It's a great rifle , that's for sure , bought one in .177 a few months ago , blisteringly accurate with AA Express ( if it's not breezy ) build quality second to none .. don't use the magazine , I've replaced it with a single shot loader ... But works fine with mag if preferred ... Trigger ( although I haven't altered from opening the box ) fine , recon I could set it maybe a little lighter , but crisp and positive all the same ..
Fantastic and well explained, review on this gun , I’ve watched a lot of videos regarding this gun, and I have to say in my opinion yours is the best , thumbs up from me Shane uk 🇬🇧
One of my favourites Justin. I used it for a rabbit shooting session on The Airgun Show last year. Its one of the quietest rifles I won. The R10TH is a great gun too. Good luck in choosing :)
OMG mate love it, think i found my next rifle, have to keep this one quite from the wife, only problem i have is when am i going to use my other rifles???? You must have a few how do decided which one to take when you go to the range???, always look out for your reviews mate 👍 brilliant 👏
good evening to you. Actually there is three different types of Wolverine R I have one of the 5 built Wolverine RC Forester 40th anniversary Stock only 5 made on this planet you can see it at our ART Daystate range watch the full video and you will see and hear our boss talk about barrel testing for daystate check Airgun sniper elite where I demonstrate distance shooting while the Accuracy research team Boss talks barrels etc thanks 🙏👍
Hey Rich I just got my s510r which mention few days ago.. tomorrow is big day will shoot it finally to see how accurate is. hopefully will not disappoint me.. stay tuned 🤘
Find your videos very helpful and to the point. Start watching some - particularly from our American cousins - and lose the will to live after five minutes. Anyway, to the point, I've been looking at buying a higher end air rifle for several months - and going around in circles. I'd finally decided on the Air Arms 510S Ultimate Sporter - but then watched this - and thinking that maybe the Wolverine has the edge? The adjustable cheek piece and the sling/bipod fittings in particular.. Any advice for me?
Thanks Jonathon. Truth is they are both great rifles and will stack the pellets on top of each other. The Air Arms S510 Ultimate Sporter is a fine gun, though I'd recommend the regulated 'R' model as it has bigger and more consistent shot count over the unregulated model. I did a review on the rifle which you can find here: ruclips.net/video/-YSVLX2cVIg/видео.html. The plus side for the AA is the adjustable cheekpiece, but as a cylinder rifle shot count is around 100. The Wolverine R has a bottle than a cylinder and offers many more shots (400 plus in 12 ft/lbs I think), but has no cheek adjustment. It too is regulated. I know its difficult right now, but if you can get into a shop and put your hands on both it will help you make up your mind. I live in Berkshire. If you're anywhere near I can offer you the chance to shoot my Wolverine R if it helps.
I'm using a Revere for field target but love the look and shot count of the Wolverine, however, I've read the Wolverine isn't the best choice for field target. Why is that?
Hi - beats me! I have a .22 C type, .22 FAC HiLite and .177 HiLite. They are all laser accurate. I see no reason why they can't be used for field target.
Great video as always. I still can't decide if I want the wolverine type R or the red wolf. Either way, I'll be getting one or the other in the next week or two.
@@adamfoster3467 I actually went for the red wolf in walnut and have no regrets. The trigger takes a bit of getting used to but oh my... what a gun. I'm not the best shot in the world but at 30 yards, I can get very small single hole groups.
I bought mine yesterday it’s new from a main dealer sadly there was 3 issues the main tho is the front of the shroud is resting on the carbon fibre bottle will that affect accuracy I’m not sure if it’s a Daystate Friday special or I’m just unlucky with it I haven’t even shot the gun incase I need to return it for £1700 with the odb silencer I’m disappointed 😢
Hi. I believe they are medium mounts...If you're not sure what you need, the Sportsmatch website has an excellent guide to help you find the right height mounts for your scope. sportsmatch-uk.com.
Hi. I guess its possible, but you'd also have to change the pellet probe as well as least. Possibly other components as well. I don't know f you are in the UK, but if you are, you'd need an FAC certificate to own a .25 or .30 Wolverine R. I'd recommend speaking to your FEO to find out whether he/she would require you to have two slots on your ticket, or if one would suffice for the original calibre of the rifle.

It’s a lovely looking gun Richard.
My next gun will either be the R10TH or one of those, hopefully towards the end of the year.
Great review👍🏻😀

Can you tell me what silencer you was using on this rifle, as you say its very quiet. Many thanks

Can the wolverine R accept other barrels ? Say I buy a .25 and later want a .30 ...Can the barrel be changed ?
