Here I am again, with you two. What an experience, this has been, again! Can never thank you enough, for your videos. Oh, the places I’ve been, through the two of you. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity of a lifetime. Congrats to you both.
You guys have no idea how much I've enjoyed your videos the last two weeks. I've binged all the camino videos multiple times now, and I hope you're both able to keep traveling the world without going back to a typical job ever again! Your videos are so inspirational well crafted and wholesome, as are your amazing travels. All the best to you!
I'll be there, two months from today!!! September 16th, 2024! Thank you Josh and Lisa for taking the time to create these video's. I have watched them twice and I'll watch them several more times before I depart. I absolutely loved each one! Buen Camino!! 🥾🥰
I switched out my planned shoes for gortex shoes the night before leaving. Day 2 I had a blister which I think was caused by the gortex. So, I'm saying wear breathable shoes. Tip 2, if you by a sim card from vodafone at the airport, trying making a phone call right then. I arrived Santiago yesterday and have not been able to make calls the entire way at least having the data was great. I only had a couple of hours walking in the rain, right before taking the boat ride. Bom Camino!
@@jacquistaben8999 Thanks for the reply!! Loved the Porto walk you did - not so busy and can change between coast & inland .... know it was not your fav but your partners summary sold me - hey safe travels
Congratulations you 2 ! I absolutely love watching you guys. I have always wanted to travel. Watching you have given me the itch to start my own exploring. Life's to short to sit still. Thank you for sharing your adventures and I can't wait for more content. 😊❤
I am so so very proud of both of you and that's two Caminos in the bag and not even rain and mud able to dampened both of your indomitable spirit .. truly awesome , marathon on steroids back to back , Congratulations Lisa and Josh
"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great." Woohoo - well done both!! Enjoyed following your journey to soothe my own post-Camino blues. Looking forward to seeing you tackle the deadly hills of the del Norte in 2024 :) 'The DMV of the Camino de Santiago' is a perfect description.
It's an undescribable feeling, as Josh said. I got teary just watching you enter the plaza and yes, goosebumpey, Lisa. We were there as tourists a few weeks ago and I still got emotional. Thanks for sharing 🙏🌹
It's been such a great ride with you both. I am *almost* convinced I need to do at least some portion of the trail. It looks like such a rewarding experience. Looking forward to more travel adventures with y'all! 🙂
I walked Sarria to Santiago in 2019 and I found arriving at the Cathedral truly a moment of achievement. Unfortunatelyit was closed that year for renovations. To hear you say your Camino ended at the Pilgrims House...Wow! I must visit next time, sounds special 💫
What a PERFECT ending. That would have been my inspiration to finish despite the rain and all the challenges you both encountered along the way. Great series.
Congrats. We finished a week ago. Stopped in the same, last stop cafe, in the same pouring rain, and had the same reaction as you. So nice to see it in video. So glad you captured the emotion.
I stopped at the same cafe on my way to santiago which of course lots of pilgrims do but I loved seeing it again. I also Loved watching your videos hope you do another camino one day.
Congratulations on completing another Camino. My friend was also doing the Portuguese Coastal route and at Pontevedra took the Spiritual route and as far as I know, she has arrived in Santiago today. For her this is her third Camino ... maybe you'll become Pilgrims for life
A great series. I am about to start my 6th camino. Walking from Porto to Valença do Minho then from Muxia to Fisterre. I was injured when we did the 2nd last time and couldn't finish it. You really captured the essence of the experience. Thank you❤
Awesome guys! You have such great energy - I love your style :-) We've walked the Camino Frances 3 times so far and really enjoyed sharing your journey. Congratulations and enjoy Mallorca, you guys deserve it! Buen Camino!
I just finished the Camino yesterday so seeing some of the same areas was fresh in my head. We had the same response at coming up with the two markers pointing different directions you probably did the same and pulled out your app to discover the two options would converge not too far down the road. Now I sit at the albergue resting mt swollen ankle.
Muchas felicidades!
I tried articulating my feelings upon arriving at Santiago De Campostela, the only word I could think of was Profound & Blessed!...my purpose was fellowshipping with Christ during the journey...it was an amazing experience.
Just found you two from the 3 Days in Sydney video and binge-watched the entire Camino Portugues series. AND, booked my own trip for next fall, thank YOU!
Congratulations 👏 👏 🎉🎉 I really enjoyed watching you walk this. I only learnt about the Camino a few months ago because a friend was heading off in March. In fact, they are on it now taking 6 weeks to walk almost 850km 😳 I really like the way you did it though, by carrying your own bags and just booking as you went. Your whole experience looked super flexible and therefore very relaxed.
Lovely to watch your videos for the 2nd time - just ahead of my own Camino Portugues that starts a week tomorrow!! I’m a bit scared & anxious so your videos have been so fun & reassuring for me. ❤❤
Bravo peregrinos! I've followed your trip with interest and pleasure, the ups and downs, good days and bad. The weather made you earn your compostelas and I'm sure you will treasure them all the more because of it. In Setember, if my ancient body & numerous old injuries permit, I will be setting off on my own camino from Porto. I will be sure to use your films as my guide. Thanks.
Congratulations Lisa and Josh! I start my Camino where I left off 15 years ago in Puente de la Reina on May 11th. I am very excited about this journey, nervous and a little anxious as well, but that is part of the process. Thank you for all the videos! Buen Camino!
Me and my wife have loved watching you do this journey twice. Since this is a pilgrimage, do you see people stopping to pray along the way? Best of travels to you two.
Congratulations to you both on another successful Camino de Santiago adventure! Really enjoyed your videos and can't wait to see where you're headed next!
Going again on the Camino in a few days and I remember you mentioning The Pilgrim House ,I did not visit last time and am definitely visiting this time…cannot wait.
Newly subscribed and been catching up on your videos. Congratulations on completing TWO Caminos!!! Thank you so much for all of your honesty, authenticity and of course, your time and energy on these videos. Love what you shared on your journey and I wish you guys would do a "Wine and Recline" for all of your videos!!!! Blessings to you both!
It's been a long time since we have seen the "Lisa Shuffle." So will this be a yearly activity? Congratulations on your accomplishment. I would love to see you guys and those Wanderers on this journey.
Congratulations! Such a different entrance into Santiago than from the Frances...but the Coast of Portugal is truly magical...will have to get to the Pilgrim House nest time...many blessings to you both!
Hi, on Friday I finished 6 days walk starting in Valença and was watching your video of each stage the night before I did and found them very useful. But so I waiting for this one on Thursday! 😂 keep up the good work. I hope to get back next year for another 6 day stage!
Oh and I took the right through Conxo rather than left to Santa Maria… and I immediately regretted it as the signs ended almost immediately! And I didn’t see another pilgrim until I got to the cathedral… you made the right choice!
Oddly sad that you’re done because it’s been fun following you two on this adventure & shared calling to the camino. Feel free to throw in some post trip advice & thoughts!
I finished the Portuguese central route on May 2. We only had 1 day with heavy rain. I Ioved it but didn’t like all the cobble stones, which were hard on my feet. I prefer the Frances due to plenty of elevation and scenery changes. I will be doing the Norte in September.
Love your Camino videos, thank you! A suggestion: keep them as a documentary, like you did with Camino Francés, not individual vídeos by day like you did with Camino Portugués. I wasn’t able to watch them in chronological order as they didn’t appear that way on RUclips and I think I never saw a couple of them. Other than that, I really like your travel reporting style and your candor. ♥️
It's like you feel the accomplishment - AND YOU ARE - but you don't want the journey to end. Unless it's rainy. Josh, if Bart Starr and the Packers can traverse a polar ice cap to win an NFL title, you can walk the last wet steps of the Camino. GIANT PIZZA! But could you get Packers games in that last town? THERE....IT....IS!!! The last video I had just watched on RUclips was the moon landing video of Apollo 11. You must have felt similar to what they did as you made it. But even I sing better, man. And that pilgrim's place sounds like an amazing retreat house. So cool there's a dedicated place that focuses on helping you process it all. My wife AnonyMommy wants that sangria with you next time. Next for you two: Superior to Kenosha. 427.7 miles. More than double the Camino you just did.
We walked the full Frances route last year. I remember that feeling of arriving. I noticed you didn't go through the tunnel with the bagpiper. Is it because of the different camino? My sister and i are talking about walking the coastal route you just did. It will probably be a few years before we do it.
yes! we noticed this difference as well--the route brought us in through the other side of the square, but we could still hear the bagpiper in the distance :)
I have a question! Josh, did you loose the 10 pounds you thought you might shed by the end of Camino? Great videos! You and Lisa shared a lot of awesome info and it was fun watching you two. My husband and I look forward to walking the Portuguese Central Camino in August. Thanks for all the great tips.
Thank you @Lisa and Josh for taking us on the beautiful, fun and adventurous journey. I'd sincerely appreciate your thoughts: To what extent do you think wild camping or camping in campgrounds is possible on the Camino Frances? My partner and I are experienced lightweight backpackers and already have our gear and would enjoy being able to camp part of the time and to occasionally stay in albergues and hotels. And do you think it would it be possible to do this while still meeting up with new friends for meals in town? We've also heard horror stories about how noisy some of the albergues can be at night, making it impossible to sleep, so that a tent for a good part of the time seems even more attractive (would you agree)? Yes I realize you appreciate a good hotel room - as we all do sometimes : )
Please tell me more about how I can book a !0 Euro flight to Palma de Mallorca! Walking the Spiritual Variant of the Portuguese next year and would love to stop in Mallorca on my way home.
Really inspired by your Camino content!!! Both the first and second. I just completed the Kumano Kodo in Japan - will go guys go and do that and get dual pilgrim status? :)
