bro i searched for this game for years, watched 100 dreamcast lists and was even start thinking this game wasnt even real at all anymore. Thank you for bringing it back homie.
You are most welcome! I know that feeling when you kinda remember a game but you're not sure if it was just a dream and then you finally find it... Great feeling!
Man i loved this game, ive never forgotten it & also never met anyone whose heard of it. So sad its fallen into obscurity, almost as sad as the ultimate fate of the dreamcast itself. If there was fairness in the world then SEGA would not only still be apart of the "console wars" but would be a leader in them. Because in all aspects (except maybe the overall game library) the dreamcast was the superior console for that generation of consoles...& its a travesty that so few people got to discover that at the time. So thank you for keeping the woefully underrated blue stinger & the dreamcast's memories alive.
I'll admit to never giving this game a chance when the Dreamcast launched. But here i am decades later, convinced that now i should give it a shot. Thanks for your overview
I worked my ass off to find two copies of this game the first one was too scratched so I had to look for another and this was after the end of the Dreamcast life cycle
I also struggled with BS not loading for my DC. Turns out my disk wasn’t scratched, but my Dreamcast had a defective disk drive. It allowed me to play every other game but Blue Stinger. I had to buy a new Dreamcast to play it! That defective DC hung around until last year when it finally refused to load any game. Going to try to give it another life with a GDEMU…..
I am a fellow Dreamcast Enjoyer brought here by a friend who found your content. ReDream lets me experience so many great games I missed, and Blue Stinger is going on my list of Must Play after this video.
During my childhood in the era of the Dreamcast, acquiring the console was a feat, with only a handful of shops selling games, and piracy was impossible.
For real. The graphics and gameplay where amazing for it's time. This game never got the credit it deserved. The game deserves a remake. But I doubt it😔
Sadly I don't think we'll ever see a remake but a HD Remaster would be a great way for modern audiences to check it out, so I hold out hope that might happen one day 😊
I remember official Dreamcast magazine used to re-rate games and particularly remember them lowering the score of Blue Stinger after code Veronica came out haha unbelievable looking back. Blue Stinger create example of a look and feel and little things like the Sonic cast just couldn't appreciate at the time!
Dogs is likely to be based on the AJPW wrestler "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, who was a main-eventer in Japan from 1994 to 2002. While Blue Stinger was being developed throughout 1997 and early 1998, Williams was a strong prescense on AJPW television when the promotion was at its peak (part of the late 90s wrestling boom).
You can actually kill the fishes (with the raygun), but they would come back if you leave the room, the only way to kill them for good is to use the poison. A few bits and bobs that you might find interesting about Blue Stinger, these are stuff I noticed or figured out over the years: - Names are carefully chosen, most are inspired by Judaism/Hebrew. Eliot comes from Eli the prophet and Eliot is the hero... Might be a bit of a reach but check out the next examples and you'll probably start to think it's less of a reach than it first seem... Nephilim means 'those who have fallen' and she came with a meteor, Dogs' boat is the SS Deana which comes from the Roman Goddess of hunting and Dogs has a bow. The artificial satellite that protects the island (destroyed in the first FMV) is called Aegis and it means "barrier" or "shield" in Greek. - If you look at the gibberish on the screen during the first cut-scene where you meet Janine in person (in the Brain area), you can see the exact time Aegis was hit by Nephilim. We know the exact date when this game came out. A few years ago, I actually timed precisely based on the length of the cutscene so you could play at the exact time and date the game is supposed to take place (I couldn't back then but other Blue Stinger fans I'm in contact with have) - Many people miss it because it's a bit confusing but there are 2 Jasconies. Nephilim kills the real Jascony in the final cut-scene, you're actually killing a clone. In the room where you get Dr Kimura's ID, just before the Gigadent, there is a frozen Jascony. As you can see in the cut-scene after coming down from the wave tower, there is an explosion in the lab (which unfreezes the clone). And if you pay close attention to the map, there is an unused corridor that connects the wave tower to the lab/gigadent. - Something that took me almost 2 decades to figure out is Dogs' presence on the pier... He must have been in the helicopter that crashed in the short intro cut-scene. Can't believe it took me so long to connect these dots. His disappearance right after could be explained with 'he went back to check on survivors' or 'he went back to get his bow' - You mentioned the island and how it is logical. It is, the map is actually flawless in terms of size and scale. If you could remove the loading zones and put everything together in a single map, nothing would overlap. That's one of the reasons this game has memorable spots, because they are believable. There is no inside larger than the outside. No, non-Euclidean geometry going on here. Also, if you pay attention to the radio cutting out or having trouble picking up the signal, it's actually very logic when you know the topology of the area. Janine has troubles talking to you at the beginning because you are behind the massive walls on the pier. Easy to miss but that's a cool detail. Several such example throughout the game. - If you think about the ending of the game (the post credit scene), it's actually smarter than it sounds because of ACTUAL history.. Or rather pre-History... Jascony clearly is a dinosaur. And there were dinosaurs on Earth 60M years ago. But Jascony dies in the game, because it's defeated by Nephilim. And we also know (from the post-credit scene) that there are many Jasconies and many Nephilims... So, it's safe to assume that the dinosaurs are the result of a previous battle between a Jascony and a Nephilim that took place on Earth hundreds of millions of years ago, when a Jascony actually won the fight against its Naphilim and populated the planet with dinosaurs. So, Nephilims and Jasconies are an explanation for life itself, that's quite cool when you think about it. It's panspermia meets Godzilla basically ^-^ - The name Jascony comes from Jasconius, it's a reference to the Arab tales 1001 nights where the island is actually a whale. Except instead of an island that is actually a giant whale, it's an island that is actually an egg, the egg of Jascony. - Eliot might seem useless because Nephilim defeats Jascony, and Nephilim might seem useless because Eliot defeats the clone. But, the visions that Nephilim sends to Eliot are what helps Eliot understand the situation and what to do to help Nephilim (ie. unlock the gate in Gigadent so she can defeat Jascony). And Eliot actually defeat a weaker version of Jascony, you can see it based on the scale of the Jascony Nephilim has to fight, it's easily 30 times bigger than the one you kill yourself. - Most people assume that Nephilim is the cause of the monsters running around because their 'arrival' coincide with Nephilim's arrival. I think that Nephy damaged the labs when she deployed her dome in order to trap Jascony. In other words, she unleashed Kimra's plague, created with the experiments they have done on Jascony. Just discovered your channel, it's right up my alley. And I command you for even trying to explain how special the Dreamcast is to people who have never owned one back then... Not an easy task, if at all possible. And yeah, I totally agree with the sentiment, this console is special, whether it's the console itself (perfect form factor, ideal weight, sturdy, quite capable and forward thinking) or the games. Plenty of games scream "holiday on a sunny beach" even if on paper, what's happening is awful. Your example of Robotnik's flying fortress was spot on in that regard. Toy Commander, Blue Stinger (I'm literally the biggest fan of this game in the world... I didn't discover your channel by accident...), Nomad Soul, JSR, Fur Fighter, PSO (not even online!), MSR & Shenmue are some of my best memories of all time. All of these games have pretty much remained unchallenged to this day. Yes, we make bigger, better looking games nowadays. But adjusted to 'technical inflation' (ie. 3D was relatively new, some genres had yet to be created or perfected etc), these games are unmatched. The amount of care, attention, love and innovation has only rarely been matched in the past 20 years. Dreamcast wasn't only an evolution of better 3D graphics, it came at a time where devs had their feet wet with 3D and decided to explore in all kind of crazy directions. Dreamcast might be the most innovative console when it comes to exploring the possibilities of 'non-primitive' 3D gaming. Also, when you're looking back at the Dreamcast era from a modern perspective, everyone just assume that the PS2 was just around the corner... When in fact, the PS2 released 2 years later, was expensive and had very few game for the first year. My point is that for many people, it was easy to skip because there was the PS1 and then the PS2. But the Dreamcast occupied a 3 year window where if you didn't have it, you were stuck with a Saturn, PS1 or an N64 that were already almost 5 years old... So, it always makes me laugh when people dismiss the Dreamcast nowadays with the hindsight that the PS2 would be good, when back then, it was a 3 years wait. Skipping the Dreamcast is the equivalent of waiting until 2009 to buy the Xbox 360... People don't realise that now. As for constructive criticism regarding your setup... When you stop talking and start talking again, your mic sounds like you're in a cathedral... My guess is that you have an external speaker playing your audio... And the mic would pick it up and then the software would engage some fancy Fourier transform to mask the echo... Just a guess. Or even, you mic is both set as a mic AND a speaker at the same time... Creating some echo...? Sorry for the long comment, I'm basically commenting on 4 videos at once here =) And I had no idea that Toy commander had 'dlc' demo, that's cool! I bought Gunscape years ago, I recreated the kitchen, it was one of the most popular map on the game back then! I bet 99.9% of people didn't know it was copied from a Dreamcast game... Their loss, I guess.
First of all, thank you so so much for taking the time to leave such brilliant feedback! I had no idea Blue Stinger was so deep in terms of lore - it's one of my faves, of course, but due to the b-movie flavour I never thought too hard about the story. Some proper fascinating stuff here! I also appreciate the feedback around sound - I don't know much about recording but will definitely check that out. I have about 4 videos recorded for January and I think I finally nail the sound in the Jet Set Radio one (coming out late Jan) I appreciate your massive love for the Dreamcast and hope you enjoy the channel!
Fantastic video! This and Illbleed were a some of my favorites on Dreamcast, strange to think it’s been twenty years or more since I’ve played most of that generation.
It was! the future had capabilities that took a whole other generation for other consoles to accomplish. & dreamcast is proof that capitalism doesn't always allow the superior product to rise to the top...cuz make no mistake the dreamcast was absolutely! The superior console of that generation.
Not sure why I loved this game so much but i remember the first time playing it on my uncles Dreamcast my jaw dropped. I was used to N64. Those creature jump scared the crap directly into my pants at the time
I had this for my DreamCast back in the day and played it through a few times. I’m always surprised at how little attention it ever got. No one talks about. Sequels were never mentioned. It surprises me. It was a good ass game. Pretty sure I still have the game and case down in my DreamCast bin in the basement. Might have to bust it out.
Thank you, dude - glad you liked it! Yea, I never understood the hate either. Amazing game, this one. And definitely some of my favourite video game music!
I subbed for your 12 month goal godspeed. I also have a copy of Blue Stinger for my dreamcast sitting on my shelf ready to be played as soon as I order my AV cables for it.
Loved this game back then, got it as a JP Import and loved it (but did not understood a word). Remember the grind for the electro Sword in this mall thing. Took hours to get it but after that the Enemies where all a 3 combo kill. Never finished it and never understood why it got so many hate. Also loved the Sticker things you must collect in the mall.
I remember starting this game up In my living room years ago then My dad walked in on me when the Main protagonist said damn. He was like what are you playing? I didn't even know he was home.
I remember here in Brazil to see an vídeo game magazine ad of this game and that image and nome of this game fixed in my mind. Now i find this vídeo and your channel and i need tô play BLUE Stinger imediatly
I vividly remember staying home "sick" one time when I was in middle school and spending the whole day playing Blue Stinger and beating it. Take me back god damnit!
I understand your frustration and I agree with everything you've said in the video (and it's an EXCELLENT video) but don't get it TOO twisted. Me and my wife played the ever living shit out of this game and we were HUGE fans of Resident Evil and Dino Crisis and I was blown away at the color palette and some of the crazy camera work early in the game. The Christmas theme was perfect at the time when we played it and I love this fucking game. Played it day 1 when it released and I've been championing it ever since. Thank you for this video!
I think this came with the dreamast when I bought it, I wasn;t that excited to play it at the time but I gave it ago and it was surprisingly really enjoyable. I might go back and play it again.
I played it a bit. Not bad, I like all the side missions, ( helping different survivors that you encounter in the game) and its good to play two different characters on the fly.
I also have nice memories about this game. When I bought my first Dreamcast this game came with it, it was my only original game back then. But what I remind more with this game is I founded the japanese version uses a completely diferent gameplay cause it uses similar cameras to the first Resident Evil games, instead the camera behind the character. Since Blue STinger didn't have too much replay value, I realized this was the only way to play all the game again looking for a different experience. I bought the japanese version inmediatly, but until these days I didn't play it... I think after this video, that days is close to arrive soon.
I've just found this now. I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes blue stinger Yeah it had some questionable camera angles but man was it fun! I try to play it every year around Christmas time
I just repurchased a Dreamcast so I could play this game again. It's been 24 years since I played this and never beat it. Time for your next Blue Stinger vid!
It's my favorite game for the dreamcast. Back in 2000, I bought the dreamcast Japanese import console. Blue Stinger is definitely a very underrated game.
I need to play this at some time! Never heard of it, but i like the details in the maps and the lighting is great! Map layout look a little lackluster but i gotta play the game and see for myself. Very interested in it now. Thanks for the recommendation!
I love Illbleed too! Yea you can see Dogs fall out of a chute in the Killerman level haha. Did you know you can also see a Dogs Bower video game stocked in the toy section on Killer Department Store?
bits has very little to do with graphics at this point in time. This is not hardware work anymore. Like PC and Macs of today is 64 bit so with that reasoning the graphics should be worse.
I love this game. I've never played anything so janky, interesting, and full of original ideas. It's unique games like this that make the Dreamcast my favourite console.
Bought my Dreamcast on the US launch day along with Sonic Adventure. After playing Sonic Adventure for a while, I thought it might be good to get another game to go with it. So I went to .. Walmart I think, and they had this title called Blue Stinger. Popped it in and had almost as much fun playing it as Sonic Adventure. I kept raving about this game but no one backed me up or seemed to have heard of it. I was wondering if it was just that I had strange tastes in games or something. Glad to know at least someone else liked this game
I had a similar experience over here in the UK! Got a Dreamcast for Christmas with Sonic Adventure, Soulcalibur, Toy Commander and this one (I was very lucky that year!) To this day they are still 4 of my favourite games 😊
Played this as a kid never got to finish it finally finished this on dc emulator the Only things is lacking is story/scenes encountering all the different monsters.. aside from that the game is awesome definitely deserves a remake
I remember getting this and Psychic Force after simping to my foster parents over the Dreamcast for years and man oh man did I sink tons of orphan hours into this shit.
@@matthewdoesntlikeit Currently working on a Sword of the Berserk video right now :) Spawn I will definitely get to, but I'm ashamed to admit I'm not familiar with Heavy Metal - I'll have to look it up!
@@matthewdoesntlikeit update: OK, I looked up Heavy Metal Geomatrix and it looks rad as hell. You get a flamethrower and it has Megadeth on the soundtrack, count me in!
@@DreamcastEnjoyer I’m excited for it! The Berserk game was actually my first introduction to the manga and it blew my mind. Spawn is essentially the same as Heavy Metal but it’s kicked all the way up to 11 and there’s a bigger roster of characters. It took 11 year old me FOREVER to unlock all those hidden characters. So glad I stumbled upon your channel - your style and content is fantastic. Would love to see hour+ videos but I know they’re a total slog to get through. I look forward to the next video 🥳
I remember textures being higher resolution, maybe because they were amazing back then. I would love a remaster but sadly I don't think it'll ever happen 😥
I love it when that happens! I had a similar experience recently with Sonic 2 for the Game Gear (totally different than genesis version and I thought I dreamed it)
Yes, I really really loved this game, back when I didn't let critics or review videos mess with my expectations or experience. The soundtrack was way too good.
The soundtrack was off the chain! Yeah, I just totally ignore critics and reviews now. The only opinions I really consider are videogame RUclipsrs because a lot of the channels I watch cover games I'd probably never hear about otherwise
fantastic video, great to see someone covering the game in all its glory and giving it the attention it deserves. have you ever played the Japanese version? completely different camera system.
Thank you! Actually, I did recently get hold of the Japanese version and I'm enjoying exploring again with the new perspective. There's a few interesting changes (little bits of extra dialogue and a few assets) - I might do a follow up video at some point :)
This game is full on crazy, i remember it from my childhood and for the longest time never remembered the name. The weight off my brain when i rediscovered this one hahah phew
@@DreamcastEnjoyer funny story, my brother owned this game for a week but never touched it until i showed him a walkthrough in Xpert gamer magazine we thought "wow the maps are really complex maybe theirs something to this game" used to get a kick out of the dumbfounded looks on people's faces who played for the first time
@@danielreynolds4716 I feel that. It really is unlike anything else! I remember having a guide for it back in the day too (Bradygames, possibly) and I would just sit and read that before bed like a book cause it's all so damn intriguing
@@DreamcastEnjoyer And then comes the spiritual acid trip sequel, I wont say the name cuz we already know I'll just quote a line from it "Dummy man, Dummy man...knock down Dummy man" that part actually took me a while to figure out.
I remember when Dreamcast died and Xbox came out with all these sega exclusives I was praying a sequel or at least the Xbox version would come but never happened.
I watched my sister in law beat this game as a kid. Seeing her farm money for the piston fists things and then just saying bully to everything. Made me love punching over guns in any game i could.
The game looks awesome. My biggest obstacle to playing it? That I’m fed up with the Dreamcast, which is easily the most inconsistent and faulty console I own. I’ve had more trouble getting both the console to work and the discs to read than with anything else in my collection.
There are a number of great emulators around - I use Redream to capture footage for videos as I don't have a capture card to do it straight from the TV. I'm not endorsing piracy but if you own the disc I don't see the harm Hope you get chance to check this one out! 😁
I got shenmu recently and played it for the first time.... so I have zero nostalgia glasses.... yah... the controls.... n the camera fights... wow. Still hoping I will enjoy it cause I would like to five this a try n it looms similar 😅

Can't argue there! He's an absolute mad lad too
Dreamcast graphics were always quite charming.
Absolutely agreed
Pre Xbox graphics If you ask me

I have about 4 videos recorded for January and I think I finally nail the sound in the Jet Set Radio one (coming out late Jan)
I appreciate your massive love for the Dreamcast and hope you enjoy the channel!
Fantastic video! This and Illbleed were a some of my favorites on Dreamcast, strange to think it’s been twenty years or more since I’ve played most of that generation.
Thank you! This has been a fave for me since childhood and I just recently picked up Illbleed too - hoping to cover it around halloween
I love this game too! And describing Elliot and Dogs as problematic bachelors is hilariously spot on
Seeing pictures of this in gaming magazines,as a kid, really made me think the Dreamcast was the future... NOW
Playing it today, I still think that haha
It was! the future had capabilities that took a whole other generation for other consoles to accomplish.
Might have to bust it out.
you had me at "sipping on a Hassy"
I got mad respect for anyone who enjoys a nice cold Hassy
THIS GAME WAS A BIG PART OF MY CHILDHOOD KEEP THE VIDEOS COMMIN
incredible video. hit my nostalgia and I love the commentary. something unique. keep em coming man
Thank you very much!
Awesome video mate👍
I absolutely loved this game and couldn't understand why others didn't.
Oh and that music.
Thank you very much for the support 😊
You're gonna have a great time firing this one up!
I just downloaded ReDream to play this again. Man this game was so special playing it as a kid.
I'm so glad you're revisiting it. It's an unbelievable game with a wonderful vibe 😊
Man this takes me back
I remember starting this game up
In my living room years ago then
My dad walked in on me when the
Main protagonist said damn.
He was like what are you playing?
I didn't even know he was home.
I remember here in Brazil to see an vídeo game magazine ad of this game and that image and nome of this game fixed in my mind. Now i find this vídeo and your channel and i need tô play BLUE Stinger imediatly
About to buy this game in a Dreamcast bundle. And your overlook/review tipped my scales ;)
Excellent stuff! I really hope you enjoy it :)
I was just thinking about this game and went to find a nostalgic video exactly like this! Thanks so much!
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it 😊
I vividly remember staying home "sick" one time when I was in middle school and spending the whole day playing Blue Stinger and beating it. Take me back god damnit!
That's a power move for sure
I have no idea why this game popped up in my head i was thinking it was called blue ocean at first lol great rundown brought back good memories.
Thank you very much! Blue Ocean would actually make a lot more sense as a title 😅
Thank you, dude - very glad you enjoyed it! And I'm always so happy to hear from another fan of this banger game 😁
Instantly started humming that christmas town song, and now it lives rent free in my head.
Hahaha it's fantastic, isn't it? Definitely one of my fave Christmas songs
I think this came with the dreamast when I bought it, I wasn;t that excited to play it at the time but I gave it ago and it was surprisingly really enjoyable. I might go back and play it again.
I've been trying to remember the name of this game for years. Thank you!
No problem! Always good to see people still enjoying this game 😊
I hope you enjoy the Japanese version too - I'm playing through that one right now! ☺️
That's awesome, dude - hope you beat it this time!
I will definitely do another Blue Stinger video at some point
I still own my copy of Blue Stinger and proud of it! :)
It's a fine thing to have and cherish!
@@DreamcastEnjoyer I agree. :)
"A Dreamcast, incredible" i love this line delivery so much haha
I think it's accurate to how I said it back in 1999 😄
It's my favorite game for the dreamcast. Back in 2000, I bought the dreamcast Japanese import console. Blue Stinger is definitely a very underrated game.
I'm just about to start my annual replay of this. Trying to decide if I should do the PAL or Japanese version
I need to play this at some time! Never heard of it, but i like the details in the maps and the lighting is great! Map layout look a little lackluster but i gotta play the game and see for myself. Very interested in it now.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Thanks for checking out the video - I'm glad it convinced you to give this game a look :)
I make sure to play this and ILLBLEED once a year
Chad behaviour. Two of the best games on Dreamcast, for sure
This was a really fun game. Definitely underrated
When Dog said "God damn son of a B" I knew it was gonna be a good one
Hahaha same. The way he says that line really stuck with me
Just got my copy from Ebay. Can't wait to play it!
Amazing! You're in for such a treat 😁
Definitely in my top 10 list. Not very popular opinion but I don’t give a poop
Hey bud, just wanted to let you know I too am a big blue stinger fan so I respect your efforts!!!
Thank you for the kind words- I hope I did it some justice!
You certainly did. Evoke the memories
One of my favorite games of all time. There's a Dogs Easter egg in illbleed as well, another fantastic Dreamcast game
I love Illbleed too!
Yea you can see Dogs fall out of a chute in the Killerman level haha. Did you know you can also see a Dogs Bower video game stocked in the toy section on Killer Department Store?
@@DreamcastEnjoyer Yeah, the game too, haha. Illbleed was full of crazy references.
I wish this game got some love and they remastered it its 1 of my all time favorites and I think of it often
I'd love to see a HD Port surface on Steam someday for sure!
Most dreamcast games are rated 10/10 because the graphics were 128bit. Sega Dreamcast was way ahead of its time.
100% agree with you there! These graphics really stand the test of time, I think
bits has very little to do with graphics at this point in time.
Got a Dreamcast for Christmas with Sonic Adventure, Soulcalibur, Toy Commander and this one (I was very lucky that year!)
To this day they are still 4 of my favourite games 😊
I used to play this game all day with my brother as a kid good times
Played this as a kid never got to finish it finally finished this on dc emulator the Only things is lacking is story/scenes encountering all the different monsters.. aside from that the game is awesome definitely deserves a remake
I remember getting this and Psychic Force after simping to my foster parents over the Dreamcast for years and man oh man did I sink tons of orphan hours into this shit.
Always glad to meet a fellow Blue Stinger enjoyer 😊
And hell yea, Psychic Force - there's another awesome game that doesn't get the love it deserves!
Any plans on touching on some of the best licensing use of Spawn, Heavy Metal and Berserk have ever had in their DC games?!
@@matthewdoesntlikeit Currently working on a Sword of the Berserk video right now :)
Spawn I will definitely get to, but I'm ashamed to admit I'm not familiar with Heavy Metal - I'll have to look it up!
It's been a year. Send it with the sequel homie!
Definitely gonna emulate this!
Hope you enjoy it 😁
It's taken me 25 years to find this game again
I love it when that happens! I had a similar experience recently with Sonic 2 for the Game Gear (totally different than genesis version and I thought I dreamed it)
Certainly a good game, I recall the xmas music very well grinding coins. So arcade yet RPG.
Loved this game. The Dreamcast failed due to the massive amount of piracy unfortunately. Would’ve been great for sega to continue
Hardcore blue stinger fan!
I remember being a kid and seeing my uncles bluestinger guide book and wanting to play the game so bad and I never could 😩
Damn, that book was dope too! Bradygames or Prima I think
I had this as a kid it still remains one of my most favourite games i have played i still have the game guide in my loft 👍
That guide is a gem too - wish I still had mine!
This game is full on crazy, i remember it from my childhood and for the longest time never remembered the name. The weight off my brain when i rediscovered this one hahah phew
I love that feeling- so many games where I remember the vibe and forget the name, then it's such a relief when I find it! 😊
great one! Still have to play it!
If I could only recommend 3 games to you, this would be one of them for sure
This game is by far the most underrated game ever!
I'm glad it's not just me that thinks so 😊
a couple of hours this game is fun, after the game shows the old gameplay, I couldn't get to the end
He's on vacation.....and he needs help too.
Hahaha one of my favourite lines. "Hold up... I'm on vacation!"
We need this game on modern platforms
Oh absolutely! I'd publish it myself if I had any idea about doing stuff like that 😅
I've played this game before but never had the chance to finish it since it gave me nightmares haha
I remember when Dreamcast died and Xbox came out with all these sega exclusives I was praying a sequel or at least the Xbox version would come but never happened.
This was my first Dreamcast game, though I didn't finish it until maybe 10 years later when I went back to the Dreamcast backlog to finish it and D2.
My first horror as well.
D2 is still on my backlog! Hoping to play it for Halloween this year
@@DreamcastEnjoyer I still remember
The cover to the first D.
Think it was an alma from fear looking
Girl.
This was the first real 3d survival horror game. Before code Veronica
I watched my sister in law beat this game as a kid. Seeing her farm money for the piston fists things and then just saying bully to everything. Made me love punching over guns in any game i could.
Hahaha excellent! Yea the melee combat in this feels great. Fire axe, baseball bat, lightsaber, concrete mixer... the list goes on!
Still the most memorable game on my Dreamcast from 1999.
Couldn't agree more 😁
The game looks awesome.
I'm not endorsing piracy but if you own the disc I don't see the harm
Hope you get chance to check this one out! 😁
Got'cha!
Cool game. Main character looks like an anime version of Action Man. I wonder if Action Man was an inspiration for this game.
Man, now you got me wanting to replay that Action Man game they did for PS1 - it was badass
Kudos from 444 Gematria!
You better believe I’m playing this NOW
Chad behaviour. I respect it
I got shenmu recently and played it for the first time.... so I have zero nostalgia glasses.... yah... the controls.... n the camera fights... wow. Still hoping I will enjoy it cause I would like to five this a try n it looms similar 😅
I had a vague memory of this game. I thought it was a capcom game. This game was real fun back then.
It absolutely has the energy of a Capcom game! Weirdly, I always get the same vibe from this and Megaman Legends
Loved this game
I love Blue Stinger. I wish it got a sequel.
I often wonder what that would have looked like! Looking at Nishigaki's work on Illbleed I'm sure it would have been wild!
you could argue ILLBLEED _WAS_ the sequel.
One of the first games i got for dreamcast
I remember watching an LP a few months ago, this game is absolutely unhinged 😭🤣🤣
Hahaha it takes a real sicko mindset to appreciate this one. But that's me 😎
legendary commentary
God I loved this game when I was in middle school!!
Same here and I love it just as much now!
ahh i remember this game SO WELL, 10/10 and being one of t he firrst games to curse! ? from what i remember
Oh there's plenty of swears in here, yeah! Mostly from Dogs.
His delivery of "Goddamn sonuvabitch" lives in my head rent free
Fucking loved this game
It's a beaut
Keep at it homie
Thank you 😊
Great vid loved the game
Thank you very much
There's a glitch I encountered that soft locked the game. It's when you get to Janne at the beginning of the game when she gives you the ID card.
For real? I've never seen that one. 20+ years on and I'm still learning new stuff about this game
It's time for a large Hassy and two bites of a burger before throwing the rest of it away
The only way to live! 😎
