I used to have custom ear plugs after a few operations I got on my ears. I had them so I could keep swimming without water entering my ear canals. Mine were covered by insurance, but I also think the price depends on where you live.

Only problem with me is I have tinnitus already, so if I wore these, all I'd hear is my constant ringing. But as preventative measure for other people, I guess this is great.

Would love to have this done, the most total and complete sound isolation imaginable and they would be incredibly comfortable. I actually backed a pair of closed back headphones that had a "gel" which shaped to your ears and gave you incredible three-dimensional sound, but they fell through at the very last moment. Would still like to see research on that continue, your ear shape determines your hearing much more than people imagine.

That's very inexpensive for the service provided. I need these. I now cannot live without them after seeing this. I'm a full-time caregiver to someone who screams, a lot. I need to have this. Nothing else has worked because of my own sensory needs and tiny ears

Just because someone can't afford them, doesn't mean they don't need them.There are a lot of different reasons people might need them even if they cannot afford them. Some companies help with low monthly payments interest-free or you can get them payed by social security for heath reasons. But I guess it also depends on the country.

I work in a factory where hearing protection is required. None of the earplugs I have tried fit my ears without hurting me so I have to wear ear muffs. The ear muffs make my safety glasses dig into the side of my head lmao 😂. It’s hurt inside or outside the ear for me
