    That is a really beautiful rifle Richard. I bought my B lite when they first came out and it still holds air just fine and shoots wonderfully. These rifles are an excellent long term investment.

    Excellent review Richard, thank you. I've submitted my air rifle application (Scotland) and I'm getting back into this beautiful hobby! I've looked at so many brands and wanted to invest in the BSA R-12 however after hearing of numerous worrying faults I'm now swayed to Daystate. And after this review I think you've made my mind up! Thank you! Keep up the great work!

      Welcome back Chris! I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the Wolverine R. I love mine. The R-12 is a great rifle too but Daystate have been making the Wolverine for many years now and they have come across just about every niggling issue and dealt with them. Very reliable rifles as a result. I hope your application comes through soon. Enjoy your new rifle when it does.

      @@airgunextra Thank you so much for your reply! Very much appreciated! I could start from scratch with decent break barrels for myself and my son but want to invest in a true quality and reliable PCP to last for years. It's hard with so many forum opinions and taste. I am a serving response police officer and hope to have the license through soon. Thank you once again for your commitment, time and dedication to this great sport. I look forward to owning this great rifle and many more!

    A lovely bit of kit richard and another excellent review.I think it's fair to say that over the last 4 years or so daystate have really hit the summit when it comes to quality rifles,in saying that over the years they have produced some very nice rifles but as time moves on so does technology and daystate seem to have the answer with the rifles they produce.keep the great reviews coming richard always a pleasure to watch.

      Thanks Malcolm. They are certainly producing some great rifles. So too is Brocock.

    hi rich, great video! yes, the c type is still in production in walnut, grey or forest laminate. the FAC version had a longer 300cc cylinder which it shared with the Pulsar, when the pulsar was discontiued the FAC C type was ended as 200 cc is a bit weedy for High power rifles.
    The wolverine (MK1) rifle came before and was the insperation for pulsar, but the forends are different. although the 'R' stock is different to the earler stock designs, the plimer forend was carried over

      hi David, pleased to hear it! They are great rifles, slightly overshadowed by read wolf, which is a pity as they will hold their own against anything including the Red wolf

      well the wolverine r c i have is the most pellet fussy rifle going-constant flyers in all the major brands-the polymer crap at the front pushes on the floating barrel-badly machined costly magazines-even in single shot,flyers..no confidence in this piece of crap.great review,but the groups are like mine-wouldnt dream of taking this rifle on pest control,oh and did i mention the poor customer service from you guys too.(daystate)

    Great review. It does look a hefty rifle - almost that you could use it to bludgeon your quarry to death if you missed with a pellet. Would be interesting to see the grouping without the Hugget(?) silencer fitted.

    I had the none reg version..its probably my biggest regret selling it ,the stock is unmatched imo amazing accuracy 🙌, I was 3 guns in to my hobby so hungry for swapping and getting the next eye catcher lol ..I would say my s510r was more accurate tho

    My gauges are wonky too ( wolverine r ) .. I would expect on a rifle of this price range to have gauges that line up .. that said it’s still a cracking rifle 👍

    Professional review, many thanks for making it. I am wondering if you are getting a more reliable internal system with the wolverine as compared to somewhat cheaper rifles like the HW100 of AA 510 etc? Does spending the extra buy you longer reliability before something internal needs servicing, or is it really just the design and aesthetics?

    • @airgunextra
      @airgunextra  2 года назад

      Thanks very much William. To be honest, all PCPs can spring a leak from time to time. Unfortunately its just a fact of life given the huge internal pressures they have to deal with. In my experience, the rifles that are more reliable tend to be the ones that have been in production for a long time. The thing is, all airgun companies are, in the big scheme of things, small companies and none of them can afford the kind of prolonged testing that go into many other things we buy. They simply need to start getting money back on a new design as soon as possible. As a result, we consumers often end up being something of a test bed for new designs and the issues we report back result in changes and improvements being made to a rifle design over time. Therefore, rifles like the Wolverine R, Huntsman Revere, HW100, AA S510 - all of which have been round for a long time - tend to be more reliable than most simple because all the issues have been discovered and fixed. Just my own personal philosophy you understand! Thanks for watching.

      @@airgunextra Couldn't agree more with your reply. Ironically I have literally narrowed down my list to the three models you mentioned above, I hope to pick one of them up tomorrow. I am paying a visit to the shop to handle all three and decide. At this point I think the Wolverine is probably overkill, cost wise for my very first air rifle ever (only used SG before!) So I need to decide between the HW100, aa s510 and the H-Revere. On paper the HW100 has the edge over the s510, based on research and I am keeping an open mind on the H-Revere. I appreciate that all of these rifles will give me accurate shots and it's only a matter of gelling with one of them. I want something I can leave sitting for months on end and comes and pick up when I need it, in a remote location, so thats why I asked about reliability. Can't wait to get going and your channel is an absolute gold mine of information with clear and concise explanations. Many thanks.

    • @MW_1981
      @MW_1981 Год назад

      Each to their own but I have a HW100 and while it's a cracking gun, super accurate and only had one minor leak in 6 years, it's certainly no looker in my opinion. I'm now looking at buying a Wolverine R but undecided on the C Type or Hi Lite at the moment.

    How and why peoples of uk spends thousands of pounds on 12sub low power airguns. 😢😢😢😢😢
    are you helping brands manufacturers to grow up.

    • @airgunextra
      @airgunextra  Месяц назад

      Because it's illegal to own an air rifle greater than 12 ft/lbs without a firearms certificate. With a firearms certificate more powerful air rifles can be owned. I hope that helps - Rich.
