This was my first ever thrill ride of any kind... I celebrated my 52nd birthday doing that ride...when I visited Pigeon Forge the very first time!!! Amazing! Wow!! Went back and did it at night ... perfect!!! Thank you for bringing back some awesome memories ❤️
I was searching mountain coasters on RUclips in the area and your video is the first one I clicked on. You sold us on it and I tell you what. THANK YOU!! What a blast it is. Seems way faster than 30mph. I would do this one again.
I live in Michigan. I did live in Kentucky back in the 80's but never rode a coaster. I'm most likely going to drive down to pigeon forge and ride this coaster sooner or later. Think the view is the best part. Great video by the way👍👍
Thank you so much! I have a fear of heights and I like to watch videos before I get on things it doesn't look too bad except for those two tight turns but those should be quick
Wow! I was really glad to watch this since we have passed it every time we are up in the area in Dec. at night it’s all lit up with colorful light. So inviting! And not to scary! Great fun!
WOW....You were like a kid again😂 Love those coasters, but I have not been on that one....Looks like loads and bunches of fun....Thanks for the birds eye ride🐾🦊🐺
love this alpine coaster so much, everytime i go there with family on vacation i always ride it and it is amazing and fun, definately recomend it to newcomers for roller coaster riders, cause i do feel nausea on other roller coasters but these kinda coasters are fun and help ease me into it without making me sick
This is one of my favorites. I will be riding the last two I haven't been on and will reveal my list of every mountain coaster ranked from first to worst in the next couple weeks!
That is the only Alpine Coaster I've visited, but I didn't have the head GoPro mount so I couldn't record it. It is fun, and thanks for comparing it to the others you have visited; that's some great info! ✌️
We just went today It was the best time I ever had so worth it We went around 11 am, it’s late Nov Perfect out, not too cold or hot, no rain today We had 4 kids 10-3 and they all had a blast Not a lot of people, more people did show up after us They open at 10am Great video !

Me and my sister are coming to Gatlinburg Sept 13th thru the 20th. We will get to see the fall Rod Run 😄 and can you slow down anytime you want to on the coaster?
I have rode this coaster several times. This is my favorite one to ride. I think the rowdy bear is faster, but the Alpine coaster is twice as long on the ride. It also really neat to ride it at nighttime. When they have all the lights on.
That one looks better than most. Reminds me of one I rode in Jamaica. Thanks for sharing. I love mountain coasters. Any chance of getting you to do a GoPro on the best zip line in that area? I am sure there must be a few. If you like mountain coasters than you will really like Zip Lining 😆
I'm genuinely curious, whats the safety precautions for bears on the lift hill? It seems if a bear comes by, no one else is near to help and youre strapped in going 1 mile an hour ready and primed to be mauled. Are their safety measures for this???
You mean going up the incline? I've never had one safety precaution explained to me on any of these in regards to bear. I assume the noise of the coasters keep them away for the most part.
My husband and I just rode this last week (Sept. 16th, 2021 I believe) and it was wonderful! We loved the beauty of the mountains and the thrill of the ride. My husband liked that it came with brakes, lol! By the way, on the livestream a couple of weeks ago, you were trying to figure out my name. It's pronounced Andre's Lady. This was a great video!
@@SmokiesPlus Have you considered the new chair lift called "The Hawk"? It's in Wears Valley. Beautiful views from the top and they give every one moon pies and bottled water. There is also corn hole and checkers, rockers and swings, a TV and even clean bathrooms at the top! Loved it so much! Oh, btw, we stayed at the Country Cascades in P.F. in a 2 room fireplace suite. It was very nice and less than a thousand for 6 nights and 7 days. Had a decent hot breakfast with many tables to sit at. Would love to see you do a video on this place as well. Avoid the Jurassic Jungle boat ride at all costs though. It was over $40 for the 2 of us and it was horrible and hot. Thanks for all your videos! I believe we both live in the same state!
@@Andresladee I absolutely want to do the Hawk. I have heard of it because another RUclipsr did a video on it. I'll try to cover it when I'm down next month. I've heard a ton of good things about Country Cascades. It might be time to finally pull the trigger! Are you from Ohio as well?
@@SmokiesPlus Yes, about 10 miles from Kings Island. Try one of the 2 room suites @Country Cascades just for something different. King size bed, dresser, closet area, tv, 2 nightstands with lamps and a/c unit in the bedroom. Living area has a fireplace, sofa sleeper, coffee table, a/c unit, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, desk, safe, closet area and full length mirror. An actual door separates the 2 rooms. Bathroom is long and has sink, toilet, tub with shower, and like 4 feet of extra counter space. We asked for a room as high up as possible. We were on floor 6 out of 7. Also, we parked right below our window and came and went through the indoor pool area. Just a little trick! Oh, btw, I'm pretty sure our current church or our previous one took mission trips to the same place in TX because it sounds very familiar. Link to our church is fbcm.org. God bless.
Could you compare and review the three local alpine coasters in the Smokies... Pigeon Forge, TN., Banner Elk, NC & Helen, GA? What's the cost? How about the fastest, longest, curviest?
@@Antdogg566 You would have to stay aware in case you needed to stop. That's why they tell people never to stop on the tracks. I've ridden mountain coasters over two dozen times and have never had that happen.
@@SmokiesPlusI have 2 girls who have never been on a roller coaster and I was thinking about thinking them to the smokies this weekend. I was worried a little bit about going around the curves.

I’ve got questions:::: Did you slow yourself down at the end or did the coaster slow you down? Was the ride that bumpy? Is the seat cushioned? Thank you!
You can slow down, but I don't recommend it. They space you out well enough where no one should run into you, but you definitely will get more out of it going full speed! It's cushioned enough. Ride isn't bumpy at all... Just shakes you a little
@@SmokiesPlus Hi, new to the coasters, you can only control your speed right you can’t stop right? This way no one bumps into you? Love your channel, been binge watching. 😁
