I don't think it's fair to say 'designed by' as the rifle is a Daystate Wolverine R. More accurate would be to say the Airgun Centre collaborated on the idea/specification that became the Sapphire. But the rifle is all Daystate design. And yes, sold in the by The Airgun Centre in the UK but not globally.
So nice to see in the UK we can still produce top quality air rifles. I’d go for the Sapphire too Richard, would rather spend my time shooting than faffing around with a multitude of settings, each to their own though 😁
I much prefer the Red Wolf type stock over the wolverine but im not a fan of the Red wolfs electronics. So this Sapphire Edition should be perfect for me but it such a shame UK aren't getting the carbon bottle. Really dislike the canister
Hello Rich and Tony, Thank you for a great video on those fantastic Daystate air rifles. I think you mentioned some points there, in terms of demand and what, as a manufacturer, are very important facts to shooters. With those two rifles, Tony, as you specified, you've appealed to the main body of shooters. Some like up to the minute tech, and some like a traditional rifle with the walnut stock. Personally, I wasn't keen on the bulpup and electronics. Like Rich, I don't see that as me. The traditional rifle with the wooden stock and no electronics is much more me, and I liked it very much. They are lovely rifles, no question, though importantly too, you've appealed to shooters with two beautiful air rifles which I hope will come to benefit you in the long run. Thank you to you both for a great video and good luck!
Thanks Rich, great vid as usual. No temptation for me here though as I’m more than happy with my OG Alpha Wolf. Just need to find somewhere where I can use it again in my relocated neck of the woods.
edited per follow up answer: thank you I clearly DIDN'T HEAR the Scope MAY NOT be included in the Sapphire package abroad. Well i just bought one from Airguns of Arizona in the USA and no scope was included. Thanks for the info.
How do you input the pellet weights into a sub 12 alpha wolf I've just bought a new blue one in 22 but can't find where to input the pellet weight in for the chrono to work properly ??
Yes, many gun shops will buy air rifles second hand, or take them as a trade in on a newer rifle. Be prepared to accept less than you would likely get selling your air rifle privately though.
Having had 4 electronic and double that for mechanical Daystate rifles, my money would go on the mechanical without a doubt. Shame we didn’t see the box for the mechanical limited edition as I was wondering does the moderator need to come off when in the box 🤔 One bit that did make me laugh was when I seen the gauges, how many years have they been building rifles and they still can’t get a gauge to line up 😂. Maybe it’s just me with a bit of OCD for that, no, I bet others had a chuckle as well 🙂, one last thing, it would have been nice to hear the price.
Mechanical rifles and electronic rifles are for sure a different shooting experience. But as a technological tour de force, I don't think the Alpha Wolf can be beaten. If you're the sort of shooter who likes the tune and tweak to get the most from your rifle, nothing beats the Alpha Wolf. And it shoots too! Unbelievable groups...Thanks for watching.
Awesome video. I HATE you lol. Well my wallet hates you lol. I was trying to talk myself out of the Wolverine Sapphire but its making me want one to match my Redwolf midnight that just arrived. The alpha wolf moderator color does not match and it sooo ugly compared to the rest of the rifle. I wish they had used the color of wolverines moderator. I will likely still add it at some point.
@@richsaunders6515 Sighs I dont need the encouragement lols my wallet well CC's cant take too much more LOL. I went to my first Aafta field target match last month. Next thing I know I have a daystate hunstman revere safari and a BRK ghost on order. Now I have a Redwolf midnight that just arrived to be my primary field target rifle. The wolverine sapphire would make for a wonderful backup.
I've had so many guns all down to your fantastic reviews 😢😢 just when i thought i couldn't better what i already have. You show me the limited edition. Going to have a serious amount of grovelling to do to my wife.
What Tony forget to mention is the Daystate Sapphire is designed by and only available from The Airgun Centre in Essex

Great video Richard. It's good to see British engineering can still deliver top quality and innovative design. I'd have the Wolverine aswell.
Thanks very much Jay. Yes, the Wolverine is a beauty. But I wouldn't say no to the Alpha Wolf either! Thanks for watching.
Excellent video Richard and some lovely looking guns 😊
Thanks very much Simon.
That Wolverine is a thing of beauty. I'll start saving for the next limited edition 🤣
Those are two beautiful rifles. I think I would choose the Wolverine as well. Great video, Richard.
Thanks very much William.
both lovely guns and i would happily have either, i did get the Alpha Wolf in the end and i love it 😁 nice video shows them off a treat 👍
Thanks very much. They're even better in the flesh!
I bought 1 of each plus i got the heritage red wolf as well in .22
So nice to see in the UK we can still produce top quality air rifles. I’d go for the Sapphire too Richard, would rather spend my time shooting than faffing around with a multitude of settings, each to their own though 😁
When haven’t we been able to produce top quality air rifles?
I much prefer the Red Wolf type stock over the wolverine but im not a fan of the Red wolfs electronics. So this Sapphire Edition should be perfect for me but it such a shame UK aren't getting the carbon bottle. Really dislike the canister
Wish they had done the grey shroud and moderator on the Alpha wolf version that blue moderator makes it look tacky

Hi John. I hadn't realised you've moved away?
That Wolverine Sapphire looks delicious, no other word for it. The search begins.... 🥳
If you're in the UK it will lead you to The Airgun Centre!
11:15 he mentioned a picture of the bottle version. Sadly no picture of it was shown.
I'm sure Daystate will have some photos up on their website soon. Thanks for watching.
Son una maravilla amigo Tony saludos

No problem. Bottom line - you got a great rifle!

How to processing to buying pcp airgun can I ask
Where can you buy the wolverine from? It’s not on your website
Only available from The Airgun Centre , Essex 👍
In the UK the Sapphire is being sold by The Airgun Centre.
can you sell a air gun to your local gun shop just wondering

Hi Rita. The price will vary by retailer. That's why. Feel free to watch other channels.
They become more obnoxious every year
How's that Peet?
