Yesterday bought Sparkle White for my cottage, NW Indiana here. Reminds me of dancing butterflies, I may go back and buy another for the other side of my entrance way to the deck.

I have been searching for YEARS for this favorite of mine back in 2003, but I could never remember the name, or what terms to google. Finally I saw "ornamental grass" in a different google search and - low and behold - there it was. Recently re-classified under Genus Oenothera lindheimeri. I love 'Siskiyou Pink' !

Can you buy seeds for this plant. I don't mind it spreading. I can give some to friends. I would also use it for the center of a container pot, and plant maybe a dark purple super bell around the base. Had some super bells that bloomed all spring thru the first of October. They are drought tolerant also. But they mound beautifully and spill over the container. Love the pink also. I just need to find seeds for this. There's a plant called Selene that is similar, but tends to die out in mid summer. This tho would be perfect in my wild meadow area. Be lovely as a cut filler plant in an arrangement.

In the winter time it looks like it's a tumbleweed... Can that be cut off flush with the ground or should I just leave it alone and let it do what it does?
