For best quality use: 240p and then 480p (resolution)
also extend the screen.
Martian units used: Scout Machine, Fighting Machine
Due to the recording program, the video got some minor lagg.

i remember playing this when i was about 7 or 8. great memories
these 2 games this 1 and the 1 on the old ps1 need to be remade
that was SICK!
the shorter blue/purple tripods are scouts. they have less armor and firepower but i think are faster than the fighting machines (tall green)
And to psot again, IO decided to install it last night on my Win7 system, Works straight away, but no sound from the CDA audio, am unable to change the grahpics from 640x480. Since the game is mainly rendered in DirectDraw as well I can't use fraps to record it. I was more supprised that it worked for me this time on a modern system, I spent about 4 or so hours playing it.
@NortShip01 did you download a torrent or did you use the cd's?
wanna play game and relive childhood again :P
@Lupni3rd double post ftw. As for the cut scenes I uploaded them 3 years or so ago in English, as up to that point there were a few in german and french and some half clips

your videos are better than the videos alexsplat once uploaded. people who view this video might want more, longer, better videos of martian and human gameplay coming from you. and if u ask me, those videos should include vehicles that we haven't seen yet, like eletric machines, xeno-telepaths and tempests. do the equivalent with the humans. ULLLAAAA!
They just worked although I can't remember now if I set the game to a compatability mode.

I played this with a friend and it took us about 2 months of furry battles to end the human campaign,i loved this game,my first Strategy game.
I love this game! Best strategy eva ! :D :P So many units i was like wtf what im going to research back then hehehehe.
does anyone know how to get this on mac? I managed to find Fallout 2 for mac, surely both being old games this would be easy
you should do the campainge I think I spelled it right well story mode from the beginning like do the humans and the martiens. That would be cool like record the cut scenes too.
@MrDarkscale If your win 7 or win vista isnt 64 bits you can download windows me mode and play there
How do you get this to work properly on a modern pc? My disks are...buggy.
The cinematics run fine for me. You should check if your hardware is supporting the cutscenes though.
Offically the game doesn't support Windows 7, see my older posts. Just set the game installer on the CD to run in Win95 Compatability mode and it should install. I think thats what I did when I ran it on Win7.

I'm trying to install this but when the Autoplay menu pops up I hit the install Wotw thing but nothing happens, I have windows 7 I'm pretty sure that's what's wrong but anyway help.
what operating system and hardware are you playing this on?
The Strasburg RR Wolf and Wargames I don't remember what hardware i was using at the time but the computer was a quite good gaming rig, it could handle most games well, and the system, was windows xp. It also didnt like the modern screen i had so i had to use a very old screen to get it to run.

@abbiss89 I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and the game runs fine to me on it. So it works on Windows 7. :D

There must be a working torrent still hot on thepiratebay, I downloaded it recently. Just use some software like BitLord and it should work, hope it helps!
Can somebody please give me the pink to the patch download so this game can work on Windows 7? I loved this game and wish to get back to playing it!

@simix9 I have the game itself and it runs perfectly fine for me on Windows 7 64-Bit (my main computer) and Windows Vista 32-bit (my laptop)
The game itself is badly programed from what I read. Officaly It was most optimum on WIndows95A and would sometimes randomly crash on anything above Win95B-C 98-Me and form a permanent loop, and should not work on XP-Vista-Win7 at all. But Many people were playing it on WIndowsXP and XP-SP1 but couldn't when Sp2 came out. As for modified versions I don't see why not simply alter the code so the program can support the modern systems. But again it's totaly random as many people played just fine.

go on isohunt and look it up. you'll find one that works fine. you just need something like daemon tools or magic iso :)

@theinstinct64 I can honestly tell you that im not very good at this game myself, but i might be doing a campaign video soon. Then you can see how i play etc, might help you a bit.
