and College. I just want you to know that the information you gave really helped me! God bless and thank you so much!

Hello! I will go more in depth in this week's video but I recommend looking up a verse list online. So search verses for {insert feeling or interest here}. Read through the list and just pick a couple that you relate to. We also curate a monthly reading plan and verse list within our bible study program.

My best friend and I are scripture writing together. She is in AZ and I am in NC, but we FaceTime everyday to go over what we’ve studies. We both decided we really wanted to make this more in-depth than just choosing specific scriptures to write. So we are going through each book, one chapter at a time. We both use the NIV Life Application Bible. I try to always get two chapters done everyday. We started with James, then did the Gospel of Mark, then Ruth. We are currently in Chapter 11 of Luke. Next we will go through Acts. Our journals are such a beautiful reflection of our time spent with the Lord and each other, everyday. Thank you for this very inspiring video. 💕

I am a scrapbook person, but i want to do more than just make scrapbooks. This is a great way to do both & make it all something that is really glorious. Thank you for this post. And thank you God for putting this video in my life.

Thanks for this video! I’ve been looking for more ways to engage with Scripture and this helped a lot! I have one question though and please excuse my ignorance, when you say “scripture writing”, you mean as I read Ephesians 1 for example, I write the entire chapter down in my journal or do I read and write the verses that stand out to me in that chapter?

So I have been a Christian for years. I've dedicated my heart to Jesus in 1985 but it really did stop there. I went to church. I listened to Christian music but I never read the Bible, and in my search for satisfaction and contentment, my life took a left turn...let's just say I had to learn some things the hard way, that being said, I rededicated in 2014 but still never really knew how to study the Bible. I never really knew how to read the Bible and never really understood the importance of scripture writing. Up until here recently I'm trying to find ways to make Bible reading exciting and interesting to me and my ADHD mind. My brain is so scattered and unorganized that I struggle with how to use use the bible. Things that are so simple to some people are not so simple to me. That's why I am here looking for some "how to's" and I found your video and I'm looking forward to learning some different things that will get me into the word so that I can draw closer and closer to God.
I remember when my son was in grade school, they taught this phrase, "see it, say it, read it, write it" to help them learn how to read so I am trying to remember that in my Bible reading which applies to a lot of what you're saying.
My mom gave me a Charles Stanley life principles Bible, and I've opened it up, but it's kind of information overload. I don't really know where to begin but I'm going to watch your video and pray to God that the Holy Spirit would help me and lead me to where he wants me to read and what he wants me to write.

Start from the beginning of either the Old or New Testament. I started in the OT and focused on looking out for God's character in the myriads of history, prophecies, and poetry. I will go back on it to do scripture writing. Just start prayerfully, the Spirit of God will guide you. There is so much joy in it.

I enjoyed this video. I do scripture writing sometimes. In the last year I've been memorizing scripture and to do it I often write it out. I also use an app, The Bible Memory app, which I like. You can form groups and I'm part of one that gives us 1 or 2 new verses per week. I also add verses to my personal collection. I agree with everything you said in this video. I connect with the Lord through this activity. Having verses memorized means you can meditate on them or use them in many ways when you don't have your Bible, like laying in bed with the lights off. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to hearing more from you.
