Thank you sir, very happy to make the spotlight! Love your work, and every one of those sick rides!! Ironically, I just did a short Tribute vid this week to your RevBomb prowess! Ride safe brother
Ambulances aren't legally allowed break the speed limit. Also in urban areas often if the ambulance is driven more slowly & smoothly, allowing more medical attention to be delivered on-route, the patient arrives at the hospital sooner.
+G. Bell First of all, there is no such a thing as ambulance driver. In order to drive emergency ambulances, you must be either an ECA/ECSW (Emergency Care Assistant/Emergency Care Support Worker), EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), EAC (Emergency Ambulance Crew), Student Technician or Student Paramedic (in-house training pathway), Paramedic, ECP (Emergency Care Practitioner) or CCP (Critical Care Paramedic), and probably, a couple of things more, but definitely not an ambulance driver. Let's get the basics right. Every single NHS Ambulance Trust set their own emergency (blue light) driving rules as for the speed limit. Some of them, eg EEAST, allow their staff to go up to 20 miles per hour over the stated speed limit. On the other hand, other Services' policy states that staff can go up to 50% faster than the stated speed limit, eg SWAST. This means 45mph in a 30mph zone, 75mph in a 50mph zone, and so on. However, staff must always find the balance between rapidity and patient's comfort, specially when driving under emergency circumstances. If, on top of that, the patient is feeling sick on the back of the ambulance or, the attendant needs to stand up to take care of the patient, speed must be reduced. Having to pay attention to the back of the ambulance and driving with blues ant twos is not an easy task at all. Ambulance staff are not supposed to drive as fast as they can but as safe as they can. As long as the vehicle is making good progress, there is no point in rushing vehicles to get out of the ambulance way, as they can panic and have an accident, meaning that, even despite the fact that the ambulance was not involved in the accident, they would have to pull over, wait for the police to arrive and the member of the staff who was driving, would have to be breathalysed and cautioned. Definitely, no one's cup of tea.
@RoyalJordanian, i would advice you to buy some super hydrophobic spray for your gopro lens, that way you can record rainy days better because no water drops would disturb your view
Very nice of you to give one of your subscribers a spotlight. Good RJ! I like your videos, by the way. Been watching for a while but I don't comment much. I like that you're different and not your typical motovlogger that curses every other word. Man of few words! Keep up the good work buddy! :)
Yo dude! I'm about to start my vlogs with my Raptor 700 quad on the road we should have a sound contest lol, hope to see you out on the road soon bro! Love your edits man nice talking to you on facebook ✌
Hey RJ, i am a paramedic in Germany and when I drive the ambulance with patient, paramedic assisstent and doctor I have to slow down. In this moment we are responsible for 3 healthy and 1 critical life. So its hard to find the right speed to get fast to the hospital on the one side, but on the other side to be careful because of the 2 medicals in the back of the ambulance... Driving to the emergency in race modus, driving back to hospitl with patient like an old lady =D
In the states, following any emergency vehicle, can get you a BIG ticket for hindering. I don't envy your London traffic, but I sure love the beautiful scenery outside of the city!
+Herr Fenchel I wouldn't risk it. They do exist but they are for glass. I ruined one of my visors by using such a spray, they're not meant for porous surfaces like plastics. Look into an antifog coating from a dive shop or consider mounting your camera at a slight angle.
tucsondog I am aware of that. Better cameras do have a glass lense though. And for example there are glasses for the waterproof case of the Gopro. Might not take the risk, but it´s worth a thought.
Idea for when it's raining. You know the spray you get for shoes to keep them dry? Spray that on your lens. The drips will just roll straight off and can't stick. That's for when you have that one bit of rain that doesn't go and just sits there ruining the footage! :)
Hi RJ, love from India. Your videos are very inspiring, good job. I also do vlogging but I have poor sound recording. How or what you use to record sound while driving, maybe faster? I have Sony X1000V but bad sound. Thanks and good luck.
I think if I was driving that ambulance I'd be cursing a biker that dodged past me. Those guys have a most important job to do and they are trying to do it safely and quickly. Having to worry about traffic coming up behind and passing while they are trying to thread traffic themselves is not very respectful. In fact in my country it is illegal.
Being someone that has recently come from a CBT to a full licence, its scare to see people on L plates riding so incompetent. I understand we all need to learn sometime.
Regarding 3:24, I dont know if it's just my luck but especially on the m27/m3 I've had so many issues with those "Enterprise" Vans, they're all out to kill me! Keep drifting over or pulling out on their phones etc, not like they can't hear me coming...
Have you tried something like Rain-X on the weather sealed case of the GoPro to make the water slide off easier? They recommend it on their site (GoPro does), I use it on mine as I have it on my dog and she runs in the sea :P
Heh..was my mistake. Texas should be "Dallas" (tv-serie) and JR. I didn remember that correct =D It has looong time when that came from tv. But Jardanian Royal with double cheese, not bad either!
in the video you drive with the grom when its rainy. Do you do that everytime when it rains about de lower power than the other? sorry for the bad grammar.
+RoyalJordanian So... moral of the story if you need a trip to the hospital in England don't call the Ambulance call RJ he will get you there faster!!!
+Beasteri I don't know about you but i would rather have the ambulance go slower so that my injuries aren't getting worse from all the bumps in the road.
Hello! I love your video but the Honda MSX 125, I found that the noise of the exhaust is too disturbing, no? I mean when you're a constant speed: D friendly, a new fan! !
+RoyalJordanian putting a coat of Rain-X windshield liquid makes water droplets fall right off the camera lenses, I've used it on several GoPros, and it works flawlessly, you should try it out :)
hey those metzeler feelfree wintec you put on the grom how good are they in cold rain, snow and melting snow conditions getting a 2016 msx/grom soon for all year commuting btw love that bike collection
this is why they should use assistance bikes like one with a difibulator and basic necessary things to assist the person until the actual ambulance comes
Please bare in Mind there are probably crew in the back doing their best to keep someone alive. Worse case doing CPR. Driving erratically is not going to help in the slightest.
RJ, honest question. Why the shake of the head towards the ambulance near the end (11:30ish) ? Frustration at how long it took before it caught up, or did it do something wrong that i am missing ?
RJ - buy some hydrophobic spray and put it on the waterproof case of your GoPro - then when it rains the water drops will roll right off and won't ruin the shot :) Amazon sell it, Brantano sell it to put on shoes etc, it's all the same stuff
Hey RJ, I wanted to ask a few things. Do you use your camera for security purposes too, outside of RUclips? And, Do you have your camera on at all times or just when you chose to? :)

+IronicRebound You are welcome :)
That little red car was an Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite by the way
+Jack Wheatley you beat me to it!!!
+Jack Wheatley sweet, I had no IDEA, never seen it before
Lee Ward I was surprised no one had mentioned it ha :)
I'm a simple man, when I see RJ videos.

+G. Bell yes they are, they can claim an exemption under law. Section 87 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
I know of 4 cases where ambulance drivers have been prosecuted for speeding while responding to a 999 call.
+GTgameTime They shouldn't travel faster than 20mph above the posted speed limit.

+G. Bell They're emergency response vehicles - If they're heading to a call they can go whatever speed.
I tend to curl my toes a little when RJ is throttling up on wet roads with paint stripes whilst lane splitting. Excellent video btw.
@RoyalJordanian, i would advice you to buy some super hydrophobic spray for your gopro lens, that way you can record rainy days better because no water drops would disturb your view
Is it weird that sometimes I listen to the videos of him filtering as I fall asleep? I find the sound of the engines extremely relaxing.
Very nice of you to give one of your subscribers a spotlight. Good RJ!
I like your videos, by the way. Been watching for a while but I don't comment much. I like that you're different and not your typical motovlogger that curses every other word.
Man of few words! Keep up the good work buddy! :)
I guess I haven't seen every one of his videos since Fed 2014 ;-) But still, it is very nice of him to spotlight his fans! Good man, he is.
shout out from India RJ !
+1
Yo dude! I'm about to start my vlogs with my Raptor 700 quad on the road we should have a sound contest lol, hope to see you out on the road soon bro! Love your edits man nice talking to you on facebook ✌
Some say rj is still following that ambulance
out of all the moto vloggers I'm subscribed to, RJ is the one I look forward to the most!
I could listen to the sound this bikes make all day.
Always good to have an ambulance close by when you riding in conditions like that.
I love your videos and watching your pedestrian rewinds makes me laugh, keep doing what you do. I hope to get my bike back k. the road soon 😞
Absolutely love your videos RJ, they make me quite happy! Would love to get a bike like those once
In Melbourne we have paramedics on motorcycles to arrive and administer initial care before the ambulance arrives.
I find these videos extremely relaxing
Ironic Rebound, that at 13.40 it´s a Citroen Mehari.
my head is still vibrating after listening to the grom following that ambulance
the superduke and the s1000r sound amazing!!

With the 'surely you can go faster' clip it could be a good chance of it being a spinal or neck injury! You go slow to prevent any further injury.
Me thinks RJ should become London's Motorcycle Paramedic. That response time!
mic picks up the sound of the bike really well
KTM 1290 Super Duke R sounds vicious at full throttle, love it
RJ you need a RSV4 to complete your beatifull symphony!
In the states, following any emergency vehicle, can get you a BIG ticket for hindering.
I don't envy your London traffic, but I sure love the beautiful scenery outside of the city!
Mad kudos for checking wether that dog had been abandoned.
i love watching thes videos just because i like the sound of the egsaust pipe
I had one of those mirrors when I used to cycle, never got used to it and was always paranoid it would stab my face lol
5:37 I am wondering if there is a hdrophobic Nanospray on the market for camera lenses?
+Herr Fenchel There are some hydrophobic sprays for windshields. Maybe they work on lenses, too.
+Herr Fenchel There is some emerging tech that is safe for plastics, but it drys as a film. I suppose upgrading to a glass lens cover could help.
+Herr Fenchel I'm sure you can get small glass lens covers to spray it onto.
Nice rev with the grom, I like that :)
I feel like RJ would make a really good Motorcycle paramedic! He'd be at calls is a flash!
I was just going say it's never rain in London on your videos then it's bloody does great videos RJ .
Idea for when it's raining. You know the spray you get for shoes to keep them dry? Spray that on your lens. The drips will just roll straight off and can't stick. That's for when you have that one bit of rain that doesn't go and just sits there ruining the footage! :)
My current score with pigeons: 1 dead pigeon - 1 broken windscreen
oh god i never thought id see the word vibe on an rj video
13:43, that is a Citroën Méhari, the chassis, suspension and driveline are the same as on the Citroën 2CV. In GTA 5, its called the Canis Kalahari ;)
3:44 Sound of my heart! :-)
13:43 that's a Citroën Mehari for the use of beach
It must really suck to need an ambulance in London. Good god.
Comfort is sometimes more important than speed.
What does the red "L" sign stand for under the licenseplate and why do you need it?
Hi RJ, love from India. Your videos are very inspiring, good job. I also do vlogging but I have poor sound recording. How or what you use to record sound while driving, maybe faster?
I have Sony X1000V but bad sound. Thanks and good luck.
the ambulance might of had a person with back/neck injury so was trying for a smoth and fast ride ?
I think if I was driving that ambulance I'd be cursing a biker that dodged past me. Those guys have a most important job to do and they are trying to do it safely and quickly. Having to worry about traffic coming up behind and passing while they are trying to thread traffic themselves is not very respectful. In fact in my country it is illegal.
that learner still has a lot to learn xD
The ambulance may have had someone in critical condition in the back who needed to be kept as still/calm as possible, hence the driver taking it easy.

Dont stop under the Pigeons hahaha very true :)
I love that woman's smile at 1:00 haha
I've never been to London, but I'm almost positive I could draw a map at this point.
Hey RJ did you ever get around to testing the 701? and what do you think of the new design for the 2016 MSX
+Jak Pls Getting one for a 2 week test end of next week, watch this space. I really like the 2016 MSX.
That was a Good one R.J.
RJ, u can try next time use this;
Q: r u RJ?
RJ: no! im from texas and they call me JR
Jordanian Royal? Sounds like something you buy at burger king....
Heh..was my mistake. Texas should be "Dallas" (tv-serie) and JR. I didn remember that correct =D It has looong time when that came from tv. But Jardanian Royal with double cheese, not bad either!
Sounds good! ;)
in the video you drive with the grom when its rainy. Do you do that everytime when it rains about de lower power than the other? sorry for the bad grammar.
hello RJ, hope you're well, I'm curious as to what satellite navigation you use for your bike? I'm looking to buy one.
The yellow car the in the subscriber highlight was a Citoen Mehari I think. Very funny cars.
2:45 it always amaze how learner riders don't have their feet on the foot rests when on the move.
Hahaha that was me on the first part of the video!😂 yes I was going to say that!!
Maybe they should put paramedics on motorcycles in London?!
+RoyalJordanian So... moral of the story if you need a trip to the hospital in England don't call the Ambulance call RJ he will get you there faster!!!
What exhaust do you have on the MSX? Sounds really good.
that ambulance definetely didn't look like it was going to save someones' life..
+Beasteri I don't know about you but i would rather have the ambulance go slower so that my injuries aren't getting worse from all the bumps in the road.
Hello! I love your video but the Honda MSX 125, I found that the noise of the exhaust is too disturbing, no? I mean when you're a constant speed: D
friendly, a new fan! !
Apparently emergency services in your area should be riding Grom 125's. Grom 125's save lives~! lol
What exhaust do you have on your Grom? Sounds amazing 😆
Royal is observations just driving around
@ironic rebound, the red one was a frogeye sprite and the yellow one was a citroen cv
Hey RJ, ever thought about putting a hydrophobic coating on your camera lens? (like RainX or something)
I am seriously considering about getting a Aprilia Dorsoduro :)
what two bikes are those at 3:56? the comparison of the vtwin and the il4
What a sweet sound it is. I wonder how many riders have amp'd up their exhaust system after enjoying your videos. See what you've done? :)
10.00 - took you long enough to lap that ambulance ;)
coz he had sirenes u idiot
You do know what lapping means, don't you?
+jugglerjim01 yea...
Good morning R.J.
+RoyalJordanian putting a coat of Rain-X windshield liquid makes water droplets fall right off the camera lenses, I've used it on several GoPros, and it works flawlessly, you should try it out :)
wAIT WHAT.... That lambo dude does *NOT* no how to get in neutral ... rentaaaaaal
When running, you have to pull both the paddles to get into neutral, then pull one to get in the right gear, right?
Ujwal Thakur
I thought so.. bc Ferrari has it like that
The only reason why the ambulance didn't go faster is because it was wet
What is your opinion about the BMW R Nine T? Thank you in advance.
7:15 The Mighty Hand of RJ fix the viev ;) Thanks RJ.
hey those metzeler feelfree wintec you put on the grom how good are they in cold rain, snow and melting snow conditions getting a 2016 msx/grom soon for all year commuting
btw love that bike collection
+kennet knudsen They are very good as they are rated W+S
+RoyalJordanian thanks migth order some to have the dealer replace the stockers when they take the grom out of the crate
I love MSX :-)
this is why they should use assistance bikes like one with a difibulator and basic necessary things to assist the person until the actual ambulance comes
+Wayne Rhea They all ready have those.
wellin other parts of the world.
Wayne Rhea We have Medic bikers in some parts of UK.
13:35 = Frogeye Sprite
13:40 = Citroen Mehari
Now you know... :p
those cycling helm mirror is nice for touring, but i wouldnt use it in the city
What's the red bike during the second ambulance bit?
Please bare in Mind there are probably crew in the back doing their best to keep someone alive. Worse case doing CPR. Driving erratically is not going to help in the slightest.
did you ride the grom in rain bc its way cheaper if you would drop it or just
coincidence?
13:13 that moment when RJ realises he fucked up
Ed van Andel I thought it was him
+akhil krishna nope just a shout out to another channel. guys pretty funny by the looks of it
RJ, honest question. Why the shake of the head towards the ambulance near the end (11:30ish) ? Frustration at how long it took before it caught up, or did it do something wrong that i am missing ?
+Fishbait075 Because when it finally caught up, the drivers were too slow moving out of it's way.
Thanks for the reply RJ. I thought it might have been something like that. Didn't think you would be that judgemental towardsthe ambulance itself.
nice bike RJ
ironic rebond va apprécié c est un motosvogler qie j apprecie et suis. belle prestation video rj ride safe peace
+Sylvain Chable Merci!!
some might say that ambulance is still going
What is that L sign under the mineralogic plate of these scooters ?
For learners
+luke marshall Ok ty :D
RJ - buy some hydrophobic spray and put it on the waterproof case of your GoPro - then when it rains the water drops will roll right off and won't ruin the shot :) Amazon sell it, Brantano sell it to put on shoes etc, it's all the same stuff
Hey RJ, I wanted to ask a few things.
Do you use your camera for security purposes too, outside of RUclips?
And, Do you have your camera on at all times or just when you chose to? :)
Don't call for an Ambulance, call for an RJ. Seriously how can they go so slow, here in Australia they will blast you with sirens and horns if you don't move, red light, heavy traffic or anything you are forced to find a way to make room, they will even go on the wrong side of the road if its safe. Crazy.
+burns0100
Of course there's a difference between an ambulance going TO an accident and an ambulance coming FROM an accident. The first will take more risk to be at the scene asap, while the second has to bring a patient to a hospital while he/she is treated inside the ambulance.
Ed van Andel How do you know which is which though? they had sirens on and lights, that normally means going to.
+burns0100
You don't. So give them space to go through. Lights + sirens = "MAKE WAY !!!!". ;-))
Ed van Andel Uhh yer i know. Thats what i said, how come they let cars slow them down over there in England. They should be in a rush yet RJ is quicker...
+burns0100
Maybe something critical was happening inside. Nobody knows.
