Speaking as an actual owner of the product and like was posted by Jason , i've had many many Roombas since the beginning. I also miss the good ol Scooba. I own two s9+s and a Braava M6 currently. I haven't been a huge fan of the Braava. its meant for small spaces, where our entire first floor is hardwood. When my s9+ had bumper issues & was just being a chore to maintain, after almost a thousand clean jobs, i felt it was ready to retire to my other robot vacuum storage, i saw the J7 combo on sale and grabbed it. Surprisingly the J7+ combo is by far the best i've owned of all the series. It is annoying for a large home to have to fill the tank twice a week, agreed, the tank is super small compared to the other mopping products. I have it only mopping once a week at this rate. As far as filling the tank: also agreed the spill factor makes me nervous as it can go right into the filter. But i've been really impressed with the J7 combo and i was super skeptical. It does a fantastic job on a 2000+ square foot first floor. Just my two cents on this.
No idea, but it appears that you're supposed to pour it all over the top of the tank and some straight into the sink. That way you'll need to buy more sooner.
On their website I found this when I was looking what to put in it "iRobot Braava jet 200 series, Braava jet 300 series, Braava jet m6, and Roomba Combo j7+ are compatible with Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner and Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner."
Nah, give us a self cleaning mop. The point of a self emptying vacuum is that it's hands off and we don't have to keep emptying the bin. But you want us to fill the water bin and clean the mop pad every time it runs?
I've had a Roomba since the original... bought it, then Dirt Dog, then a 600 series and finally an i7+ which is really wonderful. The i7+ is literally hassle-free and finally has a positive ROI in terms of me not spending more time tending the robot than actually cleaning myself. I am dying for a really good mop that does the same thing. This mop bolt-on is maybe something I'd buy if I didn't already have an i7+, but ideally I'd like a hassle-free mop. The Braava line just doesn't do it for me. Too many restrictions on floor thresholds between room, etc. Give me a true successor to the Scooba with the same set-and-forget as the i7+. Not a Braava bolt-on to your existing vacuum line.
Im new to Roomba's but I'm totally disappointed by the mop feature as brand new, out the box, it just constantly errors that it can't detect the mop even though it's brand new and installed. A waste of $300 if that function doesn't work. I'm on day 3 , sadly the support line was closed by the time the Roomba arrived on Friday
This design is bad. Think about it, when you are adding water, this is a good chance you will wet the filer on the side of the bin, it will make the robot un-usable when the filter is wet, you don't want run it with wet filter. You can wait the filter to dry (which will take at least couple of hours) or change the filter (then you will need to have multiple backup filters). Or you have to remove the filter before fill then put it back after fill. Secondly, you may spill water into the dust bin, then you will have to dry the dust bin before run the robot, you don't want the dust goes into wet bin and become mud when it is cleaning your floor, don't you.
1. There is no self cleaning mop 2. The tank is too small that won't really wet the pad 3. After the cleaning, the dirty pad will put directly on the robot that contaminate the machine

How often should the tank be emptied? Is there an option on the app to alert when it needs emptied? The same for the dirt bin and clean water tank?

I want to know why there are no instructions for how to add the tank and what kind of cleaning solution. WTF!
irobot you shouldve made a video on how to remove the mop pad without damaging
aren't you supposed to add water
Can someone tell me an approved cleaning solution? Dont really know which one i can use

Can I use Clorox ?

This is so true.

Yeah give us the Scooba back !
have a look at the roborock S7 MaxV ultra. It will do what you are asking for. The scooba successor could be Zaco W450
That dude needs a small cup to pure the liquid in. That was pretty bad wasting the product and wetting the filter.
User Error.
For real he fills the tank like a psycho! I came here looking for ideas on how to not do like 10% of the spilling this man did.
Roomba sent me a replacement under warranty and they sent me one with no hole to pour the solution into. wtf 😬

@ConecoTheAwesome What no way
I think they missed it on this one. This will be half price on Amazon within a few months.
