    hi, you have to put the black knob with the spool to keep the friction and the wire tight, the screw, the spring and the knob should be together.

    I just bought the 200M and it is a Kick ASS welder.... Simple to use. Max power at 110v is 161 amps. Running
    .035 flux core wire she burns HOT. Love the 2t 4t feature and the inductance control. Best bang for your buck welder I've ever came across.....

      How do u use the 4t feature? Everytime I try to switch it, it instantly goes back to 2t? But have had no issues running on 2t. I figured mabye it was just for solid wire or somthing since all I've ran is flux

      Set it on any mig function and tap the trigger to start..... Tap again to stop....

    Thanks for putting this out there. Making me way more confident about trying to get into this on my own

    Just picked up that welder. Looking forward to getting back into it as well as teaching my son. I do wish we had a Northern Tools out here!

    It is a good little welder! I have one I use for SMAW and flux core, thing works great. Burns 1/8 E6011 and E7018 no problem. Welded up some 3/8 steel plate with the E6011, clamped it down and smacked the crap out of it with a 2lb hammer. The weld did not crack. Have an argon bottle and Tig torch in my cart on Amazon just waiting to pull the trigger.

    thanks for the info, think I'll pick one up and play around.

    Mines been great... It's been giving me the same performance I'd expect to see out of a Lincoln or a Miller, So far I'm only running 035 flux core. It's really awesome to be able to run a light extension cord a 100' out to the corner of your yard to fix a gate and not struggle with power.

    On the wire spool wingnut...washer, spring, washer, wingnut... you have the 2 washers against the spool.

    Switch to Gas shield solid core. No more dirty welds.

    Without seeing your trailer I'd say you're best actually doing spots with fluxcore MIG - I'm not sure with this amperage if there is anything I'd ever use my stick stinger on. Throw a double nut(get another wingnut if you want) on your spindle. to prevent that wingnut from moving. As to GAS - you'd need 2 different types for MIG and TIG - for your money stick with Argon 75/25 CO2 for MIG - you'll burn up your electrode if you try using this for TIG.

      It's a 200 amp welder. And you suggest fluxcore MIG huh? Any reason specific why?

    • @JWGasner
      @JWGasner 3 года назад +1

      @@krlabs5472 I'm saying with that welder I'd use mig, not stick.

    Great video! I also recently bought this welder. I'm new to welding too. Another YT reviewer said he replaced the wing nut with a "locking" wing nut. Anyone know what size and where to get it, since it's metric? MIG works great, but I'm struggling with stick welding. 7018, 3/32 rod, 1/8" steel. I'm having a hard time with it sticking. 80% of the time, I can't get it to run a bead. Either my technique is way off or it's the Settings. Settings: current = 90, Hot Start = 3, Arc Force =3.
    I'm also into electronics, so I'll check your other videos out!

    flux core is electrode or gun negative table or piece positive. . Try some blue demon flux core 71 t11 ten pound spool. I get zero BB's super clean welds . Using a 140 everlast super hot works with or without gas..

    hi i ordered the same welder as you except my micro voltage adjustment knob seems its not working... if you spin the knob on the left in fluxcore or one of the mig modes, does anything show up on the lcd screen. mine is just blank??

    • @krlabs5472
      @krlabs5472  3 года назад

      The left knob is one used to adjust voltage which camt be adjusted in fluxcore mode

    • @derekbrewer7632
      @derekbrewer7632 3 года назад

      Mine works you just can't see it on the screen. Your biggest changes will be in your amps and inductance.
