The thing that I have always found funny about Light losing, is how Ryuk pretty much was very clear that he would be the one to write down Light's name. But Light didn't care about that in the slightest, until it actually happened. Even better that Ryuk never truly stated when or where he would do this.
Too bad L dies. I truly loved both Light and L, but you can't make a better world (by killing people) with a detective in your way. I wanted Light to stay alive but what he was doing was wrong. In the end, L/Near was the winner bc they were right to do so

Miyano mamoru, the voice actor of kira is definitely one of the best voice actors in anime world. many times he performed Kira's evil laugh in live shows and fan meetings without any changes. in one of his interviews, he evenn mentioned how he fell deeply for the Kira's character and that he was so engrossed in to the character. like he was kira from his inside, and his looks also similar to this character some ways.that when they were about to dubb Kira's death in last episode, on his way to the studio he was getting chills and like he was just too scared and all sort of dark thoughts were going around his head cuz he knew that Kira was gonna die that day. and he saw himself dying as well. that feelings were like something or someone was pulling him in to the deep darkness and felt like he couldn't move. the connection between voice actors with their characters are not just a career thing...
the guy who plays light in the tv drama is waaay better, he really turned into a psychopath as kira. He even won the japanese drama awards for playing light ^^

Even though most of you disagree, anime should have ended like the movie with L winning and later dying. What they did in anime was pathetic. It was orginally planned to have L defeat Light but they needed more money so they came up with Near and Mello. And the way L defeated Light is amazing, he totally caught Light of guard. Movie was awesome.
